Chapter 1247 - Taming the Old World - New Perspective - 4

Ren guided his royal hostage directly toward the bridge of the planetary Rift.

Standing right before that unfathomable abyss splitting the world, he initiated a lecture regarding the cosmic intelligence he had recently extracted from the ancient sanctuaries.

"Our world is physically fractured into four distinct quadrants," he stated softly. "That is not a poetic metaphor... The primordial sovereign dragons literally cleaved it apart eras ago, and what you are currently observing is supposedly one of those massive geological divisions. This chasm…"

He pointed downward into the deep darkness, directing her attention toward the profound depths where, far beyond standard visual range, impenetrable crystal of Diamond density and higher permanently barricaded the passages. That subterranean barrier grew exponentially denser the closer it approached the planetary core.

"The singular anchor holding this shattered planet together, and preventing it from drifting into oblivion, seems to be the colossal mana core forged after the sun dragon's strike. It is a crystalline heart resting at the absolute center of everything. During the data dump inside the ruins, I witnessed the blueprint of a three-dimensional geometric structure possessing exactly forty-two vertices. It has two of those toward us that send a mana vein push below the castles and the Ring Guardians, its architecture anchors the four disconnected quadrants of our world with those long crystal spikes and flows, functioning much like the reinforced spokes holding a carriage wheel together."

Lutea simply stared into the void, maintaining a profound silence.

"I am sharing this intelligence with you for a blatantly obvious reason," Ren continued.

"Absolutely no human possesses the power needed to reach the capacity to fracture a planet. None of us… There is no elite Tamer, no sovereign king, and no combined military force remotely approaching that caliber of catastrophic output today. This gaping wound is a testament to what a true primordial dragon can execute…"

"…Consequently, it then does not matter how incredibly elevated you believe your social standing to be. It matters very little how many gilded sitting rooms you command, or how much supposedly sacred royal blood flows through your veins; a true sovereign dragon is the actual, undisputed king of this biosphere. They are the only entities truly dictating the board. The rest of us, every single human alive, merely scrounges for survival down here, scavenging inside one of the mana-depleted cracks they may have carelessly left behind."

He allowed that chilling reality to fully settle into her aristocratic mind.

"This chasm is the undeniable proof. It is resting right in front of your eyes. A planetary scar that absolutely no mortal could ever carve, inflicted by cosmic beings who view us as infinitely smaller and more pathetic than how you currently view the common laborers of your own capital."

"Your husband intimately understood this terrifying reality. Even though he ultimately weaponized a fraction of their power to miraculously save the Vanguard, he had recognized that the borrowed ether was merely a microscopic glimpse of a dragon's true potential. He knew that small power was already vastly larger than himself," Ren said, his tone dropping into something noticeably softer.

"Dragarion successfully reconstructed this massive bridge spanning the abyss shortly before his sacrifice. However, I believe he did not engineer it because he believed himself superior to everyone else, despite what the sheer grandeur and indestructible density of the architecture might suggest. He orchestrated the construction for two highly specific reasons. The first objective was to decisively defeat the rival factions on the opposite shore, permanently ending a pointless civil war between humans when the true apocalyptic threat loomed elsewhere. The secondary objective was to finally reconnect the fractured populations he had been forced to separate."

Ren shifted his gaze back to the bottomless expanse.

"And my overarching tactical objective is exactly the same. I want to terminate the internal conflicts and reconnect our cities. Ultimately, my goal is to perhaps seal this wound entirely. I do not merely want to facilitate an easy crossing; I want to definitively close it. I intend to reunite the world those monsters tore apart one day. Keeping your citizens unified, strong and resilient is the genuine heavy lifting of a ruler, Your Grace. The actual work has absolutely nothing to do with posturing on a velvet throne."

Ren slowly turned his head to verify if Lutea was still actively processing the intelligence.

And he instantly registered that she was trembling uncontrollably.

It was likely not from just the chilling deep. It was pure, unadulterated terror from the geographical coordinate itself severely seeming to have traumatized her. The gaping Rift, the abyss, something buried within that dark void had triggered a visceral physical reaction that extended vastly beyond simple vertigo.

Ren scrutinized her micro-expressions with his best mana perception, and a crucial piece of psychological data finally clicked into place.

Lutea may have permanently barricaded herself inside the inner castle for a highly likely reason. The entire Vanguard knew she had retreated even deeper into her isolated corner following Dragarion's absence and subsequent crystalline sacrifice, but Ren was rapidly deducing that the grief was only a partial factor. There had to be an unknown variable connected directly to this chasm, something she had personally witnessed or endured near this precipice that genuinely paralyzed her mind to bring this level of a reaction.

Her rigid aristocratic pride prevented her from vocalizing the weakness. She was never going to confess to a lowly commoner that this place shattered her sanity, or that she fiercely preferred the stagnant illusion of her gilded halls precisely because it shielded her from gazing into the abyss that had stolen so much from her.

But she was shaking, and Ren clearly logged the undeniable evidence.

He processed the profound implication, even if he lacked the precise historical details.

And he made an immediate decision to cease the psychological torture.

He had not abducted the Queen to inflict cruel emotional damage. His sole objective was to force a cognitive paradigm shift. Now that the core logic was successfully delivered, explicitly proving that an apocalyptic threat eclipsed their petty human hierarchies, he gained absolutely zero advantage by forcing her to endure a panic attack right on the ledge of her deepest trauma.
