The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 1751: Blood Is Thicker Than Water (4)

Chapter 1751: Blood Is Thicker Than Water (4)

Mark turned toward the lightning storm, a mysterious smile appearing on his handsome face… At the moment, a large storm had formed around Matthew and the Third Omen, Vaelgor.

‘Looks like Big Brother Matthew plans to end the battle before it even begins.’

As someone who had looked up to Matthew in the past, he always becomes aware when Matthew decides to become serious and when he intends to play with his opponent.

Right now, he had no plans to allow his opponent to breathe much longer.

So Matthew activated one of his trump cards, and looking at the surging storm, Mark knew this bastard was as good as dead. But that didn’t mean his own battle was going smoothly.

He and Gorr were facing off against the 4th Omen. She commanded the concept of Fated Death, one of the most dangerous concepts of death if used correctly.

Klaus had already informed them of the danger the 4th Omen possessed. Her weapon was rather peculiar: a thread and nine needles.

Each needle held a deadly poison that, if inflicted, would not only affect one’s body, mind and soul, but it would also affect one’s fate, making it so that even if the person reincarnated, they would never have a good life.

Klaus paired Gorr and Mark against this particular Omen simply because of what he wanted Gorr to achieve.

After the Necrosword awakened, allowing the weapon spirit to take control of the sword, Klaus discovered that each kill now let the sword copy a technique from its victim.

Out of the Nine Deadly Omens, the 4th Omen was better suited for what Klaus had planned for the Necrosword and, by extension, Gorr.

If he could take the concept of Fated Death for himself, then there was no telling just what kind of monster Gorr would become after this battle.

Mark was merely there for one thing and one thing only: to distract the opponent.

Gorr would do the killing, and since Mark was as fast as Jason, thanks to his wind element, the 4th Omen was now struggling to even lock onto him before attacking.

“Mark, keep going. Don’t allow her a moment to think,” Gorr said, and Mark nodded, his speed surging even more now.

He doubled back, and then, stomping on the ground, he summoned thousands of wind spears and hurled them at the 4th Omen, who created a shield to block them.

Mark let a grin form on his face when he saw this.

Just when the spears were mere inches from the shield, he activated a skill, and the next second, screams came from behind the shield.

“SKIP”

Instead of the wind spears landing on the shield created by the 4th Omen, they bypassed it and landed on her body instead. While her armor had some form of defensive layer, it could only block 20% of the wind blades.

The rest found their mark, injuring the 4th Omen in more places than she could count.

“Oh, sorry about that. This is my first time using this skill, so I didn’t know it would hurt that badly,” Mark laughed, then he vanished, causing the 4th Omen to grit her teeth and clench her fists.

Maybe she wanted to say something or just attack and hope she poisoned Mark. However, her body tensed when, out of nowhere, an arrow arrived and exploded before her face.

BOOOOM

A thick smoke storm formed and enveloped her. She didn’t even know where the arrow came from, but the next second, it exploded.

Right at that moment, she felt death whisper into her ears.

“Negative Domain: Realm of True Death,”

If she were still seeing the space around her, she would have seen that, although there was no color in the air, simply because Gorr was black and white by nature, this time around, everything she could see had no color to it.

Initially, outside of the 1km radius, she could see color. But now it seemed her eyes had been altered so that she could not see color.

Aside from that, she also felt like she and death were about to part ways.

Naturally, Gorr had unleashed his domain, and despite the Concept of Fated Death possessing some form of Dao, all Dao was rendered useless inside the Negative Domain.

Unless one could manifest their Dao, Gorr had all the power inside the Negative Domain.

The smoke cleared, and the 4th Omen met the gaze of the person who attacked her. Kay waved at her, then he turned and focused on his own battle.

The 4th Omen gritted her teeth and was about to curse when she sensed Mark appear 2 meters from her.

“Hey, eyes up here,”

SLAP

The next second, a slap landed on her cheek, sending her head flying back.

BANG

Gorr arrived above her and, using his knee, landed a deadly strike on her head, sending her crashing down to the ground.

“That’s more like it.” Gorr laughed and raised his sword. “Time to kill her then,”

On the outside, Asura saw all this happen and laughed. “Ah, what the hell, I have to also have some fun.”

He thrust his hand into the blood sea behind him and pulled out a red, jagged broadsword lined with countless golden runes. The blade is a bit wider, and two chains dangle off the hilt.

The moment the sword appeared in his hand, the expression on his face changed from a smile to icy coldness.

“You know, I want to test something on you if you don’t mind,”

The sword was raised, and the next second, blood surged inside, causing the space between him and the 5th Omen, Tharos, to lock his body in place.

“Blood Monarch Supreme Slash…” the runes on the sword lit up, releasing a strange energy… “First form: Blood Curdling Slash,”

Asura brought down the sword, forcing a deadly blood arc to flash out, arriving before Tharos. The latter raised a lantern, and from within, thousands of souls poured out.

“Soul Dominion Shield,”

The souls formed into a thick shield, each howling in anguish. Clearly, they had been trapped against their will for a very long time.

BOOOM

The slash landed on the shield, and the next second, all hell broke loose.
