Chapter 972: The Mestile House Special
Chapter 972: The Mestile House Special
I’m just going to say... They have really upped their game since the last time I saw them...
The ’house special’ was not just a single drink but an entire menu of drinks that they have arranged like some kind of full course sampling menu.
They were tossing bottles and shakers, sometimes juggling them in between each other and then making multiple drinks all at the same time.
Most of the drinks they made were designed to be enjoyed in shot glasses so I could just down them when they present it to me and get ready for the next shot.
The amount they made was way more than just a single shot glass’s worth of course and they would also make multiple shot glasses that would be delivered out to the other patrons of the club through the hidden panels on the counter.
I’m not sure how they decided who would receive the drinks but then I saw a flash of gold in one part of the club.
When I turned to look, I realised my girls were here and they were currently gathered in one of the booths in a corner of the club.
They caught my eye and raised the shot glasses they received in my direction, obviously enjoying the drinks and the atmosphere.
I raised my own glass towards them before tossing it back, emptying it into my mouth before swallowing it.
I felt a pleasant burn go down my throat and watched as Valiea started on the next drink, making use of all four of her arms as she used a pair to shake a mixer and another pair to pour out another mixer into several shot glasses.
She then picked up one of the shot glasses and brought it over to me, swapping out my empty glass for one that had a clear, blue liquid inside it.
She gave me a wink before returning back to her spot behind the counter to move the other shot glasses onto the panels that delivered the drinks to the other patrons before starting the next drink.
I knew this event was being streamed live so I brought out my Codex as well and navigated to the video streaming sight to look for their channel.
Sure enough, I could see the video where they were live streaming what was happening at the very top of the page and I was looking at a few trillion live viewers right now.
Even as I watched, the number still continued increasing at a rapid pace where it looked like it was crossing into the hundred trillion mark soon.
I looked back at the Valiea and Ragbar, both of them working out a synchronised pour on the counter while they balanced a few mixers on their arms to create a waterfall effect.
The drones zoomed in on them and showed off the flawless pour, the entire club holding their breath before erupting into a frenzied cheer when they completed the pour.
Ragbar was the one who came over to pass me the shot glass this time, shooting me a wide grin as he did so.
"Enjoying it so far, Tera?" He asked.
"Definitely. You two are amazing as always. Seems like you’ve even upped your standards by quite a bit, haven’t you?"
His grin then changed slightly and that sent a little shiver down my spine. Somehow, it felt as if he had something else planned which I may or may not like...
As though reading my mind, his grin widened and he took a step back right as Valiea came over to place another shot glass in front of me.
"These two are meant to be drunk together and these will be the last shots we’re making."
The way she said it sounded a little weird but... I decided not to think about it and took both shot glasses and downed them both in a single gulp, shivering from the alcohol sliding down my throat.
When I looked back at the married couple, I noted that both of them had a rather disconcerting smirk on their faces like they had just pulled off a prank.
Before I could even ask whether they had poisoned me, Ragbar turned to the drone camera and gave a rather theatrical bow.
"Patrons and viewers of the Mestile Rave Club! I hope that performance has been a delight for all of you! However! It is still not the end yet as we have something else planned for tonight!"
I have a bad feeling about this...
Both Ragbar and Valiea gestured their hands towards me, prompting the drones to shift and focus on me.
Ragbar turned to smirk at me, "Some of you may remember her! The only person to be able to beat Valiea in the art of mixing drinks!!"
A loud cheer echoed around the bar and surprisingly...
"Ohhhh!! It’s Tera!!!"
"That’s the white haired bartender!!"
"She’s back!!!"
"Yesssss!! She’s here!!"
"Teraaaaaa!!"
"Waahhhh! Teraaaa!! I love youuuu!!"
Ok, Amber... Don’t think I couldn’t recognise you shouting out the last one at the end, ok? I love you too, though.
Ragbar seemed to have expected such a reaction as he let out a laugh, "Yes! That’s right! It’s Tera! And since she’s here... Would you like to see her work the bar as well?!"
The bar erupted into an even louder cheer at his announcement, so much that I could actually feel the platform we were standing on vibrate.
Well... Honestly speaking... When I saw this bar on the platform, it looked really high tech with tons of different gadgets and drinks behind it. I was already thinking of asking them if they could let me have a go at it after the club closed afterwards...
But I was obviously not expecting them to suddenly make it into a spectacle like this...
I still sometimes have some fun with mixing back on my ship for the girls since they also like watching me perform... But if you’re going to ask me to do what these two did... Then there’s no way I can do it.
Hmm... Unless I cheat a little with my telekinesis of course~
Just in case... While Ragbar was still working the crowd, I sent a quick message through my Codex to Vier asking if it would be fine for me to do this.
She was quick to respond like she had already expected me to ask that question.
’Of course, I’m already expecting our follower count to jump up by at least three to five times because of this. Give us all a good show.’
Well, that’s all you had to say.
Ragbar turned to me, "What say you? Shall we?"
I grinned and put my Codex away to get up from the bar stool.
I nodded at him, "Make space."
Another cheer went up through the bar as I walked around the bar counter and stepped in between the couple, taking a moment to look at all the fancy controls the bar has.
"You need some guidance?" Valiea asked, her four arms folded in front of her.
I shook my head, "I’ll just learn as I go along. Point things out to me as I mix."
"Heh, confident, aren’t we? Though I suppose that’s to be expected of you."
I hummed as I finished checking out the bar to nod at her, "Let’s go then, call out the orders."
Valiea tapped a button on the counter and a screen popped up in front of the counter, listing out several drink orders that the patrons had already placed for us to make.
"I got the martinis and the mojitos," I called out, already pulling out the mixers and shakers to prepare the drinks.
The couple also started to move the moment they heard me, both of them most likely already having a system in place that they could use to decide what orders each of them made without needing to say anything.
I flared with them, juggling bottles up in the air and doing flips and other tricks that I’ve been taught by them.
I also snuck in some ’impossible’ tricks where I threw more bottles into the air and caught them easily to do a pour, a trick that I might have completely failed if it wasn’t because I used my telekinesis to alter their flight path to ensure I would definitely be able to catch them when they fell.
I even did one trick where I did a pour over my back without looking but it really was just me manipulating the liquid in the bottle to flow exactly how I wanted into the glass.
The cheers around the bar became louder and louder but all of it just became white noise to me as I got completely engrossed in the act of mixing the drinks, completing one order after the other.
My body was just moving on its own and I only needed to concentrate slightly on using my telekinesis to do my tricks, which I found to be quite exhilarating to do.
Yeah... This was definitely worth it.
