The Rise of the Black Plain

Chapter 2964: Widespread Concern

Chapter 2964: Widespread Concern

In one of the many inhabited areas of the Upper Realm, there was a majestic palace in one of the corners of the city, where a golden glow constantly illuminated it.

From this place of great importance and little access, a powerful aura emanated, reaching dozens of kilometers away. This aura normally made countless beings revere the being behind it. However, today, or rather, lately, things were different.

Inside the palace, in the main hall, marked by the throne of domain exuding the power of the sovereign, there was a group of high-level entities. Men and women there exuded powerful auras, with all of them above level 125.

Normally speaking, beings of this cultivation level would be the strongest in the realm, almost invincible and full of possibilities. The usual would be to find them planning the future, their next victories, and conquests, even if they had to cross long journeys to succeed.

In a dimension where one could not fight directly against the other, those who desired 'peace' hardly had problems. There was even a saying in the realm that, 'those who are not too ambitious can live forever easily'.

Hence, it was normal for Celestials to show themselves as calm individuals, almost as if they never had problems.

This, however, could no longer be considered…

Sitting on the majestic throne, the leader of this domain, a woman of stunning beauty, with short white hair and green eyes like emeralds, had a grimace drawn on her face.

The look of the sovereign reflected not only her state of mind, but that of everyone in her hall.

"Minos Stuart has been missing for more than a month. The realm is getting darker every day. Ominous times are approaching."

"Since he came to the realm, strange things have been happening…" Someone sighed in fear.

"The young man is a ticking time bomb. His temper is too bad!"

"We have to say he is a disgrace to all… If this incident takes him away for good, maybe it's for the best."

"But the enemies of Minos Stuart are a danger to the entire realm. We cannot ignore that! When they return, I fear that all will be at the mercy of their will!"

"This cannot be. The realm has its rules! Not even His Excellency Lydis can go against the heavens! This must be true for them as well!"

"But how can this be true if that mummy almost killed Minos Stuart while inside the realm?" Asked one of the voices discussing the most important matter in the realm at the moment.

News of the dispersion of the Ancestral Cult and the disappearance of Minos had spread throughout the realm. Few knew exactly what had transpired on that fateful day, but some of the strongest in the dimension already had good ideas of what had happened.

And with their information, groups like this could not help but worry about the fate not of Minos or his faction, but of their organizations, families, and lives!

Everyone knew that Deities could not kill each other within the realm. Fights were the maximum that could happen, and even then, one would have to be careful not to be punished by the heavens.

Even so, strange entities had emerged in Minos' territory and almost beheaded him!

How could this have happened?

No other being, besides Devils, could be so strong as to challenge the powers of someone like a Deity, let alone Minos. But Devils could not enter the realm, so those beings could only be Deities themselves. However, if they were Deities, what they did should be against the absolute rules of the domain!

The uncertainty, lack of information, and terror of beings as strong as Lydis emerging were terrifying not only those in the sights of Minos' enemies, but the entire realm.

Minos was now the target of these creatures. What about the future? What if Minos were to fall? How would these groups affect the rest of the realm?

With so many doubts, the strongest in the dimension were more or less reflecting the nervous behavior of the beings in that hall now.

Then, a level 127 Celestial approached the throne of the domain leader and said respectfully, "Your Excellency, I fear we have no choice but to move. You know that this old man has never liked dealing with the intrigues of the realm. But this time, I think we have no choice."

"What do you suggest, old friend?" Asked the woman on the throne to the strongest being, after her, in that place.

"We have to contact His Excellency Lydis and the other leaders of the dimension's factions. We have no other way but to unite against whatever attacked Minos Stuart," the old man said to her, before looking at the rest of the people in that room. "Say what you want about Minos. He is ambitious, arrogant, and problematic. But do not ignore the reality. He is possibly the most talented junior that has emerged in our dimension since the realm's emergence. Him triggering this problem was not by chance or by a foolish act of a junior!"

Half of the group in the hall looked at the ground thoughtfully, reflecting on their words and ideas. But no one found words to refute the old man on the right side of the domain leader.

Looking back at his leader, the bald old man with green skin said, "If possible, we should also find someone from the Ancestral Cult. Knowing what they know could be the best way for everyone."

But then, someone among the strongest subordinates of the leader of this domain raised their voice. "I understand the concern and agree that we should move. But how will contact the Ancestral Cult help us? They are the targets of the mummies! Relating to them would put us in the focus of those creatures!"

The old man glanced sideways at the source of those words. "If we don't learn about their weaknesses, we will be finished when and where they want. Even His Excellency Lydis won't have much to do at such a moment!"

The information about Minos' last battle was not yet robust enough for distant forces to understand exactly how everything had happened. But on that day, much of the realm felt the powers of Minos and the enemies who tried to behead him.

For this reason, these beings knew exactly how strong the strange beings that emerged in the territory of the Ancestral Cult that day were!

The domain leader finally decided. "Vicmon is right. We cannot stand still and cannot wait for the benevolence of those mummies. We know nothing about them besides their undeniable power. So we will seek members of the Ancestral Cult while contacting the other leaders of the realm's factions."

"Yes, Your Excellency."

"Meanwhile, keep your movements as 'silent' as possible. I don't want problems, fights, or discussions while our doubts persist."

This didn't even need to be said. The fear of attracting unnecessary attention had already filled the hearts of the main forces of the dimension!
