Villain: The Play of Destiny

Chapter 551

Chapter 551: Chapter 551

"So, how was your meeting with your in-laws?" As soon as Harud returned home and entered the lounge, Kiara teased him.

"It was fine." He absentmindedly answered, and everyone in the room, including Victor, curiously turned to look his way.

It was unusual for him to be distracted like this.

"What happened?" Kashish raised her brow, already up on her feet and approaching him.

"Nothing..." He was about to carelessly answer again but glanced into her eyes and then sighed. "Nothing happened at the Nemerus Estate. The lunch was fun."

"Then?"

"I was stopped at the City Gate," He informed them, "Under the orders of the City Prince, Fabian Crystol."

"What did he want from you?" She frowned.

"He wants Reha." Harud smiled. "It was supposed to be a show of power, and he wanted to get a read on me. Perhaps, if the Nemerus Guards were not with me, he would have been more straightforward with his threats."

"He threatened you?" Kiara furrowed her brows.

"Yes. Well, he said that he had suspicions about us and that we had some nefarious agendas for trying to get close to the Nemerus Family. And he thinks I am trying to seduce Reha." He rolled his eyes at the last sentence, and his words made both Kashish and Kiara smile.

"That’s true, though."

"I am not!"

"Yes, you are. And you don’t even realise it." Kashish gently ruffled his hair. "Go, finish your reading."

The young Mir nodded to the command of his sister and then obediently retired to his room. He practically ran out of the lounge, fearing that Kiara would pull his leg again if he stayed there any longer, and his antics made the Eldeilyon Sisters grin.

"I am worried that Reha is going to have him wrapped around her fingers very soon." She teasingly said, and her sister rolled her eyes at her words.

They both knew that it was something that would never happen.

"Well, she is going to bring troubles to him for sure."

"She already has, and even though he keeps denying his interest in her, this Fabian and his words have upset him." Kiara smiled. "Should we kill him?"

The mischievousness in her voice made Kashish smile.

"Let him deal with his own troubles." She said, and frowned when she sensed some people knocking on the Barrier of their estate.

Victor was already up on his feet as he rushed out of the lounge to see who it was, and Sebastian, who was outside, was soon speaking to the group that had come to see them.

"My Lady." A while later, Victor entered the lounge again and handed a letter to Kiara.

She had already heard the conversation Sebastian had with the group, so she knew that they were from the City Lord’s Mansion.

The letter was an invitation to tonight’s dinner, sent by Fabian Crystol, at the behest of his father, the City Lord, and it was directed to Keith and them.

"What do you think this is about?" She asked her sister, whose brows were furrowed, and when Alana and Ayesha came over to read the letter, they frowned as well.

"Keith has attracted their attention." Ayesha did not believe that it concerned Harud.

She found it hard to believe that someone like a City Lord of an Independent City would be foolish enough to entertain his child’s stupid infatuation with a girl.

"Probably," Kashish nodded her head. "We are a mystery in this city, and given that the Elysian Empire is trying to keep tabs on us, the Vulcans must be curious now."

"You think it’s the Vulcans?" Alana frowned.

"Yes," She confidently nodded her head. "I will go wake him up." After saying that, she walked towards the room where Keith was taking a nap.

Without knocking on it, she opened the door, and a smile formed on her lips when she found Ingrid and Ingvild wrapped around him, hugging him as they smiled to their dreams.

Kashish felt a little guilty for what she was about to do, not wanting to disturb their rest, but she realised that Keith needed to be informed about the letter right away.

However, to her luck, she never got a chance to disturb his rest as his eyes opened on their own.

A smile crept on his face at something she was unaware of, piquing her curiosity, but she did not pry into it and stepped forward to lean on his face.

"Good morning." His eyes met hers, and his smile brightened.

"Good Afternoon." She nudged her nose with his and then sipped a kiss from his lips.

"Afternoon? Harud’s back?"

"Yes. And we have received a letter from the City Lord’s Mansion," She replied and continued when he quizzically raised his brow at her words. "We have been invited over for tonight’s dinner."

"I see." He frowned, and then read the letter that she showed him.

"What do you think this is about?" She asked.

"Curiosity," Keith replied without a doubt in his mind and then planted a kiss on Ingvild’s head. "Want to see something interesting?"

As soon as his words fell, both Ingrid and Ingvild opened their eyes and raised their heads to curiously look at him.

"Kiara, Alana..." He called out to the rest of the girls as well, and within seconds, they arrived in his room.

"Yes?" Ayesha curiously looked at him, but he did not answer her.

Instead, he whisked them all away to Aerzar, and any questions they had were answered right away.

