The Villain's Story

Chapter 761 - 1v2v1 (2)

Chapter 761: 1v2v1 (2)

As Alan was about to cleave Alpha’s head from her body, his fist came to an abrupt stop. Someone had stopped it, even though his body should have failed him by now.

Alan turned his head to stare at Beta, who flinched. The man had run here in an instant to stop his fist. Strange, Alan was certain he had punched his face so hard the skull should have caved into the brain.

Apparently, he could survive that. The twin’s seemed to have a regeneration feature as well. Although pathetic compared to his. He shouldn’t really judge, everything on this planet was strange.

He shouldn’t have expected him to die with that. No matter, next he would evaporate the poor bastard.𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

"Blood Suckers..."

A faint voice echoed from his front, Alan turned around to see a swarm of red flying towards him, colliding with his body and sending him flying back. They were creatures made of mana and blood, mosquitoes with the ability to pierce anything but him.

The creatures swarmed all over his chest, arms, neck, and legs. But unfortunately they failed to pierce his skin. The creatures seemed to be sentient, or at least controlled by Alpha.

Once they realized his skin wouldn’t fall to them, they rushed to his eyes, his mouth, his ears, his nose. Some of them became smaller just to fit inside. They covered his entire face, but were lit apart by blue fire.

Not exactly the fire of the phoenix, since Alan simply used mana as the source other than aura. He was mostly saving aura for regenerating. The mosquitoes burned to a crisp, but as soon as they did, Beta, now twice the size he was before appeared, with a fist the size of Alan’s face, he punched with all his might.

The proper posture, stance, and enough enhancement to deliver the most powerful blow he could, the most force he could exert. But Beta’s fist collapsed as he hit not the face, but rather the forehead.

Alan had lowered his face at the right moment, he had forsaken defending himself long ago... since his regeneration made sure he didn’t take any lasting damage. The natural defenses of his body were enough.

However, getting rid of the natural reflexes Arken taught him, or rather beat into him, were difficult. They were just muscle memory at this point. Regardless, considering how tough his body already was, he was sure Beta’s fist was in a bad condition.

The pain evident on his face spoke volumes. Alan opened his mouth, blinding Beta by a bright blue light, but as the breath was unleashed, Alan found himself falling deep into the ground. His sense of balance was ruined, and thus, Beta evaded the breath by a hair’s breadth.

Alan sunk into the ground, finding it to be eating his skin away slowly. A corrosive property was imbued into it, but it was slow. Far too slow.

He unfurled his wings and flew out of the trap, diving towards Alpha. The mage should always be taken care of first. Unfortunately, Alpha had set up some tight defenses.

Creatures of flesh emerged from all around her, and her hair started to rise as the ends turned into metallic spikes. A magic circle of pure red appeared behind her, yet did nothing.

’...’

Alan couldn’t feel anything from it, which was strange. It was a spell, he was sure of that, but no mana was being used to power anything but the circle. Was she preparing a large scale or powerful spell? That couldn’t be it either.

Well, he could worry about it after he killed her.

His figure appeared in front of her once again, and his tail pierced her chest. The beasts of flesh she had conjured, the numerous defenses she had set up failed her. Alan was too fast, and his mana was too overpowering.

But, she did not die. Instead, she turned into a puddle of blood, muttering.

"Predictable."

Alan teleported again, far from his original location, but nothing had happened. The red circle still floated there ominously, and the creatures of flesh recovered. Alpha reappeared beside Beta, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Alan stared at the magic circle, and raised his hand. He was planning to destroy it, it was giving him the creeps anyway.

He succeeded, by sending a concentrated blast of mana towards the circle. The downsides of circle sorcery was that the circles were always weak and fragile without any defensive measures.

But instead of it disappearing into thin air, destroyed by his mana... The circle absorbed it, and turned it into power. It multiplied by the dozens, and locked onto his position.

From the side, Alpha smirked, as Beta’s body began to grow once more. The suit he was in was ripped to shreds, and muscle appeared all around, not covered with skin and oozing blood. It was disgusting to look at.

Alan stared at them both, secretly preparing a charged breath as they looked at one another, waiting for the other’s move.

But instead of fighting, Alpha raised her hand, and initiated a conversation.

"Young Dragon of House Shivalkulan, for what purpose are you here?"

Alan stopped charging his breath, looking straight at her. She flinched as his eyes locked into hers, and Beta instinctively stepped forward. Alan could understand them due to the gift of the dragons, and he could converse with them as well.

"I don’t know, You all brought me here, and suddenly attacked me."

Their eye’s flinched, and regained a small sliver of hope. Alan had basically told them the truth. Technically, he had come here because the necklace transported Sabrina here, and they had attacked him first.

Beta had tried to kick him in the face, whilst Alpha had tried to plunge her dagger into his neck. He was just... reciprocating.

What’s more, he couldn’t teleport out of here as well. As time passed, that started to annoy him more and more. He couldn’t explain why, but the feeling of being bound to this planet was pissing him off.

"What’s more, I can’t even get out of here."

He had only whispered that part, but Alpha and Beta had heard him clearly. And Alan was getting pissed with every second that he was here. The feeling of being bound, no freedom, Sabrina being trapped in a space he couldn’t wait to tear down but was being stopped by these two. The thing approaching, and the damn thing taking a peek at him from God knows where.

Everything, was pissing him off.

’How fortunate?’

Alpha was confused, her thoughts were a mess. She was certain that Beta and Her could not defeat this monster as they were now. They had not drunk a single drop of blood ever since they awakened, and all their efforts to draw blood from this dragon were futile.

The defense was simply something monstrous, equal to that of an Earth dragon, and second only to the Metal Dragons. Excusing his adept usage of the spatial element... this one was a frost dragon. He... shouldn’t have this much defense.

And most of all... How did he come here? The array set here on this planet does have the function to draw the unfortunate beings who seek their artifacts. But this? This?! How the hell did it reach a frost dragon, the most protected race of dragons?

And besides, this frost dragon defied every expectation she had. Normally, a dragon this young would have died at the first ambush. This was just a baby they were dealing with, yet, it survived, and was absolutely overpowering them.

Even if he had survived the first ambush, Alpha thought that it would simply cast spells at light speeds. Not get up and personal!

But, if he was simply misunderstood, and didn’t know the truth here... They could use him, to take care of the traitor. This baby dragon surpassed all expectations, and he could do it... Even if he couldn’t, he would at least make sure the traitor was fatally wounded.

They could step in then.

"Great Dragon, The reason you remain trapped is because of a vile traitor. He is a part of this planet, and the array that covers it. It is because of him that you are trapped here. Eliminating him would make you free."

The best lie was the one with truth mixed in it. She had to make sure this dragon faced the traitor instead... Alpha and Beta had to recuperate, and stop anything from disturbing the ceremony.

It would be easy, young dragons and god beasts were always, without a doubt, filled with incredible amounts of pride. Ego, it filled their entire being. Manipulating him would be easy.

Merely the word great dragon, venerable one, invoked great pride in them, making them easy to handle.

"Yeah, shut the fuck up."

"...?"

"The thing blocking me isn’t the dude coming from behind. But that space, and whatever it is there helping you recuperate and peeking at me. The dude behind is only a small part. I’m getting in there."

"..."

Alpha gave up, this dragon had developed his gifts far too early. And besides, the fact that he wanted to disturb the ritual was unforgivable.

"Arrogant Lizard."

Alan’s anger reached a new peak when she said those words. At first... he was just going to do the normal version.

Now? He was casting [Supreme Meteor].
