Hearing those words, Ivy narrowed her eyes. “Are you the one behind Ember’s child’s kidnapping?”
Tammy let out a soft chuckle. “What’s the rush? How about we sit down and talk first?”
As she spoke, she casually glanced toward Coco. Coco immediately understood.
She picked up a glass of water and extended it toward Ivy. “Here. Drink this. You’ll feel better afterward.”
Ivy ignored the glass entirely and kept staring at Tammy. “What are your conditions?”
Tammy leaned back in her chair.
“Drink the water first. Otherwise, you can forget about any negotiations.”
Although Ivy hated being ordered around, she eventually took the glass.
After drinking it, she placed it back on the table and looked at Tammy impatiently. “Now talk.”
Tammy smiled. “Very simple. Your nephew is currently with us. If you cooperate, he’ll be returned safely. If not…”
Her voice trailed off as she exchanged a glance with Coco.
The threat was obvious.
The moment Ivy heard it, her fists tightened so hard that her nails dug into her palms.
Anyone who knew her could see how protective she was of her family.
For a brief moment, both Tammy and Coco felt a flicker of regret.
However, it disappeared almost immediately.
Tammy laughed.
“Oh? Are you angry? Then go ahead and do something. I want to see what you’re capable of.”
Ivy took a deep breath and forcibly suppressed the rage threatening to erupt inside her.
Before she could respond, Nanami suddenly spoke. His calm voice echoed throughout the room.
“How about this?”
Everyone turned toward him. Nanami looked directly at Ivy.
“You hand over your body willingly, and we won’t turn your soul into a slave.”
The moment those words left his mouth, the entire room fell silent. Even Ivy was stunned.
She never imagined Nanami would go so far just to preserve his position.
Meanwhile, Tammy’s eyes lit up. As long as she could obtain Ivy’s body, everything else could wait.

When Silas brought the child back, Ember nearly collapsed from relief.
Tears streamed down her face as she rushed forward and embraced her baby tightly.
“Thank you… thank you so much…”
Her voice trembled violently.
Ivy stood nearby and quietly asked, “Did they hurt the child?”
Ember immediately shook her head. “No.”
Hearing that answer, Ivy finally released the breath she had been holding.
“They agreed to my negotiation. The baby was returned safely.”
The moment Ember heard those words, the enormous weight crushing her heart finally disappeared.
Unable to hold back any longer, she threw her arms around Ivy.
“Thank you. Thank you so much.”
As she spoke, sobs escaped her lips.
Meanwhile, everyone else felt that something wasn’t right.
Especially Silas. Later, after finding an opportunity to speak with Ivy alone, he finally confronted her.
“You’re hiding something, aren’t you?”
His gaze sharpened. “What is it?”
Ivy smiled faintly. “There is indeed a problem.”
Silas immediately frowned. “What happened?”
Ivy looked away.
“Tammy wants the blueprints for all the weapons and defensive equipment I used during the war.”
Silas’s expression darkened.
“But that’s… “
“There is more.”
Ivy interrupted him gently.
“The weapons aren’t the real issue. Most likely, they’ll continue demanding more and more resources.”
As she spoke, exhaustion became visible in her eyes.
For the first time in a long while, she looked completely lost.
Seeing that expression, Silas stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her.
“Don’t overthink it.”
His voice was soft. “We’ll find a solution.”
Hearing those words, Ivy slowly nodded.
The next day, she gathered several items she had accumulated over the months and called Silas over.
When he arrived, she began handing everything to him. At first, Silas was confused.

“Why are you giving me all of this?”
Ivy simply smiled.

For the first time, he truly understood why so many people coveted everything Ivy possessed.
Silas wasn’t the only one who had received these items. There were also Ivy’s siblings.
When Kael arrived, Ivy smiled, “Brother, you look happy.”
“Yes, everything is progressing in a good direction.”
“Hm… brother, you will take care of father and mother, in case something happens to any of us other siblings?” Ivy questioned.
Kael’s expression turned serious. “Ivy, are you hiding something from us?”
“I wasn’t talking about myself.” Ivy rolled her eyes.
She joked with him to lighten his mood.
Finally, Ivy handed him a small bronze key.
“With this key, you can open one of the vaults owned by the Blackthorn Family. My father-in-law gave it to me personally. That day, he told me that this key unlocks a treasure vault filled with priceless resources. Remember that.”
Hearing those words, Kael immediately pushed it away and stopped her.
After a long moment, he looked directly into Ivy’s eyes. “What kind of negotiation happened between you and them?”
His voice was unusually serious. “Did you truly agree to give up your life?”
Ivy chuckled softly. The smile on her face was calm, almost carefree. “Do I look like someone who would do that?”
Although she sounded relaxed, Kael wasn’t convinced.
His fists tightened. “Then why are you handing all of this to me?”
This time, Ivy’s expression turned serious. The smile completely disappeared from her face. “Then I won’t hide it from you anymore.”
A faint sigh escaped her lips. “I already questioned Nanami. According to him, Coco and Tammy are planning to seize all of my assets and use them during the upcoming war.”
