Chapter 852: Supplies Picking Power
Chapter 852: Chapter 852: Supplies Picking Power
Ivy nodded and began opening the treasure chests one after another. To her surprise, every single chest was either gold-level or diamond-level, and the rewards inside were far beyond anything Valer had received.
Valer gritted his teeth as he watched her open the chests, his heart aching with envy.
He wanted to cry at that very moment because his cousin had received such magnificent treasures, while he had been given only five wooden chests.
‘How is this even fair? Why does she get such incredible rewards while I have to struggle with a handful of wooden boxes?’
The difference was so outrageous that he could hardly accept it. If this wasn’t the ultimate form of favoritism, then what was?
Meanwhile, Ivy continued opening her chests without paying much attention to Valer’s complicated expression.
As expected, she obtained a blueprint for a production house, along with all the materials necessary to construct it.
She also received a weapons blueprint and every item required to manufacture the corresponding weapons.
The rewards seemed almost endless, and the more chests she opened, the more resources accumulated around her.
Within the next half an hour, Ivy had accomplished something that would have seemed impossible to most players.
She had constructed an entire castle, established a production house, recruited laborers, and even assembled an army of her own.
The once-barren landscape had become a thriving stronghold, with sturdy walls, organized facilities, and soldiers ready to follow her commands.
When Valer witnessed the transformation, he was left speechless.
He stared at the magnificent castle for several seconds before abruptly rushing towards Ivy and wrapping his arms around her.
“Cousin, you are truly my golden thigh! Please, let me hug you properly while I still have the chance, because I’m afraid someone might take you away from me soon!”
Ivy couldn’t help laughing at his exaggerated reaction.
She gently pushed against his shoulder and shook her head in amusement.
“You don’t need to act like this. I’m still the same person I was a few minutes ago.”
Valer, however, shook his head with an unusually serious expression.
His gaze shifted towards the castle and the enormous collection of resources surrounding it, and his voice became filled with anticipation.
“With everything you’ve built in such a short time, I think you’ll soon receive the special reward, the legendary reward that everyone says contains an enormous amount of gold supplies. Who knows, perhaps you’ll even be able to bring some of the items from this game into the real world. You’re incredibly lucky, Ivy!”
Although he spoke enthusiastically, a flicker of envy crossed his eyes as he looked at the treasures she had accumulated.
He couldn’t help imagining what his own life would be like if he had received even a fraction of her rewards.
Ivy rolled her eyes at his dramatic praise, but before she could respond, the familiar sound of a system notification rang through the air.
[Congratulations! You have successfully constructed a castle, established an army, and completed all the required objectives in the shortest recorded time. You are the first player to achieve these accomplishments within such a limited period. As a reward, you will receive a special title along with…]
The announcement abruptly stopped, leaving another frustrating silence.
Ivy raised an eyebrow as she waited for the rest of the reward details, but the system remained quiet.
Instead, a second card materialized before her eyes.
Unlike the previous golden card, this one was entirely black. Its smooth surface seemed to absorb the surrounding light, giving it an unusually mysterious appearance.
Ivy frowned as she examined it before turning towards Valer.
“Do you know anything about this card?”
As she spoke, she showed him both the golden card and the newly appeared black card, hoping that he might recognize them.
Valer studied the two cards carefully, his brows drawing together as he tried to recall whether he had ever encountered anything similar.
After a moment, he shook his head helplessly.
“Honestly, I have no idea what these cards are. I’ve never heard of anything like them before.”
Ivy sighed softly and slipped the cards away for the time being.
“It looks like I’ll have to ask Catherine about them later.”
Before Valer could respond, a notification suddenly sounded from his smart chip.
The familiar chime immediately caught his attention, and he hurriedly opened the display to check the message.
The moment he saw the information on the screen, his eyes widened in disbelief.
His ranking had increased dramatically, and he had finally entered the top three.
For a few seconds, Valer simply stared at the display as though he feared the numbers might change if he blinked.
Then, the realization finally sank in, and his face lit up with unrestrained excitement.
“Finally! I’ve finally escaped that miserable ranking and made it into the top three!”
He jumped in happiness, nearly forgetting everything else around him.
However, when he turned towards Ivy with the intention of celebrating together, she interrupted him before he could say another word.
“Is there any way for us to reach the first rank?”
Valer’s excitement faltered as he looked at her in surprise.
His brows gradually furrowed, and he shook his head as though she had just suggested something completely unreasonable.
“Just give up on that idea. You might not know this, but reaching the first rank requires an enormous amount of resources. If you had entered the game much earlier, you might have had a chance, but at this point, it’s practically impossible. There is only one hour left before the ranking closes!”
He spoke with complete certainty, convinced that Ivy’s ambition was simply too unrealistic.
Even with her astonishing resources, overtaking the first-ranked player within an hour would be an almost impossible task.
However, Ivy showed no intention of giving up. She looked at him calmly, her expression carrying a confidence that made it difficult for him to dismiss her words entirely.
“I believe my power is more than enough to accomplish that. Just tell me what supplies you need, and I might be able to produce them for you.”
Valer stared at her, his earlier skepticism giving way to cautious hope.
“Really? You can actually produce whatever supplies I need?”
Ivy nodded without hesitation.
“Of course.”
Valer’s eyes immediately brightened, and he began thinking furiously about what he could ask her to provide.
He had barely opened his mouth to explain what he needed when Ivy suddenly snapped her fingers.
In the next instant, countless resources began pouring down from the sky.
Chocolates, construction materials, even musical instruments.
It was as though an invisible hand had opened the gates to an endless warehouse, allowing its contents to spill freely into the world.
This was the true extent of Ivy’s supply-related superpower, an ability that had already reached its maximum level.
She could create illusions if she wished, but she could also produce actual, tangible substances that could be touched and used.
The distinction between illusion and reality was no longer as simple as it had once been, and even Ivy herself had yet to discover the full extent of what she could accomplish.
When Valer saw the enormous pile of supplies, he froze in place.
His eyes shone with such intense admiration that it almost seemed as though he were looking at a goddess who had descended from the heavens to rescue him.
“Cousin, you truly are the help sent by God!”
“Perhaps God saw how pitiful I was and decided to send you to save me!”
With that, Valer began to cry dramatically, wiping away imaginary tears as though he had just experienced the greatest tragedy of his life.
However, his sorrow didn’t last long, and he soon turned towards Ivy with renewed enthusiasm, his eyes shining with anticipation.
“Cousin, can you produce blueprints as well?”
Ivy looked at him for a moment before replying, “I can try.”
She closed her eyes and concentrated, attempting to use her superpower to summon existing blueprints. She began with blueprints for furniture, hoping that her ability would respond to her request.
The next moment, countless blueprints began raining down from the sky, fluttering through the air like sheets of paper caught in a powerful gust of wind.
Valer blinked several times, hardly believing his eyes.
Then, as though afraid the precious blueprints might disappear if he didn’t act quickly enough, he rushed forward and began gathering them with astonishing speed.
By the time he had finished, his arms were full, and his face was practically glowing with satisfaction.
