Chapter 1742: King Xzeth is Overpowered
King Xzeth took Kaden’s words to heart.
However, he also understood that without Kaden’s blood, he would have never awakened such a powerful Dao. In fact, he never expected there to be such a powerful Dao sitting right within him, hidden behind a limiter placed on him by nature.
Luckily, he met someone like Kaden who had the means to take away that limiter.
Now, he had awakened something bigger and stronger.
Feeling the power of his Dao coursing through his body, he knew he had become something else.
“This power… if I challenge the Elemental Tower again, I will probably be able to reach the 80th floor and even surpass it.”
“There is only one way to confirm that. But before that, why don’t we examine your Dao to see what you are capable of?” Kaden proposed, and King Xzeth nodded.
He, too, was eager to see what he was capable of.
“Tell me what you can do, and then I will think of different ways you can better utilise it.”
King Xzeth took some time to examine himself first before he started to reveal what he could do with his Dao. Of course, if Kaden wanted, now that King Xzeth had his blood in his body, he could easily examine his Dao and figure out everything he could do.
Then again, for a better understanding, so he could help him utilise it more, he would later do just that. But for now, he wanted to hear what King Xzeth thought of his Dao and how he planned to use it.
Kaden expected to hear something mind-blowing. However, when King Xzeth began to reveal the nature of his Dao, he was left dumbfounded.
“This is a joke, right…? I mean, this can’t be true, right?” Kaden asked, his expression betraying his eagerness to know more about King Xzeth’s Dao.
King Xzeth smiled, and then he activated his Dao, summoning a large clock… “As I said, I have the power to control time as I please. I can choose to speed it up or slow it down.”
He took a small stone and casually threw it at a mountain 3 km away. As the stone moved, he moved his hand, and then the stone that was supposed to move really fast suddenly slowed down.
It slowed down so much that it practically stopped. Kaden narrowed his eyes at it, shock appearing yet again in them. He knew the implications of such power.
In its basic form, if King Xzeth wanted, he could slow down his opponents, rendering their attacks practically ineffective with a mere thought or a wave of his hand. If that were to happen, then even a heaven-incinerating attack would be blocked easily by him.
That also meant he could sneak up on his opponent without them possessing the means to stop him, even if they could track him as he moved.
Since his Dao doesn’t affect the mind, he knew they would see him move, but because they had been slowed down, they wouldn’t be able to do anything.
Then there is the part where, even if he is out of time, he can speed up time for himself while slowing it down for others.
This way, he can attack ahead of time, making sure his attacks strike first before the enemy even has the time to come up with an attack of their own.
But he can go far beyond that.
He can open time portals between realms. Luckily for him, he has four realms, corresponding to his four elemental affinities.
He can harness attacks using them, and depending on when he needs them, he can either open the time portal and let out the attack or open it to swallow an attack.
The moment it enters the portal, it becomes his to control.
So an ice attack can be swallowed and released a second or an hour later. Furthermore, an ice attack swallowed can be transformed into a fire-type skill, allowing him to unleash it whenever he pleases.
But things become far more chilling when King Xzeth does something Kaden never saw coming.
Since he has the power to slow and speed up time, he also possesses the ability to travel through time, by a whopping 72 hours at that.
He can travel back in time by 72 hours and forward by 72 hours.
He literally did so by travelling back in time to before he awakened his Dao, and he even wrote something on the ground.
Right now, Kaden was staring at the message that read, ‘I am the first member of the Elemental Legion,’ carved into a stone.
“You have just become a menace, King Xzeth,” Kaden said, turning to face the man who he knew would do wonders soon.
If he can travel back in time, what is preventing him from sending several instances of himself at different times? This means he can send 71 copies of himself, each wielding his Dao, into the past to aid his 72nd version in battling an enemy.
He can also do the same for a copy of himself 72 hours in the future.
If one of him is already this dreadful, what then would become of him when there are two, three or even ten of him?
It would surely be dangerous, and Kaden could tell that. However, he believes that even if he can’t send all 71 versions of himself, he can send at least three, which is already good enough.
“So if I want to sum everything up, you literally have the 72 hours at your fingertips and can do with them as you please.”
“Among other things, yes. I can harness the 72 hours ahead of me and behind me.”
“Damn, you are OP as fuck.” Kaden was over the moon.
He is someone whose mind works in ways nobody can comprehend. Right now, his hivemind has created dozens of diabolical ways he can use King Xzeth’s powers.
In fact, while he can’t use it, he knew a lot about the Law of Time, so much so that he could literally cheat it if he wanted to. And he plans to teach King Xzeth everything…
“We will have a lot of time later to talk. For now, let me bring the others back and handle their awakening, then we can head over to the Elemental Tower.”
