Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 672: Kidnapping

Chapter 672: Kidnapping

After a moment, he exhaled slowly and said, "If that’s your view... then why don’t you dismiss your own concubines first?"

Ian simply shrugged, completely unfazed.

"That’s different," he replied casually. "Men in power have always had multiple women. It’s tradition."

Robert did not argue further.

Meanwhile, their focus returned to the scene.

What they saw only reinforced their belief.

The closeness between Ivy and Wade... the lack of resistance... it all seemed real.

’So it’s true...’ Robert thought, his eyes narrowing slightly.

Just as he was about to signal Wade to return, the man turned back on his own, as if he had sensed their gaze.

When Wade returned to the car, there was a faint mark near the corner of his lips. He wiped it away casually, a satisfied grin lingering on his face.

Ian immediately gave him a thumbs-up, laughing lightly. "Impressive," he said. "You actually managed to win over someone like Ivy. That’s no small feat."

Wade waved his hand modestly, though the smugness in his expression betrayed him. "It’s nothing," he replied. "Just a matter of time."

Then he turned to Robert, his eyes gleaming. "So? Do you believe me now?"

Robert studied him for a moment before nodding slowly. "You can be trusted... for now," he said. "Let’s move forward with the plan."

Soon, the three of them gathered and finalized their strategy.

The plan itself was simple.

Wade would arrange a meeting with Ivy at a specific location. At the same time, he would inform Silas of that meeting...but with a crucial twist.

The time he gave Silas would be delayed by two hours.

By the time Silas arrived... everything would already be over.

The following day.

Wade approached Ivy calmly.

The moment he reached her, he didn’t hesitate.

He pulled her closer and kissed her again.

Ivy gasped softly, her body stiffening for a fraction of a second before she glared at him, her eyes sharp with irritation.

"Even if you’re playing your role," she muttered under her breath, "you should at least have some shame."

As if sensing her thoughts, Silas...still disguised as Wade...chuckled softly. He pulled back quickly, wiping her lips in a hurried manner.

"Sorry, sorry," he said with an exaggerated grin. "But I really love you. I want to marry you... properly."

Ivy blinked, slightly caught off guard.

She reached out and lightly pushed his head, her fingers brushing through his hair. "We’re already married," she replied dryly.

Silas shook his head immediately, his expression turning unexpectedly earnest. "No," he insisted. "I want to marry you again... properly. Like in those movies."

His voice softened, carrying a hint of warmth that felt almost out of place.

"I always imagined it," he continued, his gaze distant for a moment. "

A grand wedding... surrounded by people who truly care about you. Rose petals falling as you walk down the aisle... everyone watching you with admiration..."

That scene would have been truly romantic...almost like something out of a dream...if not for the harsh reality surrounding them.

In another life, in another time, untouched by chaos, they might have chosen one of the most luxurious locations on Earth, standing beneath golden chandeliers or endless skies as they exchanged vows.

It was the kind of wedding Silas wanted.

’I would have given her everything... the best of everything,’ he thought quietly, a faint ache stirring in his chest.

But the apocalypse had stripped all of that away.

Their marriage had been rushed, devoid of celebration, bound more by urgency than choice.

He inhaled deeply, steadying himself.

"Silas..." her voice pulled him back to reality. "They are moving."

Silas blinked, snapping out of his reverie.

His eyes flashed with a cold glint as he straightened his posture.

"Good," he said. "Then it’s time for us to make our move as well."

Ivy gave a small nod before turning and leaving.

Moments later, Ian and Robert arrived near the base.

Ian let out a low chuckle, glancing at Robert. "So... when is Silas arriving?"

Robert checked the time, his expression focused. "Any second now."

Both of them moved quickly, attempting to conceal themselves.

They positioned themselves near a wall, but the moment they approached, an invisible force stopped them.

Ian clicked his tongue in irritation. "Damn... we can’t get any closer than this."

They were forced to maintain a distance of nearly ten meters, hiding among the trees and shadows instead.

Then... a figure appeared in the distance.

A man walked toward the location, his posture familiar, his build unmistakable.

Silas.

Excitement immediately flashed across both Ian and Robert’s eyes.

They held their breath, waiting.

Moments later, another figure approached...Wade.

What happened next unfolded so quickly that it almost felt unreal.

Wade struck. Silas collapsed.

Ian’s eyes widened in disbelief, his lips curling into a grin. "He actually did it..." he whispered, barely containing his excitement.

Robert’s gaze sharpened, but even he couldn’t deny the thrill of the moment. ’A newcomer... and yet he succeeded where others failed,’ he thought.

They quickly moved forward.

When they reached the spot, Wade was struggling to carry Silas’s body, his breathing slightly heavy, his movements strained.

"Help him," Ian muttered.

Both Ian and Robert stepped in, lifting the unconscious man. Silas’s head hung limply, his face partially obscured, but his physique matched perfectly.

’It’s him... it has to be him,’ Robert concluded silently.

Without wasting time, they carried him back to the car.

The ride back was filled with a tense excitement.

Neither Ian nor Robert dared to sit in the passenger seat...they kept their eyes fixed on the unconscious figure, as though afraid he might suddenly disappear.

"Drive," Ian told Wade firmly.

Wade nodded obediently.

Once they arrived at Talon Base, they wasted no time.

Silas was dragged into a random room, his body roughly placed onto the bed.

Ian and Robert exchanged a glance, both of them unable to hide the satisfaction in their expressions.

"So... this is it," Ian muttered. "With him in our hands... Ivy will follow."
