After she said this, Jiao Lizhi waved her hand, and several boxes of seeds were taken out from her space. These seeds were from the mutant trees she planted in her space, so they would be able to survive harsh weather conditions.

Wen Hanli glanced at the seeds and saw that there were not only apple seeds, but also other types of fruit seeds. Satisfied with this deal, he stood up and said, "Let’s go check on them first."

Before the medical staff took the mutants’ blood samples, Jiao Lizhi talked with them first. After she explained everything, the mutants had no objections and finally came out of the bus.

Due to DNA mutations, some parts of their bodies had changed. To avoid alarming other residents, Jiao Lizhi gave them hoodie jackets, scarves, woolen hats, gloves, and winter boots.

With their bodies covered in winter clothes, only the guards and the medical staff saw their mutations.

When everyone saw their bodies, they thought that mutants with mutated body parts were stronger. But in fact, those who looked more like humans were stronger.

It took them 3 hours to finish the inspection and take the blood samples. When they were done, Jiao Lizhi drove the bus to the apartments prepared for them.

Behind them, 2 cars followed. Sitting inside the cars were administrative staff and a group of guards.

Even though they were under surveillance, the mutants didn’t care at all. At that moment, they were too busy taking in everything around them. Their eyes darted around as they looked at the people and the buildings.

In the midst of winter, the people’s eyes were bright, and their steps were brisk, a hint of a peaceful and prosperous base. The stores were busy, and business was doing very well.

Seeing this, hope was rekindled in the mutants’ hearts. Perhaps their once-destroyed home could be found in this place.

One hour later, they arrived at the apartment building. After everyone got out of the bus, Jiao Lizhi stored it in her space. They followed the administrative staff to check on the apartments.

Since there was enough room, 1 apartment was shared by 2 mutants. Inside the apartment, all the basic furniture was ready. They only lacked supplies.

Seeing this, Jiao Lizhi gave them grain, vegetables, meat, seasonings, oil, and some fruits. All were products of her space.

Thanks to the cold weather, they only needed to put the meat outside the window to freeze it. As for the vegetables and fruits, they could be stored for a longer time with proper packaging in winter.

The amount of supplies was enough for them to last for 2 months. Besides food, she also filled their water tanks with pond water. They could use it for drinking since they couldn’t drink water without energy.

After the mutants moved into their new homes, Jiao Lizhi said, "If you need anything, just find me in the condominium of the next building."

"Thank you, Sister Jiao. You have helped us a lot. We can do the rest," one of the young mutants said.

Jiao Lizhi smiled and patted his head gently before she left with the guards and administrative staff. Now that they finally had a place to call home, the mutants were finally able to take a good shower.

They used the water given by the base to shower before they went out to explore the base.

In the next 4 days, the base was busy with the medical checkups, and on the 5th day, they finally got the results.

Early in the morning, Fu Zhengde went to find Xun Che in his office even before dawn. When the guards saw him, they quickly reported to the Commander and led him into the office.

As soon as the guards opened the door, Fu Zhengde entered and said excitedly, "Commander, the result is out. It’s indeed as you and the Vice Commander guessed!"

"Even with their speed, it will take more than 4 months to finish the test," Xun Che said with a frown.

"Commander, I also thought like this when I checked their progress on the 2nd day. But Comrade Du said that she had a way to speed up the test. So, we might only need at most 10 days to get the results," Fu Zhengde said in a low voice.
