Soon after the Mutants split up, the one moving toward the city center suddenly disappeared mid-air.

At the same time, Qin Luzi snapped his eyes open and sat up in the back seat with a blank expression.

"Brother Qin, what’s wrong?" Xiao Qi asked in surprise.

At this moment, Qin Luzi was staring at two big purple dots that had appeared out of nowhere. They were moving at a fast speed toward the western border and the southern border area.

After a while, he took out his satellite phone and made a call. The call only rang twice before it connected.

"Captain, three Mutants suddenly appeared near the city center. One of them disappeared, while the other two went toward the western and southern border areas."

"Contact the other teams and form teams of ten. Go to the border areas and investigate the situation. I will handle the one in the city center," Jin Xuyan said.

"Understood."

After he hung up, Qin Luzi quickly contacted Zhang Yuan, Li Sikai, and Gao Bohai.

After some discussion, Li Sikai’s team joined Qin Luzi’s team and went to the southern border area, while Gao Bohai’s team joined Zhang Yuan’s team and went to the western border area.

As for Jin Xuyan, he changed direction and headed toward the city center. Sitting in the passenger seat, Jiao Lizhi stared at the blue mini-map and said, "Brother Yan, the Mutant is moving toward the underground bunker’s direction."

When Yuan Ruiyue heard this, he glanced at her but said nothing. The moment he stepped out of the car, he felt an immense pressure crashing down on him.

"Activate battle mode," Du Beiye said as she rushed toward Yuan Ruiyue’s position.

"Battle mode activated."

A blue, transparent light enveloped her for a second before disappearing. As soon as battle mode was activated, Du Beiye’s status increased severalfold. In the blink of an eye, she was standing in front of Yuan Ruiyue.

With a flick of her wrist, two longswords appeared in her hands. Before Yuan Ruiyue could react, she raised her swords in front of her.

Sparks flew as her longswords blocked an invisible attack.

Du Beiye glanced at the map and saw a big purple dot flickering. "Krayan, activate Nullification Field."

"Nullification Field activation in three... two... one..."

As the countdown hit zero, a wave of energy spread outward and covered an area with a radius of twenty kilometers.

Two seconds later, a figure suddenly appeared in front of them. Yuan Ruiyue’s eyes widened in shock. "Invisibility-type ability-user?!"

"It’s not human, but a Mutant!" Du Beiye said as she pushed the Mutant back, spun, and landed a kick on his chest.

The force of her kick sent the Mutant flying backward for more than ten meters.

"Can you fight?" she asked.

Yuan Ruiyue stood up and wiped the blood from his lips. "I can," he said as he raised his hand.

As he circulated his energy, he narrowed his eyes. In the distance, the Mutant’s eyes suddenly widened. The next moment, he grabbed his right arm and pulled hard.

After severing his own arm, he threw it away.

While Du Beiye was still stunned by the Mutant’s bizarre behavior, the severed arm exploded mid-air.

"What the hell is going on?" she exclaimed.

Yuan Ruiyue pulled out his twin daggers and rushed forward. "He’s coming!"
