Chapter 1381: Meeting Lady Ryuu
Chapter 1381: Meeting Lady Ryuu
[Planet Baski]
Klaus sat in a lotus posture, a smile playing on his face.
His ladies were updating him in real time on what they were experiencing on Planet Caelmir. This made him feel as if he were there with them.
Of course, he will go there, but he first wants them to settle in. He also has to meet the Supreme, who invited him to join the Warrior Temple.
Once that is done, he will be free to do anything he wants.
For now, there is still a lot to handle...
"Tell Grandma I will come as soon as I am done here." After transmitting his message to Queenie, he retrieved the Dark Space Connector and activated it.
The next second, he was inside the Dark Space, appearing in front of the mansion where he first appeared when he joined the Dark Space.
As expected, the nine Star Guards were already there, waiting for him.
Klaus is already aware that they will always be there, since from the True Immortal stage onwards, one can send part of their consciousness into the Dark Space while the other remains in the real world.
"Lord Paragon," they surrounded him like a bunch of kids. Klaus glared at them for a few seconds and smirked... "Don’t you have something important to do? For heaven’s sake, you losers are Celestials."
They smiled. "We are working in more than 10 places at the same time, Master. We are Celestials, remember."
Klaus chuckled and retrieved a key.
He would have to teleport to the meeting location. So when Lord Flux reached out to him after the Supreme accepted to meet with him, he gave him a Dark Key that would enable him to teleport and arrive at his destination in an instant.
He will meet with Lord Flux, then they will head to the meeting site together.
"I have a meeting, so see you guys later."
They nodded.
Klaus also nodded and then activated the Dark Key. In an instant, his body dispersed into sparks of green light. The next time he appeared, he was standing on a landing pad where a sleek spaceship was waiting for him.
"Glad you could make it, Renegade Hunter," Lord Flux’s voice entered his head from behind. Klaus turned and met his gaze, letting a smile appear on his face.
"You can just call me Klaus, and I am happy to be here too."
"Are you ready to leave now? The flight will take just a couple of minutes." Lord Flux asked, and Klaus nodded. Soon, they took off and started heading toward the meeting area.
"So what should I expect when I meet this Supreme?" Klaus asked, a little nervous. In the past, he met many Supremes; however, half the time, most wanted him dead.
So this is bringing back memories, leaving him a little nervous.
"Lady Ryuu is an understandable person. She became a warrior from day one, and for millions of years now, she has given her all to ensure the Warrior Tower maintains its integrity.
However, she is a Dragon, so be sure to show some respect. After all, it is a known fact that Dragons are prideful, and well, half the time I knew her, she seemed to take pride in what she does."
"I will be sure to remember that." Klaus had already done his research on all 12 Supreme Elders of the Warrior Tower, so he knew some stuff about Lady Ryuu.
From what he gathered, she is an overachiever. She spent her entire life on the battlefield, achieving one feat after another.
She had killed countless Demons and the Foreign Race. When she reached the True Immortal stage, she was unbeaten among her peers.
She participated in 300 Death Matches and won them all. Later, when she reached the Immortal Lord stage, she killed hundreds of thousands of Demons and members of the Foreign Race to the point her name shot up to the top 10 of the Demon Kill List.
As for the Foreign Race, they want her head on a pike every single day; they try continuously to kill her. Klaus was a bit stunned that she was always under attack, yet she chose to remain in the Foreign Battlefields.
In a way, Klaus respected her for showing initiative and commitment to her role as a warrior. This made him become a bit biased in her favour, so even if he hates some of the warriors at the Warrior Tower, from what he had read so far, she had won his favour and respect.
After flying for a few minutes, they came into view of a small green planet. The Dark Space is just like the real world, only that everything around them is not real.
But if one doesn’t know, they will mistake it for something real.
They entered the planet, which is filled with green plants and water. The entire planet’s surface is covered with water. The plants stood firm and tall in the water, making them appear both beautiful and a bit funny.
There are places where plants indeed grow from the water. However, Klaus had never seen one where all the plants are standing in the water.
So this was a nice experience. A few seconds after entering the planet’s surface, they spotted a mansion standing proudly in the distance.
They moved in its direction. Soon, they landed and moved away from the ship, heading to the house.
Already, Klaus had sensed another presence the moment they entered the planet. And now that they moved closer and closer, he could sense her even more.
Soon, a large wooden door opened automatically, and they entered. It closed the next second behind them. Klaus’s eyes landed on a lady seated inside a cushy chair, drinking tea. When their gazes met, it felt like this lady saw everything about him.
Klaus knew that if this was a moment when he could easily be seen as the Paragon, just this mere glance was all it could take. However, the words that came out of her mouth were anything but suspicious.
"Even inside a virtual world, I can tell you are not an easy opponent."
Klaus smiled and nodded. "I get that a lot."
Lady Ryuu also smiled. "Please sit down."
Klaus nodded and sat down. Lord Flux moved away and sat in the corner. He had accomplished his mission of bringing Klaus to his leader. The rest would depend on whether or not she could convince him to rejoin the Warrior Tower.
"Before we start our discussion, I would like to apologise for how we treated you when you came to Planet Fiapre. I will not make an excuse and say I never saw it coming.
In a way, I knew some people weren’t happy with you joining the Warrior Tower, yet I let you risk and waste your life. Sorry about that, and I hope when we are done with our discussion, all bygones will be bygones."
Klaus nodded. "No need to apologise, my lady. This isn’t my first rodeo with people in authority. Although I was a bit shaken, it is all in the past now."
He came here for a reason, so dwelling on the past is a waste of time. The best he can do is focus on the present and think about the future.
"Now that we have cleared the air, why don’t you tell me why you wanted to meet in person?" Lady Ryuu started without even introducing herself.
Klaus didn’t mind. In a way, she wanted to know where Klaus stands and what her next move would be. She had already reported to the upper echelon of the Warrior Tower, and as she expected, they too were divided.
However, she had some authority from the Supreme Elder Council and the Celestial Warrior Council. She could take Klaus in, and nobody would be able to kick him out.
However, before she does that, hearing what Klaus has to say seems like a logical move.
Klaus also liked this arrangement.
"When Lord Flux first came to me, he said, with the Warrior Tower, I will have the chance to battle beings that threaten the safety of this universe. That was a huge responsibility, but I took it on.
I liked the idea of fighting for a cause because I believe something is deeply wrong with our universe. However, before I could even join the family, I was sent packing.
That was a bit sad and, in a way, an eye-opener. It shows that some would rather stick to their beliefs than adapt when change arises.
It is sad but true in a way. I never expected to be sent packing, but now that we are here, I can only adapt and swallow my pride.
This was why, after deeper thinking and soul-searching, I decided to join the Warrior Tower, but as a freelancer. I will work with you and only you. So, in a way, I will become a sword you can rely on.
All my achievements will be attributed to your name. That is the best I can do, so kindly think about it and let me know if you accept my offer."
