The Rise of the Black Plain

Chapter 2936: First Extra Thrones

Chapter 2936: First Extra Thrones

After a moment of observation from both sides in the region where Minos was cultivating, his allies and the newcomers moved against each other.

Each of the Entitled Deities invoked their divine powers, materializing their thrones, disturbing the surroundings even more than Minos' own cultivation.

The newly arrived group immediately went into formation against Minos' only three allies. Combining their powers and countless years of joint action experience, four of the newcomers focused on immobilizing the three in their path.

Minos' trio of allies didn't stand still. They targeted different opponents, blending their respective expertise to block their opponents' path.

At the same time, the other members of the newly arrived group continued swimming, heading towards the entrance to the cave where Minos was cultivating. Looking at each other, these last Celestials made similar symbols while pointing toward the cave entrance.

"Minos Stuart, this is for you to learn to control your ambition!" Said the leader of the group, as a beam of energy mixed with the laws of light and water crossed the distance between them and their target.

Minos' three allies tried to stop the action of the last two opponents, but found themselves in a restricted area around them. Just as they were about to face the enemy attacks and split up to deal with these newcomers, an altar suddenly appeared below them, with large blue chains running from the ground towards them.

The trio's four enemies positioned themselves in different corners of a square, forming a rectangular barrier from all directions around the three.

Being outnumbered and acting against a group of allies with great experience in joint actions, the trio faced their inability to overcome the enemies' action quickly enough to protect their ally.

A sense of urgency grew in the hearts of the three, failing to face their first challenge while in the position of aide to their alliance leader. It wasn't the danger to Minos that worried them, but their failure to keep problems of that level away from their superior.

Incapacitated, they could only observe the action of the two fools acting directly against Minos, watching as a gigantic blue-gold seal formed around that submerged mountain range.

Even larger and more impressive chains emerged from the ground like snakes, rushing towards the inside of the cave where Minos was; they seemed consumed to restrain and immobilize him.

"This is the Sea Chains Heart, one of the methods available to those practicing the Nine Paths of Water," said one of the two who had acted against Minos, with a confident smile on his face. "When a practitioner uses their art, the sea will obey them and strike with force capable of trapping targets of the same level as the users in a water prison. When two practitioners come together, even someone stronger them the caster can find themselves in a millennia-old, impassable prison!"

The group leader said nothing as he supplied his origin power to the formation they had planned to use. He focused on the power their joint action was resulting in and couldn't help but be shocked by the amount of laws and energy he and his partner had already attracted.

'It's really impressive. But why did Senior Long lend us his powers?' wondered the leader of the group, remembering the head of a friendly faction who had come to him before Minos' hunting party was formed. 'It seems the upper echelon view this guy even more seriously than the rest of us. I'd better strengthen this prison a little more...'

"Gray, let's reinforce the Sea Chains Heart just in case. I don't want to risk with this guy..." He was saying when suddenly, without warning, cracking sounds spread out from Minos' dark cave, followed by a stirring in the sea currents in that area.

As all eyes turned towards the interior of the cave, with expressions gradually changing, blue currents exploded along with parts of the area's mountainous terrain, with fragments projecting in infinite directions and the entire energy of the area changing its 'signature'.

A black, oppressive aura condensed over thousands of square kilometers, rendering the surrounding environment almost entirely devoid of light, making it difficult for the enthroned beings to breathe.

Then, amidst the destruction of the explosion and the abnormal darkness even for this convergence area, a golden glow stood out amidst the dust thrown into the water.

Suddenly, Minos' level reached a new high, leaving the level 125 he had been at since winning Devdar's inheritance, taking him straight to the middle of level 126!

Minos became even bigger and stronger than before, making his opponents fear him for what he had done, while his allies felt their hearts pounding as they imagined he was now even stronger.

"Impossible!"

"Your antics are somewhat overrated," Minos said while expressing a big, attractive smile on his face, making the situation even stranger by speaking with such good humor and then adding a threat. "Unfortunately, the realm has archaic rules that are difficult to deal with. Otherwise, I would kill you now."

With Minos' words, the formation of the four individuals blocking his three allies broke as well, causing each of the ends of the square to feel wounds in their souls.

As the four men spat blood, invisible pillars forced them, and their other two allies, to the ground, bringing them to their knees.

"However, that doesn't mean you'll escape from here easily."

"What do you want?" Asked the leader of the group who had boldly thought he could stop Minos today, with a pale and hideous expression.

Now, however, he could understand how he had never had such a chance. Even in his millions of years of life, never before had Derward come across an existence as powerful as Minos!

Lydis he had never seen in person and all the level 128 Celestials weren't a match for Minos' oppressive aura!

Minos looked more like a level 128 Devil than a level 126 Entitled Deity!

Minos felt the three allies stop behind him and said to the enemies, "Now you have a choice to make. Think carefully. Living forever might not exactly be a good thing if you have to go through endless hellish suffering." He looked at them suggestively as he thought of a way to use them to improve his position more quickly.

He couldn't kill them directly, but by overpowering them, it would be possible to use them to increase his domains instantly!

While talking to them and proposing his offer, Minos felt one of his creations communicating with him, with good news about the hunt for thrones.

'Looks like those guys are really competent. They've already found two ownerless 'thrones' for me!'
