"Brother Yan, how did you know? Have you come here before?"

Reaching out, she hugged him and rubbed his back gently. "Brother Yan, I’m not going anywhere. I will always stay by your side. Don’t be afraid," she soothed him.
With his head leaning on her shoulder, Jiao Lizhi didn’t notice the glint in his eyes.
Unlike the fragility he had shown her a few seconds ago, his gaze was cold and filled with determination. His lips were pressed into a thin line as he hugged her tightly.
It took him two lifetimes and hundreds of years before he was finally able to be with her. He would do everything to keep her, even if that would make her hate him.
