The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne

Chapter 847: Meeting Yllia Again

Chapter 847: Meeting Yllia Again

"Don’t you think you’re being a little harsh?" Nolan asked, rolling his eyes.

"Humph! It’s your own fault. Just looking at your face is enough to make me angry," Seria retorted with a cold snort.

Luna smiled awkwardly as she watched them argue.

She didn’t know why her grandmother disliked the Singularity of Chaos so much, but one thing was clear. There had to be some history between them.

"Come on, Grandma. Don’t be so rude," Luna said, trying to lighten the mood. "The Singularity of Chaos helped me get home, and he’s here because he has something important to discuss. Besides, he’s our guest. At least let’s welcome him properly."

Seria’s expression softened a little. The irritation on her face slowly faded, replaced by a trace of embarrassment.

Even so, she hid it well and replied calmly, "I understand. I’m sorry."

"Pfft!" Nolan chuckled but quickly covered his mouth when he felt Seria’s icy glare.

Seria let out an annoyed huff and turned away.

"Let’s go."

Nighttime...

In the dining hall of the elven palace, the elf queen had personally prepared a variety of dishes to welcome Nolan.

"Welcome, Singularity of Chaos. I hope you enjoy the meal," she said politely.

Nolan, who was seated across from her, smiled and replied, "Thank you for the warm welcome, Your Majesty."

The Elf Queen smiled back. Meanwhile, Luna helped set the freshly made dishes on the table.

In truth, they could have left everything to the servants. The queen didn’t have to cook herself, either.

But to show her respect and gratitude to the Singularity of Chaos, she decided to cook the meal herself. Luna understood her mother’s intentions and gladly helped.

Once all the dishes were served, Nolan, Luna, the Elf Queen, and Seria began eating. Since they had shared meals together before, there was no awkwardness between them.

Nolan casually picked up a roasted wild chicken drumstick and took a bite.

"How does it taste, Singularity of Chaos? Is it to your liking?" the queen asked expectantly.

Nolan smiled and gave a slight nod.

"Delicious... I like it."

"Thank goodness..." The Elf Queen let out a sigh of relief and smiled warmly.

Receiving praise from someone as respected as the Singularity of Chaos filled her with pride.

"Eat this, Singularity of Chaos," Luna said as she placed a few slices of smoked wild boar onto his plate.

"Oh! And this too!"

She picked up a few more dishes and added them to Nolan’s plate.

Seeing the mountain of food in front of him, the corner of Nolan’s mouth twitched. He had a big appetite, but this was simply too much.

Still, he didn’t refuse.

"Thank you."

"Hehehe..." Luna swayed happily in her seat.

Seeing how delighted Luna was, Seria couldn’t help feeling a little jealous. She realized Luna had never served her food like that before.

Yet that damn masked man was the first to receive such treatment, which annoyed her to no end.

Even so, she kept those thoughts to herself and continued eating.

The atmosphere during the meal was warm and relaxed. Nolan and the Elf Queen chatted every now and then, and Luna joined in, laughing at Nolan’s jokes from time to time.

She never expected someone as serious as the Singularity of Chaos to have such a good sense of humor. The more she talked with him, the more curious she became.

Seria quietly watched the three of them. Her face remained calm, but deep down, she was happy.

It had been a long time since the palace had felt this warm.

Luna and the Singularity of Chaos’s arrival had made it possible, and she was truly grateful to both of them—especially the Singularity of Chaos.

"By the way, Singularity of Chaos, what brings you to the Elven Forest?" the Elf Queen asked curiously.

Seria and Luna were curious as well. If he had only come to escort Luna home, there was no way he would have gone all the way into the Elven Forest. There had to be another reason.

Nolan took a napkin and wiped his lips before replying calmly, "I have business with Seria."

His purple eyes shifted to Seria, who was sitting across the table.

"Huh? Me?" Seria asked in surprise, pointing at herself.

Nolan nodded.

"But not right now. Don’t worry. I also have something important to discuss with Yllia."

"I see..." The elf queen nodded in understanding. "All right. Enjoy your stay here. I’ve already asked the servants to prepare a room for you."

Nolan smiled at her.

"Thank you."

After dinner, Nolan headed to the room that had been prepared for him.

When he realized it was the same room he had stayed in before, a smile unconsciously spread across his face.

He walked over to the bed and lay down.

"Phew... I’m exhausted," he muttered, burying his face in the pillow.

The room smelled faintly of wood and fresh greenery. Before he knew it, his eyelids grew heavy.

But the next moment, he snapped out of it and quickly sat up.

"No, I can’t fall asleep. I have to finish what I came here to do."

He looked out the window at the World Tree before vanishing on the spot.

Nolan appeared at the edge of the lake where he and Yllia had once shared a casual conversation.

He walked over to the lake and sat down with one knee raised.

His eyes drifted across the lake. The water glowed with a faint blue light, while fireflies floated above it, making the whole place feel calm and peaceful.

Nolan waited quietly. He was sure Yllia would come.

A cool breeze brushed past him, followed by the sound of footsteps behind him.

"You’re back, Singularity of Chaos. Have you found your answer yet?"

Nolan turned and saw Yllia smiling at him. Her beautiful, captivating face made even someone as indifferent to beauty as Nolan feel a slight flutter in his heart.

Pushing that feeling aside, he smiled and replied casually, "What do you mean, Yllia? The answer to what?"

Yllia let out a soft chuckle and sat down beside him.

She stretched out her legs before gently patting her thigh.

Nolan immediately understood what she meant. He had rested on Yllia’s lap before.

Without hesitation, he lay down and rested his head on her soft thigh.

From that angle, part of Yllia’s face was hidden behind her chest.

Gently stroking Nolan’s cheek, Yllia said casually, "Are you pretending? Or do you just not want to admit it?"

Nolan closed his eyes as if he hadn’t heard her.

Yllia didn’t press the matter. The two of them sat in silence for several minutes.

Finally, Nolan opened his eyes and met Yllia’s calm gaze.

"Did you know from the very beginning?"

Yllia smiled gently.

"No. I only found out a few months ago. So don’t blame me, okay?"

Nolan rolled his eyes, unconvinced by her answer. Even so, he wasn’t angry.

"I see. So that girl named Melina was just a decoy she used... No..." His eyes narrowed slightly. "You’re the one who set it up, aren’t you?"
