The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne

Chapter 770: The Demon General Lilithra

Chapter 770: The Demon General Lilithra

Clang!

The sound of two weapons colliding echoed through the air. Sword and hammer locked against each other as the two figures stared coldly into each other’s eyes.

Rei suddenly spun and drove a kick into Drazhul’s stomach.

Drazhul was sent flying nearly thirty meters before he managed to regain his balance.

He looked up at Rei and smirked.

"Hahaha! What’s the matter, Hero of Light? Is this all you’ve got?" he mocked.

Rei took a deep breath and adjusted his stance.

Without a word, he lunged forward. Raising his sword high above his head, he brought it down in a powerful slash.

Drazhul swung his hammer upward and blocked the attack.

But in the next instant, Rei pulled his sword back, twisted his body, and slashed across Drazhul’s stomach with a swift strike.

Caught off guard, Drazhul staggered back several steps, his face turning pale.

He touched his wound and saw blood staining his right palm.

"Damn it..." he growled. "What a cheap trick, taking advantage of my momentary lapse!"

He stomped his foot, causing the ground beneath him to tremble violently.

Rei remained expressionless. In battle, there was no such thing as fairness—only victory and defeat.

Bending his knees, he burst forward and leaped high into the air, raising the Divine Sword Luminus above his head.

Drazhul no longer dared to underestimate him. He immediately swung his giant hammer at Rei.

Boom!

The impact sent Rei hurtling upward.

At the same time, Drazhul crouched and launched himself after him.

"Die!"

As he brought his hammer crashing toward Rei’s face, Rei suddenly grinned.

Then his body exploded into a cloud of white smoke, instantly obscuring Drazhul’s vision.

Drazhul’s eyes widened in shock. A searing pain suddenly shot through his eyes and the wound in his stomach, causing him to lose his balance and plummet toward the ground.

In the next instant, Rei appeared beside him and drove his sword into the right side of Drazhul’s abdomen.

Srck!

The blade pierced so deeply that it sank to the hilt.

Drazhul groaned in agony. He tried to swing his fist and crush Rei’s head, but his body refused to obey.

It felt as if all the strength in his body was being drained away along with the blood flowing from his wounds.

"What’s happening!? Why do I feel so... weak!?" he cried out in panic.

"Pfft! Drazhul, I didn’t expect you to be this weak," Rei taunted.

He twisted the sword slightly, causing Drazhul to let out another painful groan.

"After our last battle, I realized just how powerful you are. Your regenerative abilities are every bit as terrifying as your physical strength. That’s why I developed a new technique specifically to deal with someone like you," Rei said with a faint chuckle. "And its name is Life Force Drain."

The moment those words left his mouth, Drazhul felt his life force being drained through the Divine Sword Luminus.

"N-No! Stop! Argh! Rei Lionheart, you cheat! Argh!"

Drazhul struggled desperately, trying to pull himself free from the Divine Sword Luminus.

Unfortunately, all his efforts were futile. The sword was buried too deeply in his body to be removed by force.

He threw punch after punch at Rei, but the man remained completely unmoved, standing as firm as a mountain.

With every passing second, Drazhul’s attacks grew weaker and slower.

Finally, after five minutes, Drazhul stopped moving. His eyes lost all light, and his body had withered drastically, a clear sign that nearly all of his life force had been drained away.

Rei pulled his sword free and let out a long sigh.

"Finally. I managed to kill this damn demon," he muttered, kicking Drazhul’s lifeless corpse.

Rei wasn’t foolish enough to waste time in a prolonged battle.

Besides, he had spent years preparing for this war, devising countless strategies to deal with each demon general—including Drazhul.

Without wasting another moment, he turned his gaze forward and resumed his advance.

He needed to seize control of the city as quickly as possible and eliminate the demon soldiers holding back his forces.

...

"The second tower!"

Evalyn swung her sword at the tower before her.

Slash!

The tower split cleanly in two before collapsing backward, crushing several nearby buildings beneath its massive weight.

Without stopping, Evalyn shifted her gaze toward the third tower on the southern side of the city.

Hundreds of demon soldiers were pursuing her from behind. One of them pointed his sword at her and shouted, "Catch her! Don’t let her escape!"

Evalyn was fully aware of their presence, but she paid them no attention. Her priority was to destroy all the towers as quickly as possible.

"The third tower!"

She leaped into the air and slashed at the thirty-meter-tall structure.

Slash!

In an instant, the tower was sliced in half and came crashing down.

Without slowing down, Evalyn sprinted toward the fourth tower, three hundred meters away.

As soon as she reached it, she swung her sword and brought it down as well.

Then she rushed toward the fifth and final tower. But just as she was about to strike, a sudden sense of danger washed over her.

She reacted immediately, spinning around and leaping backward onto the roof of a four-meter-high building.

Her eyes narrowed as she stared at the empty space ahead.

"Stop hiding like a coward! Show yourself!" she shouted.

"Oh? How interesting."

A teasing voice echoed through the air.

"I didn’t expect you to evade my invisible threads and even sense my presence. It seems you’ll be the dark horse of this war."

A moment later, the space distorted, and a giant spider slowly emerged from thin air.

She had the body of a stunning woman, but her eight eyes made her appearance utterly terrifying.

Standing over three meters tall, she possessed eight razor-sharp spider legs capable of tearing a human body apart in an instant.

"Demon General Lilithra," Evalyn murmured.

She was the fifth Demon General, infamous for her strange and deadly abilities.

Lilithra could release thousands—perhaps even tens of thousands—of nearly invisible spider threads. A single misstep was enough to have one’s head severed from their body.

That was why she was considered the most dangerous of the Demon Generals.

Even compared to Demon General Malgrion, whom Evalyn had slain before, Lilithra was far more dangerous.

Even so, Evalyn felt no fear. She had prepared thoroughly for this battle.

Pointing her sword at Lilithra, she declared, "Surrender. You won’t be able to defeat me."

Lilithra let out a soft chuckle at those confident words.

"Isn’t that line supposed to be mine?" she said teasingly. "But I like it. You’re quite intriguing, young lady. So..."

She slowly licked her lips. "Let me taste your flesh!"

With a wave of her hand, hundreds of spider threads shot toward Evalyn.

Evalyn immediately leaped backward, narrowly dodging the barrage.

However, a thread suddenly shot in from her blind spot and wrapped around her right ankle.

Before she could react, it yanked her off balance and slammed her into the building behind her.

"Hahaha! Is that all you’ve got?" Lilithra mocked.

Whoosh!

A sharp gust of wind came from Lilithra’s right.

Her eyes widened in surprise.

Before she could react, a sword pierced straight through her heart.

Evalyn appeared beside her, a faint smile on her lips.

"You should never underestimate your opponent," she said calmly. "I’m sure you’ve heard that phrase many times before, haven’t you?"
