Chapter 2816: The Powers Of The Silent Lotus World

Chapter 2816: The Powers Of The Silent Lotus World

The position of the Green Lotus Temple was truly elevated in the Silent Lotus World. Being ranked among the top three powers was no small achievement. The other two formidable forces that shared this status were the Xian Sword Sect and the Darkhan Empire.

The Xian Sword Sect was a renowned institution that walked the path of the sword. It wasn't just considered powerful in this world—it was hailed as one of the top sword sects in the entire Immortal Realm. Their reputation extended far and wide, bolstered by their unwavering alliance with the Immortal Court and their firm stance as a righteous sect.

Hearing about them, Lin Mu became intrigued. He could already tell it might be well worth his time to visit them.

"Oh yeah, the Xian Sword Sect is probably the place you want to visit for sure," Daoist Chu said with a nod.

"You would certainly benefit from it," Monk Hushu added. "You might even be able to use their Sacred Training Grounds if you're lucky."

"The Sacred Training Grounds?" Lin Mu raised his brows. "What does it do?" he asked, curious.

Many sects possessed Sacred Training Grounds, but their properties varied wildly. Some had special energy flows, others led to secret realms with bountiful resources or dense spiritual energy. Without visiting one personally, it was difficult to grasp what made each unique.

"The Sacred Training Ground of the Xian Sword Sect is called the Final Edge Sacred Ground," Monk Hushu revealed. "It specializes in the cultivation and refinement of Sword Intent."

"Sword Intent?" Lin Mu's eyes lit up with interest.

"Indeed. It's considered one of the finest such places in the Immortal Realm. Sword cultivators from all corners of the realm dream of stepping into it, even if just once in their lives," Monk Hushu continued.

"Though gaining entry is easier said than done," Daoist Chu chimed in. "Even their own disciples only get one chance to enter during their lifetime. To enter again, they must earn the required merits."

"Hmm… so I'll have to do the same," Lin Mu mused.

"Yes. You can approach the sect and request entry in exchange for undertaking a mission. But I must warn you—it will almost certainly be no simple task," Daoist Chu advised.

"I suppose it's worth looking into," Lin Mu said, undeterred.

He wasn't one to back down from a challenge, especially one that promised to improve his understanding of the sword. He had been pondering the formation of his own Sword Dao Embryo for some time, unsure of which path to pursue.

'Perhaps this might offer the insight I've been looking for,' Lin Mu thought.

Next in prominence after the Xian Sword Sect was the Darkhan Empire.

Unlike the other two sectarian powers, the Darkhan Empire was a secular power. While it did not have the spiritual influence of the Green Lotus Temple or the elite training capabilities of the Xian Sword Sect, it held vast military and political strength. With three Transcendent Immortals—the highest number among the top three—it stood as a solid and enduring force. The empire had ruled for over a million years and showed no signs of fading.

"Oh yeah, can I get a map of the Silent Lotus World?" Lin Mu asked.

"Of course," Prefecture Lord Shiren replied promptly. He turned to a nearby servant and gave the order. Moments later, he handed Lin Mu a jade slip. "Here."

SHUA

Lin Mu tapped the jade slip, activating the embedded technique.

A large-scale projection bloomed in front of him in the shape of a sphere, revealing the Silent Lotus World as a complete globe.

The world had a single, colossal continent that dominated the surface, occupying nearly half of the planet. The oceans surrounded the landmass completely, forming vast coastlines and penetrating deep inland in the form of gulfs, bays, and intricate networks of seas.

Despite appearing small at first glance, the oceans were vast, and multiple internal seas within the continent were linked together by extensive rivers that crisscrossed the terrain. These waterways brought life to many regions and served as natural borders between powers.

The three dominant powers were positioned almost equidistantly. The Green Lotus Temple sat near the eastern central portion of the continent, acting as a spiritual heart. The Xian Sword Sect was located far to the west, near the oceanic cliffs and windswept mountains, and the Darkhan Empire controlled the vast southern expanse.

In terms of territory, the Darkhan Empire held the largest share, occupying nearly half the continent. It stretched from the central lands to the southern coastlines, marked by its cities, fortified capitals, and military outposts.

The Xian Sword Sect, by contrast, claimed a much smaller territory—only about two thousand kilometers across. But as a cultivation sect, it didn't require large amounts of land. It also had several affiliated sects and vassal domains that extended its reach to nearly ten thousand kilometers.

The Green Lotus Temple controlled roughly three thousand kilometers of land directly. Its influence spread outward through its associated prefectures and monasteries. The Lotus Prefecture—where Lin Mu currently resided—was one such region, covering about five hundred kilometers.

The greater area around the Green Lotus Temple was a diverse landscape composed of verdant forests, mist-covered mountains, dry deserts, mystical swamps, and serene lakes. It housed countless towns, villages, cultivation sects, and autonomous kingdoms.

Despite being one of the top three powers, the Green Lotus Temple, true to its Buddhist nature, did not enforce rule over these lands. Rather, it served as a spiritual and cultural center, allowing local governments and minor sects to self-govern under its guidance.

As Lin Mu studied the map, a few names caught his attention.

"The Black Vajra Monastery and the Great Burden Monastery?" Lin Mu read aloud, a flicker of recognition in his eyes.

"Ah, those are the ones I mentioned to you before," Monk Hushu said.

"Yeah… the Body Cultivation Buddhist Monasteries," Lin Mu nodded.

One of these was also what the Steel Horned General Niu Juo had visited long ago in the past and had told Lin Mu about.
