Chapter 836: Valuable Information
Chapter 836: Valuable Information
"Yo, Your Highness. You’re still as handsome as ever," Jorgan greeted with a small chuckle.
Nolan rolled his eyes. "You still look healthy too. I thought you were dead."
Jorgan came to a halt, the corner of his mouth twitching at those harsh words.
"Tsk." He clicked his tongue and shook his head. "Your tongue is really sharp. That hurts, you know?"
Nolan was too lazy to argue with him.
"Get me a cocktail with apple juice," he ordered.
"As you command."
Jorgan prepared the cocktail with smooth, practiced movements.
The bar where they sat was inside the Phantom Chain headquarters, so there was no one else around besides the two of them.
"Here you go."
Jorgan handed him a cocktail mixed with apple juice.
Nolan took it and sipped it. The combination of alcohol and apple juice created a unique yet refreshing flavor.
After taking a few more sips, he set the glass on the table and looked at Jorgan indifferently.
"Is the investigation over?"
Jorgan smiled. "It is. I was actually just about to tell you, but you showed up first."
"Oh?" Nolan raised an eyebrow slightly. "Tell me. Where did you find it?"
"Take a look. Everything is in this document."
Jorgan handed him a thin document.
Nolan took it and opened it.
He read through it carefully.
"A girl with healing powers? On the Western Continent?"
"That’s right."
Jorgan sat across from him, sipping a glass of beer he had just poured.
"That girl matches the characteristics you described. Turn to the next page, and you’ll find something even more interesting," he said meaningfully.
Nolan turned the page and read the contents. Instantly, his eyes widened in surprise.
"Powers that come from dreams?"
"That’s right! Pretty unique, isn’t it? I was surprised when I found out too. It’s very rare for someone to awaken powers through dreams, let alone a young girl living in such a remote area," Jorgan said with a chuckle.
Nolan fell silent, his expression calm and indifferent. He had already expected the information Jorgan gathered to be similar to what Malverna had told him.
But the document in front of him was far more detailed, giving him a clearer picture of the girl.
"Healing powers and... dreams. Both are traits that point to her being the incarnation of the Goddess of Life," he muttered. "But... why do I still feel so uncertain?"
He read the document again, searching for the source of his doubt. But he couldn’t find it.
"Alright, thanks for the information. But I want you to keep searching," Nolan said, finishing his cocktail.
"So you’re not convinced she’s the one you’re looking for?"
Nolan nodded. "Exactly. It’s a possibility, and I don’t want to let my guard down. Can you do that?"
Jorgan smiled wryly. He finished the rest of his beer in one gulp before replying, "Since His Majesty the Emperor has already given you the Phantom Chain command token, I don’t really have a choice."
Nolan gave a faint smile. "Glad to hear it."

Nighttime...
"Whoa!"
Eira’s eyes sparkled, looking at the food in front of her.
There was fried chicken, grilled ribs, stir-fried ground meat, and all sorts of other things on the table.
"Princess Seira, you really made all this yourself?" Rafine asked in disbelief.
"That’s right!" Seira replied proudly, taking off her apron and hanging it on the empty chair beside her. "What do you think?"
"That’s amazing!" Rafine clapped her hands. "I’m sure Nolan will be very surprised."
Her praise wasn’t just empty flattery. The dishes gave off a mouthwatering aroma. However, she didn’t recognize any of them. She had never seen, let alone tasted, food like these dishes before.
"Nolan will be back soon. Let’s wait for him."
Rafine nodded in agreement, but Eira didn’t. The little girl quietly reached for a piece of fried chicken and took a bite.
"Mhmmm! Delicious!" she exclaimed happily.
Rafine and Seira exchanged glances before letting out a soft laugh.
"I’m back."
The door opened, and Nolan walked into the dining room.
The moment he saw the table full of food, his eyes widened.
"Did you cook all of this?" he asked in surprise.
"That’s right." Seira nodded casually. "Have a seat. Let’s eat."
Nolan sat down beside Rafine. However, his brows suddenly furrowed.
"What are these dishes called?"
The food looked completely unfamiliar—at least to the people of this world.
But not to Nolan. He recognized every single dish.
They were all from his former world.
"Huh? Their names? I don’t know." Seira scratched her cheek. "I found a cookbook in the library and studied it. Do you think they don’t taste good?"
Nolan was silent for a few seconds before shaking his head.
"No. I just think these dishes are quite unique. For a moment, I even thought you’d come up with the recipes yourself," he replied calmly.
Seira let out a sigh of relief. She couldn’t tell him that all those recipes had come from the mysterious memories that had been appearing in her mind lately.
"Let’s eat."
Nolan and Rafine nodded and began to eat.
"Mmm! This is so delicious!" Rafine’s eyes sparkled. "Especially these grilled ribs! How did you cook them, Your Highness?"
With a smile on her face, Seira explained the process.
Nolan simply listened while he ate, but his mind was in turmoil.
Earlier, he’d thought it was just a coincidence. But now, he was even more certain. The dishes on his plate and the food on the table had indeed come from his former world.
So, how could Seira have made them?
From a book?
But that was impossible. As someone skilled in cooking, Nolan knew it wasn’t something that could be mastered through a book alone—especially not to the point of making food this delicious.
Nolan considered one possibility after another but still couldn’t find an answer.
In the end, he pushed his doubts aside and finished his meal.
...
The Western Continent was a vast land of towering mountains, winding rivers, dense forests, and countless lakes.
It was home to two races—the dragons and the humans.
However, a thousand years ago, humans only occupied a small part of the continent. Most of the land was divided between the demon race and the dragon race, who were constantly fighting each other.
It wasn’t until the fall of the Demon Emperor Zerathos that the dragon race could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Even then, they realized that trying to rule the entire Western Continent on their own would be suicide.
Humanity was growing stronger at an incredible rate, and making an enemy of them would only bring trouble to the dragon race.
Therefore, the dragon race ceded half of the Western Continent to humanity while retaining control of the other half.

"Hehe! Thank you, Big Sister! I can walk again!" the little girl said with a bright smile.
The young woman smiled back. She gently ran her fingers through the girl’s hair and said, "You’re welcome. Now you can live like everyone else."
The girl nodded, tears of joy running down her cheeks.
After she left, another person stepped forward in much worse condition.
"My leg... My leg’s been poisoned! Please save me, Holy One!" the man begged in a hoarse, desperate voice.
The young woman nodded. Just as she was about to heal him, a calm voice came from behind her.
"May I have a moment of your time?"
