Wei Yunli looked at Wen Hanli. When she saw his smile, she finally took the folder and read the documents.

Half an hour later, she closed the folder and said, "Vice Commander, I can accept this offer. But I have a condition."

"Captain Wei, feel free to speak your mind," Wen Hanli replied as he sipped his tea.

"I want to bring my team and appoint them to positions in the Green Lake Base."

Wen Hanli raised his eyebrows when he heard this. He had already thought about this when he considered approaching Wei Yunli, so he was not surprised by her request.

"As long as you take the office, you will have full authority to employ and appoint people."

Hearing this, Wei Yunli was taken aback. She thought that she would need to negotiate for a long time before the Vice Commander agreed to her request.

She looked at him suspiciously and asked, "Vice Commander, are you serious?"

Wen Hanli let out a chuckle and replied, "Captain Wei, although the Green Lake Base already has Commander Xie Zhou, he has more experience in battle than in managing a base."

"After you take the office, you will be the one managing the base on a daily basis, while Commander Xie Zhou will be responsible for the base’s overall security."

"The two of you will report directly to the Commander. So, besides a lower position, you will receive the same benefits and treatment as Commander Xie."

The moment she heard this, Wei Yunli’s heart swayed. She considered the pros and cons for a while before she said, "Vice Commander, I need to discuss this matter with my team. I will give you a reply in 3 days at the latest."

Wen Hanli was satisfied with her and agreed readily. "Then I will wait for your good news."

Wei Yunli nodded and left the office in large strides.

After leaving Wen Hanli’s office, Wei Yunli returned to her team’s residence located in the 3rd ring area. When she returned, she saw all of her team members were present.

The moment they saw her, they stood up and greeted her, "Captain."

"Sister Wei, you are finally back. Did the Vice Commander make things difficult for you?" Jiao Wanwan asked.

Wei Yunli gestured for them to sit down before she took a seat. She glanced at everyone for a moment before she said, "The Vice Commander invited me to become the Green Lake Base’s Vice Commander."

The moment they heard this, everyone was stunned. But after a moment, their eyes lit up and they exclaimed in excitement.

"Captain, this is a good thing!"

"Indeed! After taking the position, you no longer have to go out on missions and face danger."

"Captain, you should accept the offer."

While everyone was excited, Jiao Wanwan was lost in thought. After everyone finally calmed down, she looked at her Captain and asked, "Sister Wei, do you plan to disband our team?"

"But you might not be on the same team anymore. I have to appoint you based on your skills and talents. So I want to ask you—do you want to follow me to the new base?"

The members were taken aback and exchanged glances with each other. Although they no longer had family, some of them had met new people and were in relationships. If they went to the new base, they would have to be separated from their loved ones.

Noticing their hesitation, Wei Yunli said, "You can think it over and give me your answer in 2 days."
