Chapter 1609: Catalyst Of The End
Chapter 1609: Catalyst Of The End
“That should be impossible,” the Celestial Supreme muttered, his expression dark. “The universe soul had already perished during the beginning of the 4th reincarnation cycle, so it is impossible for the Paragon to be pardoned by the Heavenly Dao.”
His words carried a tone that suggested he knew more than most, but despite it all, none of what he had just heard was possible.
The universe is vast and all-encompassing, and he has some measure of control over it. This was possible because he had been bestowed certain authorities over the universe by the Heavenly Dao. It was how he had been able to remain in his position for countless eras.
It was also the reason why he wasn’t afraid of the Paragon.
He knew that when it came down to it, he would be able to harness that authority and use it against the Paragon. Even if he can’t kill him, he could make him despair like he did several times during his incarnations.
But now, from what the man in the void had said, the Paragon had vanished from the net the Heavenly Dao had cast around him.
He was now free, and that just doesn’t sound like a good idea to the heavens court, especially for him.
“I don’t know what to say, Elorm, but we must fast-track everything. My descent to the Primus Universe must happen sooner than we initially estimated.
Whatever the Paragon has done, I must come in person to handle it.”
“What do you want me to do, my lord?” Elorm asked, looking as obedient as a cat. He was the ruler of the universe, but a mere bitch in front of someone truly powerful. All this was because of his ambition to become strong enough to travel the Primordial Chaos and visit other universes.
“Bring all the host candidates you had prepared for me, including the 11th and the 12th. I want all of them. I have to descend within a year instead of the five years I had previously planned.
While they can contain only 30% of my power, once I descend, I will first look for more hosts to contain the remaining portions of my power.”
“I will arrange it, my lord,” Elorm said with a bow before running off to handle the mission he had been given. Klaus, who planned to go on a mission tomorrow, would soon receive the call he had been waiting for.
Meanwhile, deep inside the void, the man who had spoken to the Celestial Supreme sighed, his expression dark as he sat upon his bone-and-skull throne.
His eyes were red, and the dark horns on his forehead radiated overwhelming blood energy, making his demonic appearance even more dangerous.
He is Axarax, the parasite, a general under the command of Lord Calamity, one of the 8 Doomsday Lords.
“Paragon, what are you up to? Do you intend to continue thwarting the plans of the 8 Doomsday Lords?” He gave a dark, twisted smile.
“To what end, huh?” he questioned before looking deep into the Primus Universe. “This time, I will stop you. Once I descend, the Void Gate will open, and your small universe will be brought to its knees. I will kill all your loved ones and show you what true despair feels like.”

Standing at the docking bay of the academy with Eiko and Supreme Engineer Winnie, Klaus felt a chill run down his spine. This feeling made him smile inwardly.
‘I’d better be careful the next couple of days,’ he said to himself, and then turned to Supreme Engineer Winnie. “I have already handled the missions you gave me. But while I am gone, if something comes up, let me know.”
She nodded.
While she may be the headmistress of the Engineering College of the Academy, Klaus’s talent for engineering had impressed her, and so they had been spending more time lately, working on creating powerful things using arrays and formations.
Now that Klaus was leaving for his mission in the Elven Galaxy, she knew it would be a while before they met again.
“Just don’t miss me too much.”
Supreme Engineer Winnie smiled and turned her head away to hide her blush. Many at her level would have tried to use their authority to suppress Klaus. However, she was pushing him to do more than she was capable of at the moment.
Klaus was grateful for that, so he planned to help her grow beyond her current limits.
Turning to Eiko, he smiled and brushed her hair to the side. “Take your studies seriously. When I return, I will test you, and if you fail to score 70% and above, I will punish you.”
Eiko nodded with a determined smile. “I will study hard, Master.”
She had already taken Klaus as her master, so calling him that was only right. Hearing her determined answer, Klaus nodded. “Headmistress, kindly keep an eye on her for me.”
Supreme Engineer Winnie nodded. “I will do my best to keep her safe and busy while you are gone.”
Klaus nodded and soon walked into his spaceship. “See you, ladies, soon.”
After a few seconds of waving, his spaceship flew into the air and vanished into the clouds. It would take him roughly five days to get to the Elven Galaxy.
They had already been informed that he would be coming to handle the threat that the Heavens Court and others chose not to, claiming it didn’t fall under their jurisdiction.
An entire planetary system had been taken hostage by the demons.
Although the mission was in the Elven Galaxy, the Sylvaris Planetary System was an unregistered planetary system, so technically, it didn’t fall under the jurisdiction of the Heavens Court or other organisations.
Of course, the reason for this had to do with a mineral they had discovered on one of the planets in the Sylvaris Planetary System. If they registered the Sylvaris Planetary System, they would be obligated to report all minerals discovered on any of the planets within it.
However, instead of revealing that, they only said that they were creating confidential weapons there. If they had revealed the true nature of their secrecy, perhaps they would have already gotten aid from the Heavens Court.
But the elves didn’t do that, and so after the demons captured it, the Heavens Court also turned a blind eye. However, with the entire Sylvaris Planetary System under strict law regulations, only someone like Klaus could save them.
Right now, only a True Immortal could enter undetected, and he or she would have to go against demigods and powerful Immortals.
By killing the leader of the demons, Ebon Sovereign, the law suppression he had placed on the 12 planets would be lifted, allowing the elven army to attack.
Honestly, the demon general sounded like a good asset.
After all, he had managed to render even Supremes and Celestials weak against his Space Law innate ability that allowed him to make a space his domain, causing even Celestials to be unable to do anything against him.
He could make it so that only True Immortals could get close to him. Celestials would be pushed back and even suppressed as long as the right conditions were met.
The right conditions were met in the Sylvaris Planetary System, so he was able to shut even the Elven Empress out, and now Klaus was going there to handle it.
One of the reasons why he remained a True Immortal was because of this mission. If he had become an Immortal King, the moment he entered the domain created by the Ebon Sovereign, he would have been found out and suppressed.
So he left the academy to handle that, then, if possible, he would become an Immortal King before returning.
Unfortunately for him, three days after he left, word reached him that he had been summoned by the Celestial Supreme.
