Werewolf Leveling: Building the Strongest Pack in the Apocalypse

Chapter 276: Something to tell you...

Chapter 276: Something to tell you...

I spent the next couple of minutes relaying the extent of my plans to Khalissi.

I even gave her a message to give to Persephone.

After I told her my plans, she sighed and shook her head.

"This plan is crazy. No, it’s insane. You’re the last person I thought would ever come up with a plan like this. But if you tell me you can do it, then I’ll believe in you."

I knew the plan was crazy and that to some it would seem completely suicidal.

I thought the same. It was suicidal, but before this wolf evolves into his true form, he’ll have to evolve into a cockroach first.

After telling my plans to Khalissi, I went out and relayed my plans to everyone.

When I told them I didn’t evolve, Sylvie, Kumo, Selthia, and even Isabella tried to comfort me.

They didn’t seem to care whether or not their alpha remained a weakling.

"Since I didn’t evolve at level 75, I’ll have to bide my time until I get to level 100. We want to do this as quickly as possible, so Khalissi will be leading our forces. She’ll be the one to organize assaults on various areas of the city," I explained.

"Just leave it to us, darling," Kumo was the first to speak. "We’ll make sure you evolve so you can sit back and wait until that happens."

Sylvie and Selthia agreed with Kumo and nodded along with what she said, but Isabella seemed to be thinking of something. Her eyes never left me.

"You won’t do that, won’t you? You’re not the type to sit around and do nothing," Isabella said.

I couldn’t help but smile at her assumption, which caused a vein to form on her forehead.

"You’re right, Isabella. While you all are taking over the city, I’ll be holding off Damian," I said.

"Wait, that can’t be," this time it was Selthia who spoke. "Won’t it take days to wipe out an entire city? You’ll be locked in constant combat with him."

"This is stupid!" Isabella snapped. "You can’t possibly fight for days without stopping for a second to even breath. Against Damian, no less. You want us to take over the city just so you can run off and kill yourself! I won’t let that happen, even if I have to drag you out of this city alive!"

Isabella? This was the first time I heard her raise her voice.

"Lee! Sylvie will fight with you."

What they wanted was impossible. It’s not a matter of whether I could survive fighting against Damian for days at a time without stopping. It didn’t matter if i could do it. I just had to. No matter what, I had to.

I couldn’t sit around and watch my pack be killed by Damian like Isabella wanted. And if I brought Sylvie into battle, more likely than not, I would end up having to protect her.

"You guys are making things harder," Selthia said. "He won’t die. He needs you both to be more supportive of him, instead of worried for his life."

Selthia’s words just barely stopped Isabella from bursting with anger and Sylvie from wrapping her arms around my neck and holding on for dear life.

Seeing how emotional the two were getting, I grabbed them by the hands and pulled them into the room Khalissi and I were in before.

It was best we spoke in private.

Isabella clenched her fists and looked as if she was going to tackle me if I ever tried holding off Damian on my own.

While Sylvie was the same, except her claws were out. The two were ready to stop me by force if it came down to it.

"Sylvie can’t lose Lee."

Seeing how much the two cared for me, I felt glad. They would fight against me just to protect me.

I have no intention of dying.

Seeing how worked up Sylvie was getting, I reached out and began petting her on the head, which caused the previous wild look in her eyes to soften.

"Lee..."

"Don’t fall for it, Sylvie! He’s just trying to manipulate you. If we let him leave, we might lose him forever!" Isabella shouted, which caused Sylvie’s eyes to sharpen as she slapped my hand from her head.

"Sylvie won’t let you go!"

It seemed I wouldn’t get off easily.

"Well, the reason I pulled you both here is so we can talk. Sylvie, Isabella, the both of you said you had something to tell me," I said.

The moment I brought up the matter of what they wanted to talk to me about, both their faces immediately went pale.

"I umm..."

"Now is not really the time..."

"Now is the perfect time for you to tell me all you need to tell me," I said. "The way things are looking, we may not get another chance like this."

Sylvie nodded her head, seemingly having made up her mind and Isabella couldn’t refute what I said. This could be the only chance she had to say what she wanted to say.

Both girls mumbled over their words before taking a deep breath and blurting out what they wanted to say.

"Sylvie has a baby in her tummy."

"I’m pregnant!"

"..."

For a moment, complete silence enveloped the room. Both girls turned to look at each other.

Sylvie seemed completely shocked by Isabella’s reveal.

Isabella, for whatever reason, looked guilty and held her head down in shame.

"I’m sorry, Sylvie; this is supposed to be your reveal. I ruined it. I know how much you wanted..."

"Leech!"

Before Isabella could finish her sentence, Sylvie appeared in front of her with sparkling eyes and took a hold of her hand.

"Does that mean the two of us will be having babies together?" Sylvie excitedly asked, while Isabella seemed taken aback by her excitement.

"Aren’t you angry?" Isabella asked.

Sylvie cocked her head to the side, looking at Isabella confused.

"Why would Sylvie be angry? Leech helped Sylvie when she found she had Lee’s baby in her tummy. Sylvie is happy and wants to help Leech too."

Seeing the two together, I approached them and hugged them both.

"Lee?"

"What are you doing?"

The two of them protested, but I hugged them tighter.

"The two of you just made me the happiest man on earth. That is why I have to do this. Dying is not an option. If you trust me, I will pull through."

"Sylvie and I can’t do this without you. We won’t," Isabella said, her voice trembling, and I could feel the tears from her eyes dampening my clothes.

I looked over at Sylvie, and she too was in tears. She was holding onto me as if she didn’t want this moment to end.

"Sylvie don’t want to lose you Lee."

I gave them both a reassuring smile and stroked their heads.

"Don’t worry, you won’t."
