The Rise of the Black Plain

Chapter 2965: The Faith of Minos

Chapter 2965: The Faith of Minos

Somewhere in the Upper Realm…

'Gloria has just succeeded, master.' The voice of the throne suddenly sounded in Minos' mind, changing the look of the tall and strong man with long golden hair, swimming in a murky water area.

Minos almost stopped moving through the surroundings of one of the most extreme and difficult-to-access zones of the dimension, something he had been doing since he left the place where he had recovered from his previous injuries. What was she doing? Minos himself wasn't sure.

'That's good. How many people came to the realm with her?' He asked the throne, not as attentive to the issues of his inheritances as he had been until recently.

Getting a new throne for Ruth's inheritance had been difficult. Hunting a Devil hadn't been the most complicated part, but rather moving without leaving traces, avoiding attracting beings related to the mummy that had left him severely injured.

So, he had stopped checking his inheritances and even his group in the realm.

Minos still didn't know exactly what to do besides moving through complicated areas. What he knew was that stopping wouldn't help and would only make the enemies' work easier.

He had received the hint that he would need to advance in level or find an ally to inherit the Throne of the Law of Darkness and Light. Unfortunately, neither of the two was easy!

But knowing that his wives were gradually entering the dimension was good news. Not only that, the more blood relatives of his wives came to the realm, the more cultivators would join his companions in their movements in this complicated time of his journey.

'Almost all of Gloria's relatives came to the realm, master. Except for her daughter, Sarah, and some of her grandchildren, almost everyone who could use her advancement accepted coming to the realm.'

Although Minos' connection with Gloria's throne had ended the moment she became an Entitled Deity, the throne could distinguish the auras that came to the realm because of the inheritance it had controlled until moments ago.

Minos wasn't surprised. To him, it was natural that his children would refuse to come to the realm this way. There was no shame in itself in using another person's promotion to enter the dimension, but his children, at least most of them, were people with their families and ambitions. Only Lily, who had lost her mother very early and had always been more focused on following in her father's footsteps, the others had always been more attached to their other relatives, responsibilities, and the idea of creating their own journeys.

Naturally, they challenged the heavens in the future in their own ways.

Minos would like to see them surpass him, so he was satisfied with each of their choices.

Unfortunately, the situation of the Ancestral Cult was not comfortable. He couldn't appreciate the information and look at the curiosity of the fate of his children.

Instants after hearing in his mind about Gloria's success, Minos thought about how this could alter the situation of the faction and even of himself.

'Abby succeeded days ago. Now with Gloria in the realm, it's likely they will find some of the groups I sent to scatter that day… With the powers of the two, it will be possible to gather information and think of something to use against the enemies.'

Abby and Gloria were not particularly strong compared to the kind of enemy that worried Minos now. But they had been Devils. Their worldviews were very different from those of the Deities in Minos' alliance. Minos himself was like that, but he had always valued other points of view in his journey.

'Maybe they can make a difference leading the group…' He clenched one of his hands in hope.

Hope. That was all he could have now. From the moment Abby and Gloria succeeded, he lost the only way to understand them. Now that they were Entitled Deities, even someone like Minos couldn't spy on their characteristics without at least approaching them.

Without knowing about the new powers and possibilities of the two, Minos was just rooting for them to succeed in their steps through the realm.

However, not everything was blind trust!

'Let's hope Abby can use her undead in the realm. If she succeeds, maybe we won't become able to fight on equal terms against the enemies, but we can understand their weaknesses faster than they do in their movements!'

'With the possible successes of Ruth and Segiel, your hopes could become reality, master.' The throne affirmed in Minos' mind. 'But our chances are still poor. Finding a method of advancement is still what we can seek.'

'Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be anything capable of helping me with that quickly.' Minos shook his head in lamentation, continuing to navigate through those gray waters. 'If I had time… Sigh! I have no doubt that I would become the peak of existence…'

'In a thousand years, we will be the peak of existence, perhaps above the position that the Celestial King achieved…' The throne said in a deep tone. 'Or I will be in hibernation and you will be dead.'

'The second scenario is the most likely.' Minos laughed bitterly.

'Yes, we have over 80% chance of reaching that scenario.'

Minos said nothing more for a long period, aware of the risks and his possibilities. Sincerely, he wanted to go to his wive's and spend some time with them. For him, the time away from them had been short, but for them, it had been as long as their lives. But Minos was aware of the risks they would suffer if he looked for them.

'If fate allows, we will meet again. But for now, I can only cheer for you from afar.' He closed his eyes for a moment, thinking to himself not only of Gloria and Abby, but also Ruth and Segiel.

Ruth had been the last to join Minos' inheritances, but she was doing well and could finish her journey at the same time as Segiel, or even before.

Given the space-time distortions of the dimension with other universes, the two could be in the realm in a matter of days.

Minos swam faster, continuing his blind search for the only possibilities that could, in his opinion, lead him to survival.

'I hope that one of those comrades in Hell succeeds in the meantime or that my luck shows me leading to a good treasure. Otherwise, I count on you.' He opened his eyes, letting his thoughts die in his mind, while silently counting on the progress of his wives.

As he moved, the realm continued to become increasingly strange, with signs that something great and bad was about to happen soon gradually showing even to average local beings.

A devastating storm or a point of great change seemed about to arrive at all corners of the realm!
