Because of the long distance, it took ten seconds to travel. With Gaia’s barrier, they only felt dizziness and nausea and didn’t suffer any injury to their bodies. When the light faded, they appeared 5 kilometers away from the Lunar Base’s third wall.

Aside from Du Beiye, Jiao Lizhi, and Jin Xuyan, all the members swayed and collapsed to the ground. The weaker ones even dry-heaved and vomited on the spot.

The guards had received the order from Chen Qianxiao and also learned about the upcoming attack and that the Phantom Team was on their way. To save the survivors, they needed to defend the base and hold on until they arrived.

The guards exchanged glances, but they didn’t ask further questions. While they underwent inspection, Qin Luzi was checking his map. After ten minutes, he frowned and said, "Captain, I didn’t detect any high-level Mutant, Zombie, or ability-user within a radius of 80 kilometers."

Hearing this, Jin Xuyan asked, "How about the low-level ones?"

"There are none," Qin Luzi shook his head.

When he heard this, Jin Xuyan narrowed his eyes. Logically speaking, even though his team had cleared out all of the Zombies and Mutants in this city, it was impossible for the city to be completely cleared of them.

"Something is off. Split into teams of five and check the situation near the border. Beiye and Ruiyue, both of you, go investigate the area near the underground bunker. Ah Zhi and I will check the granary area."

"Understood," the members replied in unison.

Since they would split up, Jiao Lizhi took out two more SUVs from her space. Before leaving, Mo Junjie glanced at Du Beiye and Yuan Ruiyue.

Usually, it was him who accompanied her during investigation missions. But today, the Captain assigned Yuan Ruiyue instead. For an unknown reason, he felt as if his breath was blocked in his chest. This feeling was uncomfortable and suffocating, making him feel irritated.

When he saw her walk away without even looking at him, he reached out and grabbed her wrist. His body moved faster than his mind. By the time he regained his senses, Du Beiye was looking at him and asked, "What’s wrong?"

Mo Junjie blinked a few times in confusion before he said, "Be careful. If you meet any danger, contact me immediately."

Du Beiye nodded and replied, "You also have to be careful."

After she finished her words, she patted his shoulder and smiled. Knowing that they couldn’t waste time, Mo Junjie let go of her wrist. He stood there, watching her get into the car and leave with Yuan Ruiyue.

A moment later, Gao Bohai walked over and patted his shoulder. "Stop staring. She’s already gone. Let’s go. We have to leave now."

Hearing this, Mo Junjie was pulled out of his thoughts. As he walked to the car, he frowned and thought, ’I should ask Beiye about the side effects of that drug. It lasted longer than I expected.’

The survivors and ordinary guards still had to be relocated to the underground bunkers, but most of the guards with abilities would be sent to guard the third wall.

With the reinforcement here, the chance for the high-level creatures to break into their base was low. So, it was better to focus on defending the outer wall.

While they were discussing the survivors’ relocation, the three Mutants that were moving toward the Lunar Base suddenly stopped. One of them raised its head and closed its eyes.

After a few minutes, it opened its eyes and glanced at the other two. The three of them communicated without words. No one knew or understood how they were communicating, but after a moment, the three of them suddenly turned around and moved in the opposite direction.

The one with the lowest level went toward the center of the city, while the other two moved toward the border.
