Chapter 375: Be Warned!

Chapter 375: Be Warned!

By the time Alex finished dealing with the Anthral Tribe and Karakh and his men, the sun had already risen from the east.

After putting some distance between him and the settlement of the tribe, Alex switched his position with his puppet inside the human camp facing the Romethra's barbarian to make his travel time short.

. . .

At the northeastern borders of the Caragan forest, Romethra and his Barbarian army were up and getting themselves ready outside their camps to face the human forces that had already taken a position on a small hill before the sun even rose from the horizon.

The cunning humans had already dug trenches and erected wooden spikes in the middle of the night to stop the barbarians from charging straight at them. Romethra was all too well versed in how humans fought a war and it disgusted him to no end. Humans were nothing but cowards hiding behind their stone-built fortresses and castles or other such barricades.

Well if any human were to hear his words they would scoff at it because the Barbarians themselves built walls to keep out the Demon Beast tide and defend themselves against stronger foes that had the ability to squash their warriors on open grounds.

Looking at the neat formation of humans in steel and leather-clad armors, Alex who had just arrived near emerged from one of the tents in the human camp and was quite happy with the arrangements of his men.

The forces that he brought Viscount Bardricks city were stationed on the eastern side of the camp. Alex intended to use them to flank the Barbarian army when and if his vanguard troops made up of puppets charged at the Barbarians on the battlefield.

The quality of his puppet-made troops was higher than their human counterparts and even against the Barbarian militia. It would be easy to crush the Barbarian army if not for them having elites like Romethra and other people like Karakh and Norakh in their midst. They were the ones who had the capability to cause numerous casualties on his side, both puppets, and humans.

"My lord, our army is in position and is ready to fight on your command. We have prepared tactics and battle to plan to quickly eliminate enemy elites who threaten us the most."

"Oh, what's the strategy?" Alex asked interested. His puppets were highly intelligent and capable of making the most adaptable plans, with the least expense and chances of being successfully carried out with the data they have gathered.

"On one on one fight, it's impossible for anyone here on our side to take on Barbarian elites face to face, that is of course excluding you my lord. But with the cooperation between the puppets, we could use crowd tactics to quickly take them out before their companions are even able to gather together to counter us." the leading commander puppet said simply and continued.

"As we come to know after gathering information on the Barbarians, their elites are usually the ones to lead the attacks as it is seen as cowardly and beneath their pride to stand behind their subordinates in a battle. Of course, the chief might not act like that and in this war especially we think the chances of him waiting it out behind the enemy lines is the most likely."

"By using this strategy, we are expected to lose only a dozen or two dozen puppets but we would have halved the enemy's strength by then."

"Also, my Lord, your newly tamed demon beast would be able to deal a critical strike from the back in their first attack and take most of the threat from the enemy's Demon beasts by engaging them directly. The last and possibly the only threat that would remain is Romethral Antral himself if his remaining subordinated have surrendered by then.

But we have calculated, if you fight with him together with Aqilla, the Black Iron Feathered Lightning Eagle of Rank 4 then we have a 97.36 percent chance of winning this war the least amount of losses as you would have wanted."

Alex didn't have to ask how his puppet came up with that number but he knew it was the best possible plan with the resources they currently had in their hands.

"Go ahead with the plan then. I will stay on standby to deal with any changes on the battlefield. But do send a time team of five men to talk with the Barbarians. We have to warn them that they are invading our territory and that they are breaking the agreement which was made between the humans and their leader, the Ulesis.

Make sure that your words are heard by every single Barbarian." Alex said after thinking for a moment.

"As you wish, My Lord." The commanding puppet then retreated and went to act on his liege's commands.

When the barbarians saw a group of humans coming towards them with a white flag in their hands, they immediately went to inform their chieftain.

When Romethra heard about this, he laughed aloud and said, "Go and meet them. Listen to what they have to say and then tell them to surrender or we won't let a single person leave this place alive."

Romethra knew that the humans won't heed his words but so will he. It was a formality that needs to be done.

Soon the barbarians also sent their men to meet the humans standing in the middle of the two camps.

No one could hear what they were talking about since they were far away but suddenly they heard one of the humans speak loudly with a tool that amplified his sound for everyone to listen.

"Chieftain Romethra of the Antral tribe, you are hereby warned that you and your people are trespassing into the human territory. If you don't turn back, you will face the consequences of your action. Don't break the agreement that was made between the Ulesis and the humans of the past.

If you don't heed my words and still plan to invade our lands, you will be breaking not only the sacred pact but your tribe would also be going against the Ulesis and all the human kingdoms on this continent."

The words of the speaker definitely caused a stir in the midst of the Barbarians. They were deeply affected by the words of going against their Ullesis. It would be the last thing any normal barbarian would want to do.

"One last thing, Viscount Bardrick is dead, so you won't find any help from him. That traitor is already buried underneath the ground " said the speaking human after which he turned his horse and went back with his companions toward their camp without hearing the reply.
