Chapter 814: Worried Moona And Maxi

Chapter 814: Chapter 814: Worried Moona And Maxi

Edeline did not stop. Angel’s eyes immediately filled with tears. She collapsed onto her knees and began sobbing.

“What did I even do wrong? I only liked a man. That was my mistake.”

As she said those words, Angel genuinely began to feel wronged, as though she had somehow become the victim of the entire situation.

Meanwhile, Jackson, who was locked up nearby, heard her crying and looked at her with undisguised disdain.

“Bitch, you truly know how to keep yourself clean, do you not? You were the one who came up with that rotten idea in the first place.”

Angel became furious when she heard Jackson’s constant shouting. For a moment, she almost had the urge to slap him across the face.

‘It was him who went along with the plan. He was much older than me, and he should have stopped me or guided me properly. Instead, he agreed to everything and then let me take all the blame.’

The more she thought about it, the more furious she became.

“It is all your fault. If you had behaved properly and rejected me from the beginning, I would not be here!”

Jackson was so angry that he actually laughed, the sound carrying a bitter edge.

“You bitch, I have spent years gaslighting other people, and now you are trying to gaslight me? Just wait and see what I do once I get out of here.”

Angel’s body began to tremble.

For the first time, she truly understood how helpless her situation was. She had lost her mother, her freedom, and any influence she once possessed, leaving her trapped behind cold metal bars with nowhere to turn.

While all of this chaos was unfolding, Ivy and Silas were having their final dinner with their family members.

The atmosphere around the dining table was heavy, and the usual warmth of the family gathering had disappeared.

Everyone ate quietly, their expressions filled with reluctance and sadness.

Helena and Victor were especially emotional. Tears continuously rolled down their faces, and despite their attempts to control themselves, neither of them could stop crying.

After all, they had only found their daughter again after so many years, and even during the short year they had been able to spend together, they had barely gotten enough time to truly know her.

Now, she had to leave them again. ‘What kind of cruel fate is this?’

Perhaps this was fate’s way of reminding them that even if they had stolen a few precious years of life for Ivy, they were never destined to enjoy those years peacefully.

The thought made the older couple sob even harder.

Ivy was also becoming emotional as she watched them cry. Her chest felt tight, and she quietly looked away before Silas started to speak with a solemn expression.

“In-laws, please calm down. If you continue crying like this, Ivy will not be able to sleep properly, not to mention that you will make her worry about your condition. During this time, if she becomes too upset or emotional, it might affect her health.”

Helena and Victor finally wiped away their tears and tried to compose themselves.

Ivy sighed softly and looked at her parents.

“Mother, Father, do not worry. I will definitely return soon, and I will make sure to bring all of you to Planet Astra.”

As she said those words, she smiled gently at them, but no one was really in the mood to appreciate her attempt at reassurance.

Kael took a deep breath and looked at Ivy.

“Ivy, if you encounter any difficulty there, you can…”

His voice trailed off.

His usual catchphrase had always been, “If you encounter any problem, just call your brother for help.”

But this time, he could not bring himself to say it.

Ivy was going to a distant planet, far beyond their reach.

Even if someone bullied her there, what could he possibly do from Earth?

The realization caused a complicated expression to flicker across his face, and he quietly lowered his gaze.

Meanwhile, Ember glanced at her sister with concern.

“Ivy, I think you are rushing into things. That Nanami has not even been tested properly, yet you are still thinking about leaving with him.”

Ivy waved her hand casually.

“Do not worry about it. I have already done some research. We will not end up suffering because of him.”

Talia frowned and shook her head.

“I still think there is some kind of catch. I truly do not understand what the two of you are thinking. That person is definitely an enemy to both of you, yet you are still enabling him and allowing your security to be placed in his hands. You are practically putting yourselves in danger.”

Ivy did not say much. She merely remained calm, her expression giving away very little.

“Do not worry. We will not make any foolish decisions.”

While they were still having their conversation, someone knocked on the door of their apartment.

The sudden sound immediately made everyone exchange glances. At this hour, anyone arriving unexpectedly was bound to be suspicious, especially considering everything that had happened recently.

Ember immediately stood up and walked toward the door. She carefully opened it, only to see Moona and Maxi standing outside.

She immediately breathed a sigh of relief. “Oh, it is the two of you. Moona and Maxi.”

On the other hand, Moona and Maxi looked both irritated and emotional. The moment they saw Ivy, they quickly marched toward her.

“Why did you not tell us?”

Ivy paused, looking at them with confusion. “Tell you what?”

Moona and Maxi laughed in anger. “Tell us that you were leaving and taking away all the superior beings except us.”

Ivy smiled faintly. “Even if I had told you, what difference would it have made?”

Moona and Maxi were completely stunned by her nonchalant attitude. They exchanged glances, unable to understand why Ivy seemed so indifferent.

‘Did we do something that made Ivy upset with us?’

Moona especially became nervous. She stepped closer to Ivy and carefully asked, “Ivy, if we did something wrong, just tell us. We will apologize.”

Ivy shook her head. “You did not do anything wrong. Besides, after dinner, I was already planning to look for both of you.”

Hearing those words, Moona and Maxi gave a faint nod. Although they still looked dissatisfied, they decided to leave for the time being.

Once they had completely left, the family continued their dinner without bringing up the matter again.

After the dinner was over, Ember quietly walked toward Ivy and handed her a small box.

Ivy opened it and found a beautiful pair of earrings inside. Ember looked at her with a deep smile that was filled with sorrow.

“This was the first gift I ever bought for you with my own money, Ivy. It was supposed to be your first birthday present from me, but I could not give it to you at the time. So please keep it with you.”

Ivy’s eyes became slightly moist. She gently touched the earrings before nodding. “All right. I understand.”

Soon afterward, Kael and Felix arrived as well, each carrying a small gift.

Felix had brought her a set of clothes. He looked particularly proud as he handed them over.

“I personally designed these clothes. I even drew the design myself before having them made.”

Meanwhile, Kael had brought Ivy a scarf that he had personally knitted.

Ivy looked at the gifts in surprise. Honestly, she was rather impressed that both of them were so skilled in these areas.

‘Then again, being in a relationship really does seem to grant people all kinds of abilities. They almost become invincible after learning to take care of each other.’

Just as she thought this, Moona and Maxi arrived at her apartment.

The two of them entered and sat down on the sofa one after another. When Ivy saw their exaggeratedly pouty expressions, she could not help but mutter under her breath.

“You two truly do not know how to hide your emotions, do you?”

She then looked at them calmly. “All right, let us discuss this properly.”

That night, after their discussion finally ended, Moona and Maxi left with extremely grim expressions.

They had never realized that being left behind would hold such great significance for Ivy. For a moment, they even wondered whether they had severely underestimated their own importance in Ivy’s heart.

‘Perhaps we truly misunderstood how much she values us.’

When it was finally time to board Nanami’s spaceship, none of Ivy’s family members came to bid her farewell. Silas’s family did not come either.
