Chapter 759: Long Lost Vow.

Chapter 759: Long Lost Vow.

Long Lost Vow.

"Such an interesting turn of events, don't you agree?"

The other her mused, sitting on a chair she had summoned whilst drinking a cup of tea. She was taking a leisurely rest as her tiger dealt with Sabrina. And Sabrina had to admit, every second that passed slowly pushed her to a loss.

Dealing with the tiger was not so difficult, the only problem was the other her. If she was close to defeating this beast, the other her would always intervene.

The tiger had the ability to teleport, at first she thought it was her end when it used it, but it was remarkably slower than compared to Alan, who could do it in an instant. The beast's body would slowly vanish into the air, and slowly appear wherever it wanted. It was easy to predict because it created a large mana trace, along with the fact that it was slow.

If it was anything like Alan's teleportation, she was sure her head would be inside that tiger's maw by now. Thankfully, it wasn't…

That didn't mean the fight was easy, the tiger was plenty fast, and its body was as hard as steel, she hadn't tested its claws yet, and didn't want to. She had plenty of spells that could deal with it in one-go, but the other her wouldn't give her the time to prepare them.

She was stuck in a game of tag, basically, and with each second that passed, her defeat came closer as her mana was slowly chipped away. One thing she was able to gleam, however, was that something serious was happening outside.

The eye held within the staff always kept looking somewhere, just not her, and she was certain it was beyond this space. It could only be Alan, who had to be doing something on the outside.

The other her was also the same, she would sneak glances there sometimes, and always, always send some of her mana outside. She could be reinforcing this space, or doing something else…

The only thing that mattered, was that she had a window she could act upon. But what to do? The only issue was that.

Evading the tiger once more, she had only two choices at this point. Use one of the greater runes on her body to unleash a spell so strong it would deal with the tiger instantly. Since it was a runic spell engraved on her body, it was basically instantaneous.

But it would still immobilize her momentarily, and all the other her needed to kill her was a moment… The second thing she could do was make sure something else dealt with the tiger. Her spirit was more of a reconnaissance and comfort pet, rather than fighting. So, she could conjure up a golem instead.

The only issue, there was nothing here to make a golem with. The entire space was something the other her had conjured, it was all within her control. If she made a golem with all the existing materials here, the chance it's control would be overridden were high. Nearly a hundred percent.

She would have to make the materials herself, like Alan mostly did with his meteors. Her mana wasn't as limitless as his, and she couldn't use his, since she didn't know how serious the situation outside was. It would take her all she had to make a golem that could deal with the tiger. This chapter's true source is * (*).

But she was afraid that was the only option she had at this point. It didn't matter… she had some storage runes on her to make up for the lack of mana. She just had to wait until Alan to do something outside that would draw the other hers attention again.

'Come on, I know you can do it…'

She just had to evade the damn tiger until it happened, making sure she used as less mana as she could. She just had to wait…for the moment.

'Come on, baby, please just cast a large dam meteor or something…!'

And it came, the other her diverted her eyes once more and sent some of her mana outside, Sabrina capitalized on that gap, and cast a thousand magic arrows once more at her, whilst pushing the tiger away with a forceful push of pure mana. Creating a simple smokescreen, she got to work.

"That was odd, the same spell yet none of them were unique this time, what are you doing in the smokescreen I wonder…"

Her eyes began to glow a deep red, but her face soon contorted into a grimace as she saw what was happening. Her tiger, unaware, leapt into the smoke only to find its face smashed with a powerful fist of metal.

The best steel humanity could offer, and the best steel Sabrina could conjure with her mana reserves… in the form of Alan Peccator. The best fighter she knew. Creating a large golem would be useless in this situation. Not only was it a big target, but it also would be unable to deal with the fast tiger.

Something that size definitely could, however, especially since Sabrina put all her memories of Alan fighting with his fists into that thing. It was safe to say, that if it performed even half as good as Alan, that tiger was done for.

"All of your mana, for that? While I'm still here? If the original was here, sure, but that thing wouldn't be able to deal with me."

She stood up from her chair, and the teacup vanished into thin air as she tapped her staff on the ground once more.

"I didn't make it to deal with you…"

The golem lunged at the tiger, and the sound of metal clashing was heard. Sabrina now knew the tiger's claws weren't to be messed with, just from the sound of the clash. Unfortunately, she had her own problem to deal with.

"Oh really? And how will you deal with me when all of your mana is exhausted?"

A searing pain echoed throughout her body as all the mana stored in her one of her storage runes seeped into her body, about sixty percent of her mana was restored in a few seconds.

The other her simply had a deadpan expression…

"... Of course, a storage rune. How the hell did I discover runes this early…?"

She didn't pay any heed to the other hers words, instead she ran as fast as she could, enhancing her body to the limits as she approached the other her with incredible speed, casting lightning magic on her legs as she jumped, casting a small bolt of lightning at the other her first.

That was merely a distraction, she intended to knee the other her in the face. She had done that just to reveal if some shields she was not aware of were in place.

There were, just as she had expected, A shield popped up to block the lightning bolt, so Sabrina just enhanced her knee as much as she could, along with doing her best to break the shield down. Her strike passed through the shield, and landed in the other her's face.

The only problem being… was that it hurt like hell, not for the other her, but Sabrina.

She let out a scream of pain as she fell to the ground, her knee was devastated, the bones within shattered as it felt like she hit an iron wall instead of a human face. She knew monsters would be durable… but it mimicked her… not Alan! Why did hitting it feel like she was hitting iron instead?

She almost let out a cry of pain as she clutched her, but was smacked away by the staff.

"Hehe. You see, mages usually have weak bodies, I fixed that issue first."

The other her laughed, as Sabrina saw her face turn into pure metal, along with all of her body for a moment.

"Be glad I didn't use that, just my natural defenses are enough. Your physical body goes through a great reformation when you bridge the gap to epic."

'What…? She hadn't even used the skill to make her turn into steel…?'

Then what the hell did she hit? She had enhanced her body to the limits, and cast magic on herself as well…

"You should take a look over there."

She turned her head, only to see her golem had been ripped to shreds, clinging to the tiger's leg with one arm and a torso detached from the body. The head had been pushed into the frame…

"Golems usually don't fight while protecting themselves, but that one took it to another level. No self-preservation at all."

"..."

Ah, right… she made that thing in Alan's image, and it had her memories of him fighting… Of course, it would be ripped to shreds. Alan may fight with technique, but he threw defense out of the window long ago…

Unfortunately, the golem couldn't regenerate like Alan.

"Now, will you finally listen to me?"
