Chapter 1476: God Of War Body
Chapter 1476: God Of War Body
Omen moved toward the bird at deadly speed, Echo using space magic to amplify his speed. Just when he was a few meters from the bird, it turned and glared at him.
Then its left wing flapped, and a large feather ending in a deadly metallic piercer shot at him. He was caught off guard, clearly not anticipating such an attack.
However, when he saw Rory slip past him, he forced his body to move, crossing his sword over his chest to take the damage, knowing full well it was going to hurt like hell.
It landed on his sword as intended, sending him flying back.
BOOOM
He crashed into the ground, creating a crater. However, his eyes remained locked on Rory, who managed to get under the bird and cut a large wound into its super sturdy body.
’Worth it’
The seven ropes attached to her armor also stabbed into the bird, forcing out a loud screech. It forced its body to move, but Klaus was upon it, his scythe meeting its beak again.
Slate used the moment to land a stabbing strike on its body. Before long, however, he was also sent crashing down, and Rory was also tossed aside.
She winced and looked at Omen, who had already risen from the ground, a line of blood spilling out from the corner of his lips.
Seeing that he was okay, she joined Klaus, both of them attacking with deadly skills.
30 minutes into the attack, Klaus was sent crashing down, his chest pierced by a feather.
"Ah, that hurt like hell." A smile formed on his face as he stood back up and vanished again, appearing before the bird.
10 minutes later, he was sent crashing down again, this time with two feathers sticking out of his chest.
"Oh, this bastard is a bit stronger than I expected."
5 minutes later, he was back on the ground, this time with three feathers embedded in his chest...
"Looks like this bird is not going to go down without a fight,"
His teammates wanted to tell him they already knew that. However, looking at the pale smile on his handsome face, they didn’t know how to feel.
Already, Slate and Omen had sustained quite a few life-threatening injuries, and even Rory and Echo seemed to have also sustained their fair share of injuries.
The bird was way stronger than they could even put into words. However, with Klaus still locked in battle with it, they had no choice but to follow him.
So far, only Klaus and Rory managed to leave a deadly injury on its body. However, Klaus still believed they could kill it.
Rising to his feet again, Slate looked at the giant bird and then at Klaus and sighed, "Can we really win this? I feel like we are waiting for our death the moment we run out of energy."
Klaus grinned and turned to him, "Of course, we can win. I just need ten more minutes to finish creating the killing formation, and the rest will be handled by me,"
"Really?" Rory asked, switching to her archer class.
"Of course. I may have said nothing before simply because I wanted you guys to have a taste of what it feels like to fight a demigod as a True Immortal, since we will be fighting more soon. However, I can now see that asking a True Immortal to kill a demigod is not logical. You guys are still lacking."
The scythe in his grip hummed, releasing waves of blood qi. "However, I believe from this small experience, you will be prepared well for the next one."
They couldn’t help but nod.
He moved and appeared before the bird again.
Rory opened a slight path for him by unleashing a deadly arrow. Klaus made good use of it and attacked, landing a powerful strike on the bird’s neck, hoping to sever its head clean.
However, his scythe was blocked, and he was pushed back. Slate and Omen joined him, while Echo cast one spell after another, making sure the next ten minutes would come to meet her and her teammates still alive.
On the ground, Princess Evren remained seated, her focus rooted on the battle happening in the air.
Four days ago, when she and her teammates used the Void Boat to escape into the Void, she thought they were safe from the bird.
Unfortunately, it took just ten minutes for the bird to locate them, and for the past few days, they had fought all kinds of battles, both in and out of the void.
It got to the point that they knew death was only a step away.
However, just when they were nearing that junction, Princess Evren sensed the mark she had placed on Klaus when she interacted with him a few moments before they entered the nest.
She knew that if she could get to him, maybe they would have a chance at living.
She and Rory had a past, and so she knew getting to them would be their best shot at life.
Now, as she watched them battle the same bird they had to run from every few minutes during their fights, she felt like Klaus and his teammates were much more dangerous than she had anticipated.
’But are they powerful enough to kill it?’ She formed a couple of hand seals, hastening her recovery so she could join them. With her mind attacks, maybe she could open a few paths for them to exploit.
Unfortunately, she found herself in a situation where joining them would put both herself and them in severe danger.
So she could only watch the battle with the demigod-level beast for several minutes with no victory in sight.
Klaus and his teammates kept going, sustaining more injuries, but somehow managed to keep the bird from killing any of them. Soon, however, they neared the ten minutes Klaus had set.
Just when the countdown struck zero, Klaus moved back, activating a technique.
At once, a 24-meter-tall copy of himself with three sets of hands appeared behind him. In that very instant, one of his hands moved and grabbed the bird by the neck, pulling it to the ground.
Just when it crashed to the ground.
The manifestation then shrank and merged with his main body. This caused Klaus to release a powerful aura before jumping high into the air.
When he descended, his body enlarged, transforming him into a 10-meter-tall giant. Behind him, three sets of arms appeared, adding to his own hands.
He went from two hands to eight in less than ten seconds. Two of his hands moved, one grabbing his scythe and another taking out a sword.
The weapons also grew much larger.
With a mental command, the two hands moved away from his body and shot toward the bird that had risen to its legs and was about to take to the sky.
Just before it could, Klaus made another deadly move, determined to keep the battle grounded.
"Heavens Engine,"
The gravity skill he had learned while cultivating on the gravity planet was unleashed, causing intense pressure to crash down on it, forcing it to stay on the ground.
That moment of being grounded gave Klaus the chance to attack, a scythe coming from the right and a sword swinging from the left.
The bird saw the attacks coming and folded its wings to defend against them, or at least tried to. Klaus knew the moment its wings folded around its body, both attacks would be rendered useless.
So just when its wings moved, he activated another Law Skill...
