The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne

Chapter 811: Solving the Problem

Chapter 811: Solving the Problem

"Nothing, you say? Then how are we supposed to get to Falling Star Academy?" Seira asked, struggling to contain her anger.

Robert scratched his temple.

"I’m sorry, Your Highness. There’s really nothing I can do. B-But I guarantee you’ll be able to leave by tomorrow morning! P-Please give me one more chance!"

He bowed his head, his body trembling.

Already fed up with his excuses, Seira waved her hand and turned to leave.

Rafine shot Robert a cold glance before following after her.

Once the two were out of sight, Robert’s remorseful expression vanished, replaced by a mocking smile.

"What fools," he sneered, straightening up. "I’m sure they never suspected I hid the magic stones in Colvar Forest."

Yes, it had all been an act. The magic stones needed to activate the teleportation portal were still there, hidden deep within Colvar Forest not far from the city.

His earlier claim about asking Falling Star Academy for help had also been nothing but nonsense.

He still had plenty of magic stones, so there was no reason to request more from the academy.

"But Mayor, is this plan really okay?" the soldier on his right asked. "The risk is extremely high, especially since their arrival is connected to the imperial palace. If we get caught, won’t we—"

Before he could finish, Robert raised a finger to his lips.

"Shh... Don’t overthink it. Got it? Leave everything to me."

The soldier swallowed the rest of his words and nodded silently.

"The rest of you too."

Robert swept his gaze across the other soldiers.

"Don’t worry about this. Since I’m the one who’ll benefit the most, I’ll take full responsibility. Keep your doubts to yourselves. Got it?"

"Got it, Mayor!" they replied in unison.

Robert gave a slight nod before turning around.

"Let’s head back."

...

Boom!

The door slammed shut with a loud bang, the sound echoing throughout the room.

"What’s wrong with that guy? I swear he did that on purpose," Seira complained, clearly annoyed.

She walked over to the sofa, sat down, and crossed her legs.

Rafine remained silent, her expression unreadable.

"I’m going to report this to my father. We’ll see who ends up losing first."

Just as Seira was about to use the magical communication device her father had given her, the door slowly opened.

Nolan stepped inside, carrying Eira in his arms.

"No need. I already got the magic stones."

Seira froze. She quickly stood up and asked in surprise, "You got the magic stones? How is that possible? Didn’t Robert say there weren’t any magic stones in Ruins City?"

Nolan set Eira down on the bed before explaining, "Robert lied. He’s been hiding Ruins City’s magic stones from us this whole time."

"What!? How is that possible!?" Seira exclaimed in shock.

"Nothing is impossible." Nolan shrugged. "You didn’t know he was affiliated with Prime Minister Roswell, did you?"

Seira’s eyes widened. Now everything made sense. No wonder the magic stones had disappeared so suddenly—Roswell was behind it all.

She fell silent for a few moments before letting out a long sigh.

"I understand. Roswell, is it? Just wait and see how I deal with that man later," she said coldly.

Nolan merely smiled and said nothing. He didn’t know whether his sister could cause Roswell any trouble, but it didn’t seem impossible.

After all, even Roswell considered Seira someone who shouldn’t be underestimated.

"Do you want to deal with Robert?" Seira asked.

Nolan waved his hand.

"No need. We need to head to Falling Star Academy now."

Seira thought that made sense and didn’t say anything further.

"By the way..."

Her eyes narrowed as she glanced at Rafine.

"When Nolan revealed that just now, why were you so calm, Rafine? Don’t tell me you already knew about it."

"Huh?"

Rafine froze and immediately panicked.

"That... That..."

She scratched the side of her face guiltily.

"Yes, I already knew."

A sigh escaped her lips.

"But Nolan told me not to tell you."

Nolan: "..."

Since when had he ever told her that?

But he was too lazy to argue and decided to help her out.

"Yeah, I’m the one who told her not to say anything. Don’t blame her."

Seira pursed her lips before giving a slight nod.

***

Nolan, Seira, Eira, and Rafine stood in front of the Ruins City portal. The area was completely deserted, with no one around.

Nolan stepped up to the portal and opened his palm.

Several magic stones suddenly appeared and dropped around the edge of the portal.

He then infused the stones with magic, making them glow as they synchronized with the portal.

Buzz!

The portal lit up, and a purple vortex soon appeared within it.

"It’s active. Let’s go."

Nolan stepped through first. Eira followed behind him, with Seira and Rafine close behind.

***

Nolan opened his eyes and found himself in the middle of a strange and unfamiliar city. It was twice as large as Ruins City.

"Anaris Magic City..." Nolan murmured with satisfaction. "We’ve finally made it."

Seira, Eira, and Rafine stepped out of the portal and looked around in awe.

"So, this is Anaris Magic City, huh? It’s huge!" Seira exclaimed.

This was her first time visiting Anaris City—a city known by many nicknames.

Anaris City was connected to Falling Star Academy, much like the cities of Doria, Aria, and Solen were connected to the Tower of Silence.

However, Anaris City had its own unique characteristics. The city wasn’t listed on any map. Instead, it was hidden behind an extraordinarily powerful magical barrier.

Although it was isolated from the outside world, that didn’t mean it had no contact with other cities.

In fact, Anaris City maintained extensive trade with various cities.

However, access to the city was limited. Depending on the circumstances, the barrier would open only once every two days or as infrequently as once a week.

And since a major contest was about to begin, Anaris City would remain fully open for an entire month before closing once again afterward.

"Are we going to the academy now?" Rafine asked.

Seira didn’t answer. She glanced at Nolan, silently waiting for his response.

Nolan shook his head.

"Not yet. It’s already nighttime. Visiting at this hour isn’t a good idea."

He glanced at an inn in the distance.

"Let’s find a place to stay first. Tomorrow morning, before sunrise, we’ll head to the academy."

Neither of them objected to his suggestion. Soon after, the four of them set off in search of an inn.

...

"Hmmm..."

A woman sat in a chair, quietly humming to herself. The melody gradually grew softer before fading away completely.

She slowly opened her eyes, revealing a pair of beautiful pink pupils.

"You’re here... Finally... You’re here, Brother..." she whispered, slowly licking her upper lip.