Up in the sky, under the dark rumbling clouds, a beautiful maiden in a black dress, whose long hair fluttered as the wind circled around her, unleashed her beautiful silver Aura.

A deafening boom shook the world as the Laws thundered, and soon the Judgement fell upon her, whose strength was rising exponentially with every passing second.

The Red Lightning of Judgement kept falling on her as if determined to obliterate her, and on the ground, her sisters stared at the scene with bated breath and worry marring their faces.

They knew that she was facing the Martial Tribulation, but it somehow felt more extreme than what they had faced before.

One by one, the pillars of Lightning kept falling on her, until the last of them, the 27th bolt, fell on her and she survived it.

However, her Aura was blazing, and her Aura Sea and Nodes kept expanding and evolving, showing no signs of stopping.

Just when the girls started anticipating another set of Martial Tribulation to fall on their sister, whatever source of power that she had inside of her, helping her raise her Cultivation Realm, seemed to have run dry.

Minami, now a Rank 7 Martial Master, opened her Amethyst eyes, wearing a slight frown on her face, and suddenly, an Aura sword formed in her hand.

To their surprise, another bolt of Lightning fell from the sky, this time, it was silver, and with it, a weight pressed on their hearts.

"The Pillar of Enlightenment!" Kiara exclaimed, and her words shocked her sisters to the core.

However, what happened next shocked them even more as they witnessed the sky get littered with innumerable sword-like blades, and they all heard a ringing buzz in their ears.

In an instant, they realised that the Pillar of Enlightenment had helped Minami tap into her Sword Intent, and fuelled by their curiosity and fascination, they watched everything with absolute focus.

The Sword Energy, which had manifested from Minami’s Aura and Mana, danced around her, creating a ringing sound and a chill that crawled over their skin, and then the innumerable blades in the sky all rushed towards her.

Fear gripped their hearts when they saw the scene, but to their immense relief, all the sword blades simply disappeared inside her body as soon as they came in contact with her, and there was no hint of discomfort on her face.

Soon a smile formed on Minami’s face, and Kiara burst out laughing with happiness and jumped into Keith’s arms.

"She awakened her Sword Intent before you! We win!" She said.

"I was not informed that there was a competition." He smiled, and she stuck her tongue out at him before kissing him on his lips.

"Doesn’t matter. We win." She grinned again and then jumped out of his embrace, rushing towards her sister who was now descending from the sky.

The rest of the girls were right by her side, and soon they surrounded Minami.

"Are you okay?" Qingyue worriedly asked as the girl landed on her feet, and the smile that crept on her lips relieved her of all the worries.

"I am fine. It will take a day, at most, to get used to this new strength." She said and then grinned at Kiara, who was now pouting at her.

"You found a treasure and did not tell me about it."

"It was a Water Spirit."

"Oh." Her sister’s eyes widened at her words, and then excitement dawned on her face. "Which one?"

"A Heavenly Elemental Spirit, The Life Devouring Water Spirit."

"What?!"

Unsurprisingly, those who were familiar with the name were shocked to the core.

"It’s the same one that Freya had!" Amira and Reina simultaneously exclaimed, recalling one of their favourite characters from the stories they had read, and the black-eyed Eldeilyon smiled at them, nodding her head.

"Want to meet her?" She asked, and before they could answer, she called out the Water Spirit that was now part of her.

All of a sudden, a cute little water nymph escaped her body and then comfortably sat on her palm. Her transparent but soulful watery-blue eyes curiously looked at them, and then she mischievously sprang to life and rushed forward to carefully inspect their Auras that intrigued her.

"It tickles!" Reina giggled when the Water Nymph touched her face with her watery hands, and then laughed some more when it disappeared into her hair.

Soon it was playing with Amira and Qingyue as well, and for the rest of the afternoon, the girls stayed in the lawn, chatting with each other and playing around with the first Elemental Spirit that they had seen in their lives.

At some point, their interaction turned into a training session, where they all decided to gang up on their sister.

Minami welcomed their challenge and kept smiling as she forced them to give it their best shot.

On the side, Keith watched them play, standing next to Venessa and Kashish, and they could not help but laugh when little Gigi decided to join the fray, determined to help out Qingyue in the fight.

"Take her with you." Venessa suddenly said to him, and Keith raised his brow at her.

"Minami?"

"Yes. Her desire to become stronger stems from her love for you. She told me that she wanted to get stronger to protect you." Her eyes met his, and the smile on her face brightened. "Now she’s strong enough to not hold you back."

"She has never held me back." He smiled back at her.
