The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 1739: Decision

Chapter 1739: Decision

Queen Harxix didn’t ask the question simply because she wished to have her Dao manifested. She had already awakened her Dao, one of the most mysterious and dangerous Elemental Daos that could ever be awakened.

If she were to manifest it, then becoming a Primordial would only be around the corner.

After all, it is through the Dao that one can become a Primordial.

Unlike the Awakened Stage to the Celestial Stage, where battles and kills contribute to one’s levelling up, the Primordial Stage can only be reached through one’s understanding of the Dao.

So she asked, hoping to know if, by taking Kaden’s blood, she would lose her free will or not.

Safe to say, his answer was rather vague, but enough to pique her interest.

“We will become one with the Paragon… care to shed more light on that?” she asked again, allowing Kaden to smile, knowing that if he played his cards right, he might just get a few powerful warriors he could later add to the Beast Legion.

Already, his Beast Legion had become so powerful that he knew if they were to face an opponent like the Void Beasts, they wouldn’t be suppressed, at least not easily.

But Kaden isn’t foolish.

He knew for a fact that after nine eras, he wouldn’t be facing the same Void Beasts they faced during the Primordial Era.

In fact, he could already see Primordials showing up, and since it was an invasion, the universe couldn’t suppress them, meaning he, too, would have to produce a few Primordials of his own.

Queen Harxix and her family seemed like the right fit for what he had planned.

But then again, if only Kaden knew what would soon plague him, he would finally see the Void Beasts and the Foreign Race as the least of his troubles.

“Pickle Berry, why don’t you explain to your mother what my blood is capable of? I am sure she will believe you more than me.”

Pickle Berry nodded and walked toward her mother, who had been happy ever since Pickle Berry returned to her.

“Mom, I know you are probably concerned about what will happen to your free will after taking Big Brother’s blood.”

Queen Harxix nodded, not denying that thought. Every warrior wishes to have their own free will. The last thing they want is to be forced to do things against their will.

“You don’t have to worry, because Big Brother’s blood does more than that. Your free will will be the last thing you have to worry about. Trust me, while taking his blood will link you to him, that connection is for a good reason.

“One of them is what he demonstrated by awakening and manifesting the Dao of Big Sister Aria, Stella, and Nova. That shows just how deep that connection is.

But it is far from that. Aside from the Dao manifestation, he can also strengthen and even bestow or mutate your bloodlines easily. In fact, he can do more than just mutate your bloodline. He can edit it, ensuring all the bad things are removed, leaving only the good ones.

Then, aside from that, he can also fix all flaws in your body, allowing someone like me, who is just a god, to defeat a Pseudo-Primordial like Big Brother Thokk.”

Pickle Berry giggled, causing Thokk to smirk, though he also smiled.

He had been defeated by his baby sister, after all, so it wasn’t like she was lying.

“There is so much more he can do, but the core of it is that he has no plans to take over your free will. He understands how important free will is, so the last thing he wants is to infringe on someone else’s free will.

Of course, if you have doubts but still wish to accept his blood, you are free to swear a blood oath with him. That way, all doubts can be cleared.”

Pickle Berry understood how important it would be for both parties to take the next step.

Kaden wouldn’t only grow stronger as a person, but his Star Monarch Bloodline and the Beast Legion would also see significant growth.

Already, he has over a thousand Celestial Beasts in his Beast Legion. That was possible simply because he had formed contracts with Celestials.

If he can get a selected number of Primordials to form contracts by taking his blood, then who is to say he wouldn’t unlock the aspect of his Star Monarch Bloodline that can turn Celestial Beasts into Primordial Beasts?

Pickle Berry knew with every fibre in her body that if that were to happen, then the main universe would surely become strong enough to deal with whatever danger it may face.

But she also wants this for her family because while they are stronger now, she knows a time will come when they will regret their decision if they do not accept Kaden’s generous offer today.

Growth is eternal, but sometimes one needs a boost, and right now, Kaden is that boost.

Perhaps there is no telling what would come tomorrow, but in Pickle Berry’s mind, whatever is coming, as long as they have Kaden’s blood flowing through their bodies, everything will be alright.

She turned to look at her parents and siblings and could tell they were all working through their thoughts to reach a decision.

She stepped back to give them a chance, hoping they would make the right decision.

Suddenly, someone spoke, taking everyone by surprise. “I am ready to take your blood if you don’t mind.”

The one who spoke was Maneli, the Third Ant Ancestor. He had travelled with Kaden and his friends to Dunsil City simply because he knew that if he had come alone, they wouldn’t have allowed him entry.

Of course, the reason why he came wasn’t mainly to see King Xzeth. He had witnessed Kaden’s battles, and as a Primordial, he knew there was no way Kaden should have survived against the opponents he had faced.

However, time and time again, he surprised him, so he approached him to know more about him and, if possible, steal his secrets.

Who would have thought the secret was the person himself?

And since stealing him was impossible, why not join him instead?
