The task of fixing the road was given to Su Ruanyi and Zhang Yuan. While Zhang Yuan’s level was high, he did not plan to do everything by himself. So, he would pull her to fix the road while the members killed zombies.

At this moment, she was using the debris and hard soil on the road and roadside to fill a huge pit in the middle of the road. As for Zhang Yuan, he was busy dismantling an abandoned house and using the materials to repair the cracks on the road.

While repairing the road, he did not forget to turn to his members and say, "You all should restrain your power a little bit. Do not damage the road."

Hearing this, the members laughed and used their weapons to chop off the zombies’ heads instead of using their abilities.

Even though using abilities was faster, the damage to the surroundings was too much. So, unless necessary, they would use weapons to minimize the damage.

When the Phantom Team reached the train station, the sky had changed color, and the sun had slanted to the west.

Standing outside the train station’s closed metal gates, Qin Luzi checked his map for a moment before he said, "Captain, there are no zombies in this area. But there are a lot of people inside."

After a moment of pause, he continued, "There are around one hundred ability-users and more than three thousand ordinary people."

Hearing this, the members were taken aback. "Captain, is there a possibility that this train station is one of the survivor camps in this city?" Yin Yusheng muttered.

Jin Xuyan nodded and said, "With the number of people inside, this might be the highest possibility."

"Captain, should we go in?" Zhang Yuan asked.

"Let us go and have a look."

The members nodded and jumped over the metal gates.

After what happened in the Capital, they no longer believed that other camps or bases would be as good as the Lin’an City Base. Unless they saw the situation with their own eyes, they would not believe any rumors or news about how good a base was.

Soon after they entered the train station’s area, several people hiding in the dark changed their expressions.

One of them who hid near the entrance narrowed his eyes and observed them for a while. Then, he took out a walkie-talkie from his pocket and pressed a button. "Captain, a group of twenty-four people entered our base’s vicinity. They are moving towards the base’s entrance."

Not long after, a woman’s voice was heard coming from the walkie-talkie. "Roger that. Do not engage in unnecessary battles."

"Understood."

While they were exchanging information, Qin Luzi said, "Captain, there are a total of seven ability-users hiding across the area in a radius of ten kilometers. They should be level-one ability-users."

"If they did not attack us, just let them be," Jin Xuyan said calmly.

The Phantom Team walked toward the entrance of the main building directly. Along their twenty-minute walk across the parking lot, the group of ability-users continued relaying messages to their Captain.

When they finally arrived at the main building’s entrance, they saw a group of people standing on the other side of the metal door. Unlike the metal gate outside, this building had three layers of doors.

The first layer was a rolling door made of metal. The second layer was several metal rods made into a gate, and the last layer was a door made of thick tempered glass.

At this moment, the first layer had been opened, leaving only the glass door and the metal rods. When facing zombies, these kinds of doors were more than enough to stop them from entering. Unless they met with a level-two zombie, it was more than enough.

But they were now facing a group of people who were not only able to use weapons and abilities, but also had brains. Even if they blocked them outside, if they wanted to enter, they would find a way. Therefore, to avoid damaging the entrance, they did not want unnecessary confrontation.

After a long silence, a woman in her thirties finally broke the silence. "Comrade, what are your intentions in coming here?" she asked while observing the Phantom Team.

Judging from their clothes, she was sure that these people were not to be taken lightly. In the apocalypse, those who were able to wear neat and clean clothes were never simple.

What was more, their complexion was rosy, and their aura was strong. Based on this alone, she could guess that this group must be very strong.

She did not know what they wanted for coming here. But the best scenario was that they were passing by and not here to cause trouble.

While her mind was spinning at a fast speed, Pei Yixie tugged at Jin Xuyan’s hand and leaned closer to him. "Brother, that woman is guessing our intention for coming and is wary of us. She also thought that we were bandits and we were going to rob their supplies and kidnap their women."

When he heard the first sentence, Jin Xuyan did not feel that there was anything wrong with that. After all, in the apocalypse, one had to be more careful and guard against others.

But when he heard the last sentence, he raised his eyebrows and said, "She is overthinking."

As they exchanged some whispers, Zhang Yuan had already taken a step forward and said, "We are a mercenary team, and we are passing by this place. We only want to find a place to spend the night."

Hearing this, the woman narrowed her eyes and thought for a while before she replied, "You can stay in our base, but you have to pay the entrance fee."

Zhang Yuan nodded in understanding and asked, "How much is the entrance fee?"

The woman raised her fingers and said, "Two kilograms of food for each person. If you do not have food, you can use other things such as clothes, water, snacks, or daily necessities."
