Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 828: Skin Ball

Chapter 828: Chapter 828: Skin Ball

“So, as long as we start a herbal factory or some kind of food chain, there is a high chance that we will eventually attract the attention of premium clients, especially wealthy nobles who are willing to pay a great deal for good food. Once we establish contact with them and they become addicted to our food, we can use it to lure them toward us and eventually find a way to reach Princess Catherine.”

Jade frowned thoughtfully.

“What is the feasibility of this plan?”

Ivy quickly replied, “This idea was actually proposed by my Temporal Storage. It told me that there is a high chance the superior beings would do almost anything for even a small amount of delicious food because they value it greatly.”

Jade narrowed his eyes.

“If that is true, then this plan could work quite well, and we would be able to proceed much more easily. However, if the situation is different from what we expect, that could become a problem. We need a backup plan as well.”

Silas spoke up. “The backup plan I have thought about is infiltrating the higher ranks of the upper echelons.”

Jade immediately shook his head. “That might be difficult because they already know what we look like.”

Hearing that, Silas chuckled. “Since when have we ever cared about our faces?”

With that, he took out several skin balls. Everyone stared at them with their mouths hanging open.

Indeed, why had they even been worrying about their appearances?

They already had skin balls that could completely change their appearances whenever they wanted.

One by one, everyone took a skin ball and transformed their faces.

However, to make certain that they would not be recognized by their hair, they also dyed their hair silver.

The dye was something Ivy had specially taken from the Temporal Storage because she had not brought any hair dye with her.

She had even considered using her supplies picking superpower to produce it, but recently, she had been thinking of using her abilities for something completely different.

Instead, she had started generating nutritional products that could help a woman maintain a safe pregnancy.

She had also tried to collect as many baby products as possible.

Although she already had plenty of baby supplies stored inside the Temporal Storage, she was constantly worried about using them.

‘What if something happens and I run out of supplies when the baby is born?’

Therefore, Ivy kept collecting as many baby products as she could, leaving large quantities behind in Silas’s Temporal Storage.

‘If my child doesn’t have me by his side at least Silas would be there; with these, he can easily raise my child.’

Once everyone had finished changing their appearances, they looked at one another.

Their transformations were so complete that each person almost felt as though they were looking at a stranger rather than someone they had known for a long time.

Bella looked around at everyone with wide eyes.

“Holy shit, what is going on? Why do I suddenly feel as though I am surrounded by superior beings? I am actually starting to feel scared.”

Hearing those words, everyone burst into laughter.

Ivy chuckled as well. “Do not worry. I am absolutely certain that there is not a single genuine superior being among us.”

Her words only made everyone laugh harder. After a moment, Bella suddenly paused. “Wait a minute. I have noticed something very strange.”

Everyone immediately looked at her.

Bella continued, “While I was collecting reports, I happened to come across someone who was like us.”

The laughter instantly disappeared. Everyone turned their attention toward Bella.

She continued speaking.

“Not only that, but I think there are multiple hybrids like us scattered throughout this world. However, for some reason, they are never given high positions. Most of them are looked down upon.”

Her expression became serious. “What they possess is considered useless. Hybrids like us are often called weak and incapable. I have even seen a hybrid like us being abused.”

Bella paused before warning them. “So, if possible, do not reveal the fact that you are hybrids.”

Ivy frowned. “Wait a minute. Do they have any way of determining whether someone is a hybrid?”

Bella nodded.

“They have a strange crystal ball. As long as someone places their hand on it, their blood compatibility is revealed. If the compatibility is below forty percent, it clearly indicates that the person is most likely a hybrid or carries the bloodline of a hybrid.”

Ivy’s brows furrowed.

“So all hybrids should have low blood compatibility. But Nanami told me that my compatibility is much higher than that of all the other princesses.”

Jade nodded thoughtfully. “Maybe there is more to this than we currently understand.”

Hearing that, everyone nodded.

After dinner, they stayed together for quite some time, continuing to discuss their plans and the information they had gathered.

Meanwhile, Princess Rayami was becoming increasingly furious.

Within just two days, the entire group had seemingly vanished from the world. There was no trace of them anywhere.

What made the situation even more troubling was the possibility that someone among them possessed a teleportation ability.

Not only could that person teleport, but their ability was powerful enough to transport several people at once.

Rayami had even ordered someone to investigate the hover car they had used. However, the hover car itself seemed almost like a scam.

It had no license plate, no registration records, and had completely disappeared as well. Rayami’s anger finally reached its limit.

She looked at Alex, who was kneeling before her, picked up a cup, and threw it directly at his forehead.

“You bastard! I told you to manage one simple matter, and you could not even handle that properly!”

The cup struck Alex’s forehead before falling onto the floor. Alex did not say anything.

He still remembered what had happened when he returned to the gate.

The guard had immediately stood up and saluted him. “Mr. Alex.”

However, the guard had then paused, looking deeply confused. “You just left, did you not? Why have you already returned?”

Alex frowned. “Are you an idiot? I left two or three hours ago. How can you say that I just left?”

Hearing that, the guard scratched his forehead in confusion. “How can that be possible? I just saw you leaving in a hover car.”

The moment those words were spoken, both Alex and the guard understood what had happened.

They immediately rushed after the hover car. Unfortunately, it was already long gone.

Afraid that he would face an even harsher punishment, Alex reported the entire incident to Rayami.

He also continued searching everywhere he could think of.

He searched the markets, the mountains, the surrounding roads, and every other place where the group might have gone.

Yet it was as though the humans had simply vanished from the surface of the planet.

With no other choice, he returned to the palace, knelt before Rayami, and prepared himself to accept whatever punishment she decided to give him.

When Rayami heard his report, she cursed angrily.

“What is the use of having you around? If you cannot even complete such a basic task for me, then get out. I do not want to see you right now.”

Alex lowered his head and quietly left.

Once he had completely disappeared from the room, Rayami slowly sat down.

Her fingers slipped through her hair as frustration tightened every muscle in her face.

“Stupid, stupid, stupid. Everyone is stupid. Cannot they just take care of themselves properly?”

She continued muttering under her breath until a knock suddenly sounded against the door.

A strong voice came from outside.

“Princess Rayami, please keep your voice down. If you continue behaving as though you have lost even the last shred of your sanity, you will be no different from an animal.”

The woman who spoke those words entered the room.

She wore a beautiful gradient-blue gown, and her long silver hair flowed gracefully down her back. Her features were so elegant and ethereal that she looked like a princess from a painting.

Anyone who saw her gentle expression would probably feel comforted, almost as though they were standing before a kind and loving mother.

But Rayami knew better.

She had been raised under this woman’s watch.

She knew that beneath that gentle smile was someone cruel through and through.

Rayami immediately lowered her gaze.

“I understand. Please forgive me for my rude behavior.”

The woman chuckled softly.

“Do you truly think that simply apologizing will allow you to escape punishment?”
