Weakest Beast Tamer Gets All SSS Dragons

Chapter 1246 - Taming the Old World - New Perspective - 3

Ren executed a flawless landing near a commercial transport hub.

He bypassed the enclosed carriages entirely and just rented a sturdy beast of burden. It made absolutely zero sense to plunge her right back into a dark, isolated box after forcibly dragging her outside; yet hauling the royal matriarch over his shoulder through the packed streets would have been completely impractical and deeply humiliating for both of them.

Very few citizens actually possessed the capacity to recognize her face… Lutea had spent decades locked away in her gilded corner, rendering her practically anonymous among the common populace. Nevertheless, she remained a sovereign figure, and carrying her like a sack of grain through a crowded metropolis was neither appropriate nor logistically sound.

The singular variable Ren completely failed to calculate was his own massive notoriety.

And that miscalculation became glaringly obvious the moment his boots hit the cobblestone.

The terrified stablemaster nearly handed over the rental beast completely free of charge the second he recognized the young Tamer, frantically stammering a chaotic speech about how it was a supreme honor to serve him.

Pedestrians on the street immediately paused to offer deep bows, respectfully murmuring "the Glorious General" as he marched past. And nobody, not a single tamer or patrolling guard, dared to ask a single question regarding the gagged, visibly furious woman he was casually parading around like a captured hostage. If the Glorious General was currently restraining an individual, the populace universally assumed his reasons were flawless...

The absolute trust Ren had forged with the citizens was so profoundly unbreakable that he was actively committing a royal kidnapping in broad daylight without triggering a single alarm.

Ren had grown somewhat accustomed to receiving overwhelming public gratitude for his numerous architectural, taming, logistical, educational and military contributions that directly impacted almost every single citizen, so he largely ignored the massive display of deference.

Lutea, however, absorbed the entire bizarre spectacle from atop the rented beast of burden. Silenced by her wooden muzzle, her facial expression began to undergo a slow, profound transformation as she watched her own subjects practically worship the commoner she despised.

Ren took the reins and guided the creature steadily through the packed avenues.

And as they navigated the crowd, he initiated the expected lesson.

"All of these people," he stated calmly, gesturing broadly toward the exhausted masses. "They are not just statistics on a royal ledger, nor are they a faceless mob. Every single one of them executes a critical function that keeps this territory breathing. The individuals who cultivate the soil, the laborers who reinforce the masonry, the porters carrying the logistics, the tailors, the cooks, the engineers."

He offered her a sharp side-glance. "Your isolated luxury, your pristine golden halls, your extravagant meals served on expensive porcelain; absolutely all of it exists exclusively because they bleed to provide it. Without this workforce, there is no castle... There is no queen and there is absolutely nothing left but empty rocks."

Lutea possessed zero capacity to formulate a retort through the thick vines clamped over her mouth. She was forced to listen, assuming she even wanted to process the data.

Ren deliberately guided her past the newly constructed architectural zones. He pointed out the reinforced watchtowers, vastly taller and structurally superior to the old models, forged using the optimized materials and advanced engineering techniques the passing people made sure it was clear he had personally introduced.

He drew her attention to the young, exhausted Tamers patrolling the streets. Many of these were teenagers born from absolute poverty, yet they were effortlessly projecting the auras of mid-tier and even high-tier Gold beasts, every single one of them more powerful than the creature she had attempted to summon earlier. He explained every specific advancement with measured patience, completely devoid of condescension, speaking exactly like an instructor who genuinely desired his student to grasp the lesson.

"Their assets are now superior to your Wood Wolverine, with all due respect." He paused, letting the harsh reality settle. "And we soon will be able to deploy thousands exactly like them. This is the actual, breathing world, Your Grace. It is nothing like the stagnant illusion you fabricated in your isolated corner, right?"

After a significant stretch of time navigating the urban sprawl, Ren brought the beast to a gentle halt.

"I am going to dismantle the gag," he informed her flatly. "However, if you start any screaming, if you launch into complaints, or if you demand anything from civilians who probably will not even recognize you, I will instantly reapply the roots. Are the conditions understood?"

Lutea locked eyes with him, silently running her own internal evaluations, and eventually offered a stiff, barely perceptible nod.

Ren dissolved the vines covering her lower face.

And the Queen Mother remained perfectly silent.

She certainly did not offer a word of gratitude, nor did she issue a frantic apology. Her aristocratic pride had absolutely not shattered that much yet… But crucially, she refrained from shouting.

She did not hurl a single venomous curse, and she completely stopped demanding to be returned to her quarters. She simply sat there in profound silence, staring blankly at the overwhelming tide of commoners that Ren insisted were the true pillars of her kingdom. Embedded within that quiet observation was a distinct frequency entirely separate from the blinding rage that had ignited her morning.

It was not a full surrender…

But it was, quite possibly, the very first small fracture in a psychological bubble that had spent decades hardening without a single challenge.

Ren explicitly chose not to press the advantage. He had provided her processing network with more than enough raw data to chew on for the moment.

He slowly redirected the beast of burden toward the absolute outskirts of the central district, leaving the suffocating density of the crowd behind them.

But there was still one final coordinate left on his itinerary. It was arguably the most critical destination of all if he truly wanted Lutea to comprehend the reality. It was vastly more important than the bustling civilians, the advanced architecture, or the breathtaking aerial view of the territory.

It was the sole underlying reason any of this civilization still existed. It was the absolute justification for the towering wall, the exhausted military forces, and a kingdom entirely structured around raw, unforgiving survival.

"We are going to one final location," Ren announced, angling the mount directly toward the absolute edge of their world.

Lutea offered zero verbal response.

But she also mounted absolutely no protest as Ren set a direct course straight for the rift.
