The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne

Chapter 816: Henry Zahart

Chapter 816: Henry Zahart

"Wow! There’s so much food!"

Eira’s mouth watered at the sight of the feast spread out before her.

Although she had already tasted all kinds of food while living with Nolan, the spread before her still made her want to try everything.

Rafine chuckled softly. Patting her head, she asked, "Would you like to go eat with me?"

"Huh? Is that okay?" Eira looked at her with sparkling eyes.

"Of course." Rafine nodded. She turned to Seira and said, "I’ll be going now, Your Highness. You’ll be okay on your own, right?"

Seira waved her hand.

"It’s fine. Have fun."

Rafine nodded, then took Eira around to sample the many dishes on offer.

After the two of them left, Seira picked up a glass of wine and took a sip. She looked around the room, which was gradually filling with guests.

"It turns out quite a few royal families have come," she murmured.

Although most of them were from small kingdoms and couldn’t compare to the Great Velmora Empire, their presence still showed the influence of the Tower of Silence and the Falling Star Academy.

"Oh, I didn’t expect to run into you here, Your Highness. What a stroke of luck."

A soft yet enthusiastic male voice came from behind her.

Seira turned and saw a handsome man walking toward her. He was tall, with cream-colored hair that fell past his ears and a pair of gray eyes.

A cloth hat rested at a slight angle on his head.

"You..." Seira looked him up and down, trying to remember who he was, but she couldn’t.

The man wasn’t bothered by her reaction. Placing a hand over his stomach, he bowed slightly.

"It’s a pleasure to meet you, Your Highness Seira. My name is Henry Zahart, of the Zahart royal family."

"The Zahart family? Could it be the Kingdom of Norvin?"

"That’s right!" Henry nodded with a gentle smile. "I’m glad to see you recognize my small kingdom, Your Highness."

Seira returned the smile politely. The Kingdom of Norvin was a fairly large kingdom on the Western Continent. Compared to the Great Velmora Empire, it was clearly far inferior.

Even so, the Kingdom of Norvin could not be underestimated. Its military strength was held in high regard by both the dragon race and the neighboring kingdoms of the Western Continent.

The two soon fell into a casual conversation. The longer they talked, the more interested Seira became in Henry.

Of course, her interest wasn’t romantic or born from attraction. Rather, it stemmed from his unique way of thinking.

"So, do you think technology in this world is rather backward?" Seira asked.

"That’s right!" Henry nodded, folding his arms across his chest. "I once read a book about the progress of civilization. It described a world with highly advanced technology. Instead of riding exhausting horse-drawn carriages, people could travel in vehicles called cars and motorcycles. They could cover thousands of kilometers in a single day. Isn’t that amazing?"

He let out a sigh.

Seira’s eyebrows lifted slightly. The words "car" and "motorcycle" stirred something deep inside her. It felt as though she had heard of those things before, but she couldn’t remember when or where.

"Then there are airplanes. They’re like giant birds that can carry dozens of people at once. And..."

The longer Henry spoke, the dizzier Seira felt. It was as if a mysterious and unfamiliar memory was struggling to surface.

"Your Highness Seira? Your Highness Seira? Are you all right?"

Henry’s worried voice snapped her out of her daze.

"Ah, I’m sorry." Seira blinked and shook her head. "Where were we?"

Henry looked at her pale face before shaking his head.

"You look tired. Is something bothering you?"

Seira smiled awkwardly and rubbed her temples. "Sorry, I’m just feeling a little tired. Could you leave me alone for a moment?"

Henry still looked concerned, but he nodded anyway. After exchanging a few more words, he turned and walked away.

What Seira didn’t realize was that a meaningful smile had appeared on Henry’s face. It was the smile of someone who had just received an extraordinary gift.

"Sis, why are you just standing there? Don’t you like the party?"

A curious voice came from behind her.

Seira turned around and saw Sharon approaching with Nolan and a stranger she didn’t recognize.

"You’ve got the wrong idea. I was just thinking about something," Seira replied casually. "By the way..."

She looked Nolan up and down in admiration.

"Is that a robe from the Eastern Continent? I didn’t expect it to suit you so well, Nolan," she said, a hint of obsession creeping into her voice.

Nolan was already handsome, but the Eastern-style robe made him look even more striking.

"Thanks for the compliment, Sister. This robe is really comfortable. I have Ayakami to thank for lending it to me," Nolan said softly.

"Ayakami?" Seira was surprised. She glanced at the beautiful woman standing beside Nolan. The woman had black hair with a faint brown tint, tied back in a ponytail.

"Nice to meet you, Sister-in-law!" Ayakami bowed politely. "My name is Ayakami. I’m Sharon’s friend and also Prince Nolan’s fiancée."

She straightened up, then quickly hid her blushing face.

Sharon: "..."

Nolan: "..."

Seira: "..."

The corner of Seira’s mouth twitched. Clenching her fists, she asked in a heavy voice, "What does this mean, Sharon?"

Seeing her sister’s flushed face, Sharon let out a helpless sigh.

"Don’t listen to her nonsense. Ayakami has liked Nolan for a long time, but marriage is a completely different matter. Just ignore her."

"Huh? Sharon, you’re so mean!" Ayakami protested, clearly dissatisfied. "Didn’t you say you’d support my relationship with Nolan? Why are you denying it now?"

Sharon rolled her eyes. "When did I ever say that? You must’ve heard wrong."

"You clearly said it back then!" Ayakami puffed out her cheeks.

"All right," Nolan interrupted. "Stop arguing. You’re drawing unnecessary attention."

Sharon and Ayakami snapped out of it and realized that everyone was staring at them.

Sharon cleared her throat and quickly changed the subject.

"Anyway, Ayakami and I are going to see my Master. Nolan, Sister Seira, you two enjoy the party."

Without waiting for a response, she grabbed Ayakami and dragged her away.

"Wait! I want to stay with Nolan! No!"

Unfortunately, Sharon ignored her protests and continued dragging her away.

Watching the two of them leave, Nolan simply smiled and shook his head.

"Why are you smiling like that? Are you happy that she likes you?"

Seira’s jealous voice came from beside him.

Nolan glanced at her and saw that his older sister, who was usually so confident, now looked both annoyed and adorable.

"You’re overthinking it. I was just surprised by how enthusiastic Ayakami is. For some reason, she reminded me of a friend."

"Your friend?" Seira raised an eyebrow suspiciously.

Nolan merely smiled, with no intention of explaining further.

"By the way..." Nolan changed the subject. "Who were you talking to just now?"

Seira’s expression shifted slightly as Henry’s face flashed through her mind.

"That was Henry, the First Prince of the Kingdom of Norvin."
