Chapter 803 - 19: Abyss Scholar and Alchemy Puppet
Chapter 803: Chapter 19: Abyss Scholar and Alchemy Puppet
"Interesting."
Reo laughed in rage, his cold killing intent almost tangible. He wasted no more words, his figure suddenly blurred, and launched an attack first!
He stepped forward only once, and the next second, his towering figure appeared like a ghost right in front of Lynch! His right fist clenched, wrapped in a visible dark red turbulent energy, like a volcano about to erupt, carrying the aura of utter destruction, it smashed toward Lynch’s face!
This punch was quick, ruthless, and accurate! Carries a killing intent that’s determined.
However, the expected crunch of bone and flesh did not come. This punch that was bound to hit surprisingly struck nothing! The violent punch wind tore through the air, making a piercing shriek, yet the fist merely grazed Lynch’s cheek, without touching a strand of his hair.
Reo’s pupils contracted slightly, and a hint of confusion flashed through his mind.
At such a close distance, with his speed and control over strength, there’s no reason for this punch to miss! Moreover, his fist under the enhancement of "Arrogant Domain", the accompanying turbulent power alone forms an invisible crushing force field, everything within a certain range should be swept in and torn apart!
Just look at the chapel below, half of it already collapsed into ruins under the overflow of his punch wind! But why is Lynch, who is so close, unharmed, not even having his clothes flutter wildly?
Despite the doubt in his heart, Reo’s battle instincts drove him to act again.
"Hah!"
He roared angrily, twin fists like a sudden storm, continuously smashed out, paths of dark red fist shadows almost completely enveloped Lynch’s surrounding space, each punch contained the horrific power to crack mountains and split rocks.
Yet the strange thing happened again—no matter how dense or how violent his attacks were, they were always just a hair’s breadth off, as if Lynch were a mere phantom reflection, each punch striking nothing, futilely tearing the air.
"Space Domain?!"
At this point, Reo finally belatedly sensed the abnormality in the surrounding space. This domain’s spatial structure was entirely different from usual, as if twisted and folded by an invisible and powerful force!
It was precisely this force that made the seemingly short distance between him and Lynch infinitely stretched and extended, forming an unseen chasm without end. He seemed to be attacking Lynch, but actually, his fist was always operating on another twisted space track, incapable of reaching Lynch’s body!
After figuring this out, Reo’s expression was instantly replaced by immense shock, he almost cried out, "You... you’ve actually advanced to the Domain Level too?!"
Lynch still hovered where he was, his demeanor leisurely, as though the tempestuous attack just now was nothing but a breeze. He regarded Reo’s shock with indifference, merely responded calmly and with a hint of derisive tone:
"Your reaction is somewhat sluggish. Why? Has that impure Power of Faith from the Church muddled your brain?"
These words were like sharp needles, fiercely stabbing Reo in his sore spot, his face instantly darkened, with a fury and killing intent in his eyes almost bursting out.
"Hmph! No matter what earth-shattering secret you hide, today, I will make you spit it all out, every single word!"
Reo’s voice, like the cold wind from the Abyss, was cruelly determined. He no longer rushed for close combat, but took heavy steps, pacing through the air toward Lynch one step at a time.
With each step he took, the dark red energy of the "Arrogant Domain" surged more violently, like a beast unshackled from all constraints, fully unleashed! The energy ripple filled with chaos and destructive will spread out like a tangible tide.
And under the influence of his unreservedly expanded Domain Power, the ordinary civilians in River Town below immediately suffered needless disaster.
The mind-corrupting turbulent force spread like a plague, many citizens’ eyes instantly filled with blood vessels, their reason replaced by primal ferocity, like frenzied beasts, began to fight, bite, and kill each other in streets and houses!
In an instant, cries, roars, and sounds of destruction replaced the previous dead silence, plunging the town into a self-slaughter Hell.
Lynch looked down at the chaos and tragedy rising below, his brow furrowed tightly.
Damn this guy!
Even though it was long known that Reo was someone who acts recklessly, uses any means to achieve his goals, with only his own objectives in view, devoid of enemy ally or innocent concept, seeing him wantonly using his Domain Power to ravage and twist the believers and citizens he theoretically "should protect", Lynch still felt a strong disgust.
Can’t let him run rampant in the town any longer.
Lynch’s mind raced, and he without hesitation pushed his own Space Domain to its extreme. The invisible Space Law was like threads at his fingertips, intricately plucked and twisted.
The next second, the surroundings suddenly blurred and changed! As if the entire world was forcibly pulled and replaced by an invisible giant hand. When the view cleared again, the two had moved from over River Town to a barren hill dozens of miles away, surrounded by jagged rocks and yellowed wild grass, without a soul in sight.
Reo was momentarily startled, then understood Lynch’s intent, giving out a sneering laugh:
"Ha! As a Wizard pursuing Truth and Power, can’t even maintain absolute rationality? You actually wasted your precious Spiritual Power and Domain Power on those ants you could easily crush?"
His scarlet eyes brimmed with disdain, his tone harsh:
"Why? Because you donned that cloak of the Lord of Emerald, you really believe yourself to be some philanthropic savior? Ridiculously laughable!"
Faced with this sharp mockery, Lynch merely shrugged indifferently, as if doing something trivial. He glanced around this sufficiently open battlefield, responding calmly:
"It’s just a bit of energy maintaining the Domain, twisting space, wasting a little doesn’t matter."
His gaze returned to Reo, beneath that calm was a kind of composure based on absolute strength and... a dispassionate division of belonging.
Since he has decided to intervene in this Ancient Ruins, everything on this land can already be seen as his private property, certainly no reason to let Reo destructively continue.
After a pause, he stated as though a factual and natural truth, a tone carrying a sense of matter-of-fact: "Besides, dealing with ants like you doesn’t require much Spiritual Power anyway."
Reo’s face flushed due to raging anger, the veins beneath his knotted muscles writhing like worms. Yet, before his fire-filled rebuke could be voiced, a voice with a metallic friction texture, rhythmical ups and downs like a mocking chant suddenly interjected:
"Oh my, who is this, with such a big mouth!"
The space rippled slightly, like a water surface disturbed by stones. Two figures appeared without warning on the barren hill, triangulating Reo, suggesting Lynch positioned in the middle.
On the left was a youth appearing fair-skinned, his skin faintly shimmering with a metallic gloss, with dense rivets seen connecting his cheek and neck, one hand composed of precise gears and metal components exposed.
On the right was a man shrouded under a wide black cloak, his face covered by an expressionless white mask.
Most strikingly, slouched on his cloak’s shoulder was a black, cluster, entwined with countless fine tendrils like a ball of yarn, at its core two faint glimmers resembling eyes, coldly watching the front.
Evidently, these were the other two among the former Seven Great Judges of Shadow Tower, the Abyss Scholar Saros and Alchemy Puppet Codinos!
