Chapter 1965: Shocking News

Grey made sure not to draw any attention as he went over to inspect the prisoners captured from True Dawn. He found it odd how they were able to take so many people from True Dawn given how difficult it was to teleport a large number of people. He was a Space Elementalist and knew just how hard it was to take a few people with him. Even with the help of teleportation arrays, it was still extremely tasking to say the least. Taking close to a hundred people from True Dawn was definitely no easy task.

‘Could it be they had a Space Elementalist with them?’ He pondered. This was the only way they would have been able to bring out so many people from True Dawn. The Lady from True Dawn mentioned something about there being a teleportation array being at the sight of the explosion, and he did sense spatial fluctuations.

It did not take long before he arrived at the place where the prisoners were kept. No one stopped him, after all, he was the Seventh Prince of the Gnome Race. He did not do anything to warrant any suspicions. Looking around, he could not find the Principal, making his heart sink. If these were the people brought from True Dawn, then the Principal should technically be with them. So where was the Principal?

Thinking about this, he curiously asked the guards who escorted these people here if these were all the prisoners. The response made him heave a sigh of relief. More were coming, and these ones were the first batch that passed through the portal. Taking into account how hard it would be to send so many people over, he felt it was within reason. Those captured from True Dawn were not the only prisoners the Gnomes had with them in the Azure Continent. If they were sending everyone over, it would naturally take some time. Asking a few more questions, he found out the location of the portal where these people were using.

Heading there was impossible since it might raise suspicion. He told the guards he would return specifically for the Griffin as he needed to prepare something beforehand and only came to observe it, he also told them not to disturb him about it either until he came for it.. Brown was kept in a different cell since she was a Magical Beast. No one had any complaints that the Seventh Prince was interested in this Magical Beast. Although they were not natives of the Human World, they were all aware of how rare this Magical Beast was and a few people were already eyeing her. Now that the Seventh Prince has set his eyes on her, it was basically his.

Grey controlled the Seventh Prince back to his room before falling into a moment of deliberation. He was certain the Principal would be brought here, which was good news in itself. The issue now is how to rescue him. Even though the Seventh Prince was under his control, he would need to constantly expend his Mental Energy in doing so. It was easier the last time due to the Seventh Prince’s weaker cultivation. He never expected that during the past few years, the Seventh Prince’s cultivation had soared all the way to the Fifth stage of the Sovereign Plane. He did not know what special method the Emperor must have employed, but it was evident he did not spare any thought in improving the strength of the Seventh Prince.

The Seventh Prince was a genius, wielding five elements. It is not an exaggeration to say the Emperor placed all his hopes and focus on him with the death of the First and Second Princes some years ago. Now that the Seventh Prince was a Sovereign, it became extremely taxing on Grey to control the latter. This meant that other than gathering some pieces of information during a short period of time, he could not constantly control the Seventh Prince like before. And even his current act was draining him massively.

Ensuring to put the Seventh Prince in the same position as before, he took his consciousness back.

….

True Dawn.

In a quiet room, Grey’s shut eyes opened. Looking around, he stood up and walked out of the room to see Klaus with a forlorn expression. Seeing Grey come out of his room, he did not show any reaction, only looking up and then dropping his head again.

Grey did not try to speak to him since he had not seen the Principal yet. He moved closer and tried to see if he could console him. Unfortunately, no matter what he said, he could not get much of a reaction from Klaus. Other than a few nods, and some forced smiles, he did not speak. With no other choice, Grey went to meet the others to see how they were faring. As soon as he came out, the news he heard stunned him.

A Half God Plane expert that came with him died in battle. The news shook him greatly as he never expected any Half God Plane experts to die. When they ambushed the Gnome Races’ Half God Plane experts the last time, they had a resounding victory and he expected this to be the same. Other than this death, two others were also seriously injured according to the information he got from his Teacher.

This news was out of Grey’s expectations, after a moment of shock, he soon calmed down. Both parties were fighting, he did not think that only the Gnomes would suffer losses. As much as he would very much prefer that, this was war between two Races and it would be unnatural if only one party suffers losses.

Grey initially wanted to use this time to explore True Dawn, however the news of the dead and injured Half God Plane experts made his mood sour. Going back, he decided to meditate for a few hours before controlling the Seventh Prince to see if he could find the Principal.
