Weakest Beast Tamer Gets All SSS Dragons

Chapter 1208: Chapter 1208 - Taming the Old World - Elemental Dragons - 5

The mushroom rapidly ran a diagnostic on Ren’s system state, and its tone instantly morphed into panic.

"...Ren. I see that you have developed a vastly superior understanding of the cores’ activation mechanism, I acknowledge that. You are managing the draconic flow significantly cleaner than you did some minutes ago." The beast’s voice dropped, becoming terrifyingly severe. "But do not get arrogant! The mortal body possesses biological limits for a reason. Your actual safe threshold right now is two hundred and seventy-five after the damage we took. Because of that twenty-five percent overflow, your structure is actively crystallizing vastly faster and more aggressively than before! We are bleeding over the edge!"

Ren knew and had felt it instantly despite trying to push the energy to his hands.

The jagged crystals were no longer just dotting his forearms. They were tearing through the skin and muscles of his biceps, rapidly crawling up the sides of his shoulders, the agonizing numbness creeping terrifyingly close to his torso and neck.

"So tell me this brilliant idea of yours right now!" Mooshito demanded, its voice shrill with terror. "Because we need to expend this energy right now and I am mathematically certain we cannot win by punching it, and you have not much time left before this crystallization breaches your vital organs! If it reaches the core, absolutely no one in the universe can pull us out!"

Ren’s eyes widened in panic, yet not for his own life since he already had calculated and was pushing the extra to the external sides.

But if the girls saw the jagged crystal ripping through his skin inside his clothes, if they realized he was somewhat breaking his promise and turning into a statue right in front of them, they would panic hard.

He couldn’t let them see the damage. Also he was indeed in a hurry anyway...

Moving with frantic, adrenaline-fueled speed, Ren popped the high collar of his Vanguard uniform, aggressively pulling the ruined fabric up to completely obscure his neck and jawline. He twisted his torso slightly, hiding his rapidly crystallizing forearms behind the folds of his broken artifact cloak.

He forced the most reassuring, albeit strained, smile he could muster through the pain.

"I have the needed energy now! I’ll be right back!" Ren gasped, his words tumbling out in a rapid, breathless rush. He didn’t dare maintain eye contact for more than a microsecond. "I love you all! Help Lin kick any small mutant ass!"

Before Luna could reach out, before Larissa’s analytical eyes could spot the glowing cristals hidden beneath his clothes, and before Liora could shout a warning, Ren engaged his fusion to its absolute maximum.

BOOM.

The ground completely shattered beneath his boots. Ren launched himself into the sky, leaving behind a massive kinetic shockwave that sent the girls stumbling backward. He tore through the clouds like a blinding, desperate comet, racing to face the five-headed apocalypse before his own body turned to glass.

"I need your help again," Ren thought, his mental voice sharp and entirely devoid of panic as he tore through the sky. "But this time, I do not want you to manage the energy overflow. I need you to actively manage the dragon cores."

"Only the... The cores?!" Mooshito shrieked, genuine alarm flooding the psychic link. "You want to extract more primordial ether from them?! Ren, without all seven of them fully assembled, they are catastrophically unstable! I have absolutely no idea how you managed to comprehend their runic structure well enough to activate them twice already, but I cannot squeeze vastly more output out of them than you already have..."

"...And if we forcefully extract more of that energy, it will affect the primordial seed. It is absolutely not the right time for that! There is a ninety percent probability that the vibration simply shatters the seed and kills us instantly, and only a miraculous ten percent chance that it successfully births the World Tree. That isn’t a calculated risk, you lunatic! It is suicide unless we possess a stable Platinum-tier system to safely anchor the development!"

"Relax... I have no intention of risking our seed," Ren replied, his tone chillingly calm against the roaring wind. "I am absolutely not going to attempt anything suicidal yet. Listen very carefully to what I just realized."

He explained it rapidly, firing the facts across their mental tether while below them, the adamantium tower groaned and buckled little by little beneath the relentless assault of the five-headed Hydra.

"The energy radiating from the ancient cores feeds into our system with a resonance remarkably similar to the primordial dragon energy we took from the second chamber, yes. It is also structurally similar to the ambient output of the elemental crystals... But I finally realized the difference in their frequency resonance. And it was partly because of exactly what Selthia just did with her mutated dragons, burying the stolen Yino cores deep beneath the bedrock."

He paused for a second to organize his thoughts, completely unwilling to waste precious breath over-explaining.

"Here is the most critical variable: Do you remember the reinforced bedrock? When Julius and our Vanguard’s earth users weaponized the dragon energy to permanently seal the courtyard floor, that hyper-compressed stone acted as an impenetrable jammer. It blocked Selthia from communicating telepathically with her subterranean beasts for a crucial window of time. It worked entirely because of the opposing frequency resonances of dragoconic energy."

Mooshito fell completely silent for a second.

"...That is impossible," the beast finally whispered, its psychic voice laced with profound shock. "I knew that variable... I possessed that exact data, and I failed to connect the dots. I have always analyzed the primordial dragon energy purely as a high-calorie fuel source designed to catalyze growth at the appropriate stage... I never once considered weaponizing it as a..."

The mushroom cut itself off, and Ren felt the exact, electrifying microsecond the brilliant beast finally understood the entire architectural blueprint.

"The elemental dragon cores from Yino and Yano possess mutually canceling frequencies," Mooshito agreed, its tone rapidly accelerating with excitement. "The resonance of one actively nullifies the frequency of the other... You want to engineer a localized, energetic runic array, something structurally identical to Selthia’s ethereal dome, and you want to use our sovereign cores as a broadcast jammer to completely deactivate hers?"

A fierce, predatory smile stretched across Ren’s face beneath the high collar of his uniform.

"I genuinely thought you would have arrived at that conclusion first... When you didn’t proactively suggest it before I figured it out myself, I was actually a little surprised."

"No... It never once occurred to my brilliant mind to weaponize food in such a barbaric manner!" Mooshito protested, sounding both deeply indignant and profoundly impressed. "One hoards the sovereign cores so one can slowly devour them upon reaching the Diamond rank to facilitate evolution! You don’t use a primordial feast to... to build a damn jammer cage!"

A brief, warm silence blossomed in the link.

"You have evolved significantly without my constant micromanagement, Ren," the mushroom noted. "Perhaps my extended naps and inability to spoon-feed you every single answer actually served a pedagogical purpose. My absence forced you to analyze the board independently, discovering solutions I would never have personally engineered." The beast almost sounded like a proud father. "Making catastrophic errors is, in a very twisted way, occasionally beneficial..."
