Before they reported the mission to the mission hall, the Captain gave him a mutant wild pheasant. Compared to a mutant chicken, the size was smaller, but the energy contained in the meat was no less.
"Brother Rong, take it back for your girlfriend," the Captain said.
Everyone in their team knew about Feng Xiu’s condition. While they were wary of her, they also pitied her. After all, she was the victim.

The Captain patted his shoulder and went to the mission hall. The points would be transferred to his card automatically, so he didn’t go with them and went to the cafeteria instead.
When the cafeteria staff saw him, they greeted him with a smile. "Brother Rong, are you going to borrow the kitchen again?"
Rong Qinyu nodded and said, "I want to make chicken soup for my girlfriend."
The staff nodded and pointed at the empty stove. "You can use that stove."
"Thank you."
Since it was not yet dinner time, the cafeteria staff were busy preparing the ingredients, so the stove was unused.
Rong Qinyu knew that every part of the mutant was valuable. So, after he slit the mutant pheasant’s neck, he stored the blood in a bowl. After he was done, he put the blood aside.
When the nearby staff saw the big bowl of blood, she asked, "Brother Rong, are you going to take back the blood?"
Hearing this, Rong Qinyu looked at her and asked, "Sister Li, do you want the blood?"
The woman nodded and said, "My brother is on the verge of breaking through. I wanted to buy something good for him, but it was hard to get it from the supply store. I wonder if you are willing to sell it to me."

When he arrived at the room, he saw his girlfriend looking out of the small window, lost in thought.
"Ah Xiu, what are you thinking about?" he asked.
Hearing her boyfriend’s voice, Feng Xiu was pulled out of her thoughts. While he was allowed to visit her, he was not allowed to enter the room.
"Ah Xiu, I made soup for you today. Eat it while it’s warm," Rong Qinyu said as he handed the thermos flask to her through the small opening.
Seeing this, Feng Xiu took it and sat on the floor. The 2 of them sat facing each other with the glass wall in between. While they ate, Rong Qinyu told her about what he did today and what his plan for tomorrow was.
Usually, she would ask about his well-being or remind him to be careful. But today, she not only didn’t say a word, she even ate with her head lowered.
Noticing his girlfriend’s strangeness, Rong Qinyu’s heart sank. They ate their meal in awkward silence. After dinner, he packed up the empty food box and asked, "Ah Xiu, did something happen?"
Feng Xiu looked at him for a while before she went to get the test result. She gave the folder to him and said, "Professor Fu came to visit me today and told me about my condition."
After a moment of pause, she continued, "He said that they found a mutant Axolotl’s DNA in my body, and it is currently merging with my DNA. At this moment, they don’t have any solution for my situation, and I can only depend on myself."
While he listened to her, Rong Qinyu read the report. After he spent a year in the facility, he was familiar with the symptoms and side effects of the Elixir of Immortality.
According to the test result, his girlfriend’s progress was good. In another month, her body would be fully mutated, and she would slowly return to her previous condition and be able to eat human food again.
