The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 1750: Blood Is Thicker Than Water (3)

Chapter 1750: Blood Is Thicker Than Water (3)

Crashing into the ground clearly wasn’t Rhazor’s finest moment.

He never expected his opponent to be that fast and deadly. One moment, he wished to end the battle before it began; the next, he was sent crashing into the dirt.

That was humiliating, and he intended to wipe that humiliation by the time the battle ended.

However, as he turned and looked at Asmodeus laughing while his twelve Pseudo-Primordial undead cornered the 8th and 9th Omens, he couldn’t help but feel pleased and speechless.

The shamelessness was just too much, but aside from that, the sheer horror of what Asmodeus had revealed had already sent a very deadly message to the Foreign Race and everyone else aiming to come after the Paragon.

Twelve Pseudo-Primordial warriors, each on the same level as the Nine Deadly Omens, clearly showed the kind of monstrous team the Paragon had assembled to follow him into the Ancient Battlefield.

“Ah, such a disgrace. I never knew a subordinate of mine would take all the spotlight from me when the battle hasn’t even started yet,” Rhazor smiled faintly, then flames lit up at both heels.

The flames turned circular, and soon, Rhazor stood on [Nezha’s Wheels], the feeling of speed coursing through his veins.

Behind him, a sea of flames, each exuding the aura of the Flame Dao, materialised. The moment it did, the space around him changed, and Ereshka felt the heat.

“I may have forgotten for a moment that I was fighting a Pseudo-Primordial. But since I am now aware and realise the danger, allow me to show you what the Paragon is capable of.”

Rhazor moved, and the sea of flames moved with him. The next second, they clashed, and waves of power exploded all around them.

Soon, the flames enveloped everything, and from within them, Void, Qilin, Fury and Nirvana revealed insidious smiles.

They had yet to make their moves, but with Rhazor already going all out, they knew it was only a matter of time before the true nature of the battle was revealed.

Ereshka is the Omen of Despair, an aspect of death that cannot be underestimated. Rhazor, with the assistance of his ever-capable assistant Icon, had already identified the concepts each member of the Nine Deadly Omens commanded.

The first Omen commands the concept of Inevitable Death. To him, everything is destined to die regardless of how immortal they are.

He represents absolute death, which is why Klaus made Danny, Miguel and Kay fight him.

He is not expecting Danny and Miguel to do the killing since he knows they would fail miserably. He made them join because they have the highest chance of mitigating his death abilities.

Danny has the light element, and after his upgrade, his understanding of the Light Law had reached a level where he could use it to purify anything.

Aside from that, he can literally make himself immortal by ensuring the gravest of injuries are healed in an instant.

Perhaps among them all, Danny has the highest regeneration ability, which, against someone whose cuts are hard to regenerate from, would come in handy.

Aside from that, he can apply his light element to his friends, allowing them to heal faster.

This makes him the perfect counter for Azrael.

But then there is Miguel, whose lightning purifies decay. It is like his lightning element is made to counter anything negative.

Since the Nine Deadly Omens had cultivated the rotten aspect of death, Miguel’s lightning was the right counter for it. Klaus knew that, so he made sure Miguel fought Azrael as well.

As for Kay, he is the one who will kill Azrael.

Kay is half-elf and half-phoenix. He has both the purity and the flame to kill anything that isn’t pure.

His purified light and all-burning flame will even threaten death, and that says a lot, considering that the last time he fought at his peak, he alone killed so many enemies that the entire battlefield was left stunned even long after he perished.

Klaus wants him to make his comeback today, so he allowed him to kill numbers five and three at the onset of the battle, and now, Danny and Miguel will buy him the perfect chance to kill a Pseudo-Primordial who is also a member of the Nine Deadly Omens.

Klaus understood the battle better than anyone, so he made sure to assign opponents based on who had the best chance of killing them.

Of course, Asmodeus was given the 8th and 9th Omens simply because Klaus knew he had the men to handle them, even if his abilities didn’t counter the concepts they cultivated.

What he never expected was for Asmodeus to pull 12 Pseudo-Primordials to face off against two Pseudo-Primordials. In fact, taking out just four is already overkill.

But then again, the Nine Deadly Omens will become his to command, so perhaps allowing them to meet their future teammates was the right move after all.

The other battles had already begun, and some had become heated.

Matthew faced off against the Third Omen, who calls himself Vaelgor, the Omen of Oblivion. He wielded a black spear, and considering Matthew also wields a spear, their close combat had become the highlight of the battlefield.

Many couldn’t help but ask who this person was. Just like most of Klaus’s friends, they had never seen Matthew before.

But his battle prowess, considering he had already injured Vaelgor in more than five places, showed he was not to be underestimated.

Suddenly, Matthew pushed Vaelgor back and then spun his spear and stood instead of closing in to press his attack.

“I have already created the three killing moves, two ending with your head severed from your body and one ending with a hole through your chest. The first two end less painfully, but with the third, you are going to wish you had never faced me.

“Why am I telling you this? It is because your body needs to be intact. While severing your head can be fixed, a whole body is ideal for what we have planned for you, so I apologise in advance for what I am about to do.”

“Dominion over Lightning and Storm.”

Matthew raised his spear, and at once, the storm started to form. Vaelgor, who wanted to counter his words, frowned behind his mask.

‘This is bad.’

The urge to run flashed through his mind, but Matthew was faster….

“Riding the Storm: Primordial Storm King Art.”
