The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne

Chapter 849: A Date with Seria

Chapter 849: A Date with Seria

The elven forest was deep within the eastern continent. The nearest city, Eldar, was tens of thousands—maybe even hundreds of thousands—of kilometers away. There was no way anyone could end up near the forest by accident.

Buzz!

A portal appeared in one of the secluded alleys of Eldar City. Moments later, two figures—a man and a woman—stepped out of it.

"Eldar City... We’re here."

Nolan smiled in satisfaction as he let go of Seria’s waist.

The elf quickly stepped away from him and shot him a sharp glare.

"Singularity of Chaos... I never thought you’d do something so despicable!" she growled.

Not only had Nolan taken advantage of her weakened state, but he’d also forced her to go along with his demands against her will.

How could she not be furious?

Nolan didn’t seem bothered by her glare. With a carefree grin, he said, "Oh, come on. Don’t lie to yourself. I was only teasing you a little, and you still came with me willingly, didn’t you? Just be honest with yourself."

The title of "Singularity of Life" wasn’t just for show.

How could someone as powerful as she was become so helpless from nothing more than a little stimulation to her left ear?

From the very beginning, Nolan knew Seria had always wanted to go on a date with him.

Otherwise, with her immense power, there was no way she would have let him wrap his arms around her waist or hold her hand.

Seria’s fierce expression froze before slowly giving way to embarrassment. It felt as though Nolan had seen right through her.

But she quickly composed herself and let out a cold snort.

"You’re overthinking it. Don’t get so full of yourself."

Nolan rolled his eyes.

"Typical tsundere," he thought.

"All right, let’s get this date started."

With a wave of his hand, his appearance changed into that of a handsome young man.

His black hair turned snow-white, while his eyes became a deep pomegranate red. His sharp jawline only made his features even more striking.

Seria looked at him in surprise.

"Is this your true form?"

Nolan chuckled.

"Take a guess."

Seria huffed in annoyance and ignored him. Her appearance changed as well, her pointed ears shrinking until they looked human.

Her hair turned brown, her eyes shifted to blue, and her outfit changed into a light blue casual dress.

"Let’s go," she said indifferently.

Nolan simply smiled, took her hand, and led her out of the alley.

Eldar was a city under the jurisdiction of the Blue Cloud Kingdom, a small kingdom that bordered the Izanagi Eastern Empire.

Although it was much smaller than Solvaria or Hinode, the city was still bustling with activity. Many intercontinental merchants made Eldar their final stop before returning home.

As a result, trade flourished, and the streets were crowded with people coming and going.

"Fresh fruit from the Izanagi Eastern Empire! Only a few bronze coins! Come take a look!"

"First time special offer! Freshly prepared wild boar meat! Don’t miss out!"

"Come on down! Check out my products!"

The merchants loudly called out to passersby, trying to draw in customers.

Seria looked around curiously.

"Do people really do this to attract customers?"

Nolan nodded.

"Most of them do. They’re usually merchants from other regions who won’t be staying here for long. They need to sell as much of their stock as they can before heading back home."

"I see..." Seria nodded in understanding.

Everything around her felt new. She rarely left the Elven Forest, let alone interacted with humans.

It wasn’t because she looked down on them. She simply believed that elves and humans were two different races that couldn’t truly live as one. It was better for each side to keep its own boundaries.

What’s more, ever since humans rose to power and became the rulers of the continent, they had been constantly at war with one another.

Seria didn’t want the elven race to get dragged into those conflicts.

That was why she never allowed any elves to leave the Elven Forest—except for Luna, which turned out to be the biggest mistake she had ever made.

"Good morning, beautiful. Come take a look! I’ve got all kinds of cute dolls you’ll love!"

A merchant called out with a friendly smile.

Seria stopped and glanced at the dolls on display.

There were plushies of all kinds—heroes, monsters, dragons, and even... elves.

Every single one was unbelievably cute, making her heart skip a beat.

"I..."

She really wanted to buy a few of them, especially the elf plush. But with Nolan standing right beside her, she was too embarrassed to say anything.

Seeing her reaction, Nolan smiled faintly.

"How much for one plushie, Boss?" he asked.

The merchant rubbed his hands together and replied casually, "Not expensive at all. Just ten bronze coins each."

"Ten bronze coins?" Nolan frowned. "That’s way too expensive! I’ll give you five bronze coins each."

The corner of the merchant’s mouth twitched. Nolan’s offer was half of his asking price.

He was about to refuse, but Nolan spoke before he had the chance.

"All right, eighteen bronze coins for three plush toys. Deal?"

Nolan knew plush toys like these normally sold for no more than three bronze coins each. Charging ten bronze coins was an obvious rip-off.

The merchant gritted his teeth, looking as though he were struggling to make a difficult decision.

In the end, he gave in and let out a long sigh.

"Fine, take them. As long as you’re happy."

Nolan rolled his eyes at the merchant’s performance. Too lazy to argue, he simply turned to Seria.

"Go ahead. Pick the three plush toys you want."

Seria looked away with a huff.

"Who said I wanted those plush toys?"

Nolan said nothing. He simply kept looking at her.

Unable to ignore his gaze any longer, Seria finally gave in and reluctantly picked three plush toys—an elf, a human hero, and a black dragon.

After paying for the plushies, Nolan and Seria continued walking through the city.

The entire time, Seria held the three plush toys tightly in her arms, treating them like priceless treasures.

"She’s really bad at hiding her feelings."

Nolan smiled and shook his head. Luckily, he knew Seria well enough not to be fooled by her usual tsundere attitude.

They spent the rest of their date wandering around the city and going into different shops.

Before they knew it, two hours had passed. When lunchtime came, Nolan took Seria to the biggest restaurant nearby.

A waiter led them to a table for two.

After giving them the menus, Nolan ordered Seria’s favorite dishes without even thinking.

Once the waiter left, Seria looked at him with a puzzled expression.

"How did you know those were my favorite dishes?"

Nolan just smiled and rested his chin on his hand.

"Maybe it’s because I love you."

Seria: "..."
