Chapter 1473: Immortal Essence Water

Although Klaus appeared cool and awesome after killing the three-headed lion, he had to drain his reserve of Void Essence and two cores just to gain the upper hand.

Creating the clones was the easy part. He had long mastered that, and thanks to his unknown bloodline, he can go wild with his clones. So that wasn’t much of a struggle.

However, keeping the main body alive when the Lion was killing more of his clones was the hard part.

He wasn’t stupid.

Klaus knew the lion could easily locate his clones.

Once it managed that, the rest would be as simple as killing him with a single beam.

So he used the Void Law to augment his real body, and by using two cores, he created a much larger and more detailed illusion in which the main body and all his clones shared the same signatures.

Heat, energy, and even breath signatures were covered to the T.

That forced the Lion into a rather tight spot for a moment there. That time was all he needed to make his move.

However, adding more clones and augmenting them as they came, coupled with the fact that he had to keep moving, swapping with one clone after another just before an attack reached him, took more than he expected.

’Good thing I have an enormous mind. Had it not been for the Hivemind, my fragile mind would have crumbled under the pressure,’

Klaus let out a sigh, his peripheral vision catching the stunned expressions on the faces of his teammates.

He said nothing, only holding Rory’s hand as they advanced closer to the immortal pool.

The battles they had fought before this one drained quite a lot of his energy, so he wanted to get close to the Immortal Pool and, if possible, absorb some Immortal Essence water to replenish his stock before they left for the main mission.

Thankfully, after walking for a few minutes, they came to a stop atop the cliff. There in the distance, they saw a cave with a brilliant golden light emanating from within.

Icon scanned the surroundings and found no threat, so they advanced forward and, before long, they were before the cave.

Klaus stepped in first, and just as he did, a very potent energy slipped into his body, filling his soul with warmth.

Klaus blinked a few times, feeling his drained cores actively absorbing energy. His cultivation was already at the peak-level True Immortal stage, so Icon had sealed it there until this mission and the one after were handled.

But while he was restricted, the same could not be said for his other incarnation.

Kaden had paused his training and was seated in a lotus posture, absorbing the potent energy flowing into his body. His cultivation was at the peak of the True Immortal stage, so he was free to break through to the Immortal King stage.

The same was true for Orion (Paragon body). He had already left for the Beast Universe and was en route through the Dark Universe channel when this thing started. So he emerged from the space channel and began to absorb, while Maud protected him.

Luckily for him, even if he were to break through and the heavens’ wrath descend on him, nobody would sense him because he found himself in a remote place in the human Universe.

Rhazor had also emerged from the Space Channel and begun to absorb the energy. If he could move to the medium-level Immortal King or even high-level before Klaus ran out, that would be cool.

Klaus sighed and adjusted his eyes to the interior of the cave. It was then that he saw a relatively large pool filled with golden energy.

"Wow, that is a lot,"

By then, he had walked in far enough, allowing his teammates to also enter. When their eyes landed on the golden pool, they became stunned.

"Is that the Immortal Essence water?" Echo asked, her eyes sparkling.

"No, this is merely Immortal Energy. I have reason to believe that under the pool, something is producing this essence. Once it runs out, the water will turn back to blue, and it will be another million years before it becomes potent again."

"Oh, then where is the Immortal Essence water we came for?" Slate inquired, and in response, Klaus pointed ahead of them.

"It is over there. For now, you four should take advantage of this energy to recover your strength. I will go harvest the Immortal Essence water and join you shortly."

They nodded and walked toward the pool and stepped in. Then, moving in a bit deeper, they sat down and started absorbing the essence.

Klaus wasted no time and moved toward the direction he kept sensing a potent energy. After a few seconds of walking, his eyes landed on a small cave on the ground filled with a dark gold-colored energy.

’Immortal Essence water... and so much more than I expected,’

He moved much closer and knelt before the small pool of Immortal Essence water, beholding its contents.

’This is more than 300 million drops,’ his smile increased even more. He knew just how valuable Immortal Essence water is, so looking at this much untouched and oozing with energy, his greed ignited.

However, that was for the best, because he quickly produced a glass bottle, and with a gesture, the Immortal Essence water began to flow into it.

It took just a few minutes for almost every last drop of it to enter. He closed it and stored it away inside his soul sea, where it would be safely stored, more than if he were to put it inside his space ring.

He extended his hand, and ice formed. Then it manifested as several small bottles, which also transformed into glass and finally jade.

Klaus used the ice element to form the bottles, then used his earth element to transform them into glass, and finally jade.

With [High Affinity] for the elemental law, creating simple things like this isn’t too much of a stress. He waved his hand, and the small amount of Immortal Essence water was divided into forty droplets and flowed into the bottles.

He closed them and put them away inside his space ring. Afterward, he stood up and joined his teammates inside the pool to absorb the essence and recover.

A day later, Orion (Paragon body) broke through to the Immortal King stage. However, even after the five-minute wait and with no tribulation, Klaus smiled and realized that invoking the Law of Absolute still seemed to be holding back the heavens.

He then recalled Karma’s warning and knew he indeed would pay for his actions. The day the heavenly tribulation would descend, he would find himself in deep shit.

But for now, he would continue to absorb the essence and help Kaden break through as well.

Efad was still passed out in front of the Second Void Vortex, so he wasn’t part of this momentous event. He would be pissed when he woke up and learned something this good had happened in his absence.

A few hours after Orion’s breakthrough, Kaden also did, and Rhazor even advanced to the medium-level Immortal King stage.

Klaus had also recovered his strength, and the unknown energy forming inside his soul sea had also reached 47% awakening...
