Chapter 153 Part 2 – My Girlfriend Says No To Ear Kisses (II)
After sending Feng Bai off in a cab, Jiang Li turned around and saw Tong Yi standing under the streetlamp like a tree—tall and straight.
When Tong Yi noticed her staring, he quickly walked over and asked, “I saw you guys went into a pharmacy. Did you buy something?”
Jiang Li took the plastic bag out of her coat pocket. “Rubbing alcohol and some ointment for swelling and pain. My third brother bought them for you.”
Tong Yi looked surprised. “He bought that… for me? Did I hear that right?”
Jiang Li chuckled, “Are you doubting my word?”
Tong Yi quickly said, “Of course not. I’m just curious why your third brother would buy me ointment.”
Jiang Li raised her arm and gently touched the wound at the corner of his mouth. “Does it hurt?”
Tong Yi caught her hand and said in a low voice, “If you gave me a kiss, I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt anymore.”
Jiang Li sighed and said irritably, “He was hitting you, but you just stood there? You didn’t even try to dodge?”
Tong Yi couldn’t resist the impulse and started playing with her fingers. “So you’re worried about me?”
Jiang Li rolled her eyes. “I know how strong Third Brother is. I also know how strong you are. You let him beat you—I’m not wasting sympathy on you.”
Despite her words, she still said quietly, “Let me clean your wound.”
Tong Yi raised an eyebrow with a teasing smile. “You sure you want to do it here?”
Jiang Li raised an eyebrow back. “Where else?”
Tong Yi smiled. “If you treat my wound right here, and someone sees, they’ll definitely take pictures and post them on your school’s forum. Then everyone will start talking again.”
Jiang Li said nonchalantly, “Let them talk. It’s not like it’s a big deal.”
It’s just treating a wound, not like they were kissing in public. Even if people gossiped, she didn’t care.
Tong Yi leaned in a little closer and said softly, “But the wound’s at the corner of my mouth. If someone sees you leaning in, they might think… that you bit me.”
Jiang Li: “…”
How could he talk like this with such a straight face?!
But thinking about how gossipy the med students could be, she had to admit… they really would come up with the wildest stories, and there’d be no way to defend herself.
When Tong Yi saw the hesitation on her face, he earnestly suggested, “This place is close to your school, and even closer to your villa. Let’s go there to deal with my injury.”
Jiang Li replied with a blank expression, “I don’t think it’s that serious. You can handle that little injury yourself—no need to bother me.”
Tong Yi sighed helplessly. “If it were just the injury on my face, it wouldn’t be a big deal even if I didn’t treat it. But… the one on my back…”
Jiang Li’s expression turned to shock. “You hurt your back too?”
She hadn’t been that concerned about the injury on his face, since she knew he let her third brother hit him on purpose—to make him feel guilty by aiming for a visible spot.
But hearing that his back was injured too, Jiang Li’s mood instantly soured.
Seeing her concern, Tong Yi quickly added, “It’s nothing serious, really. Your third brother didn’t use much force. He couldn’t have done much damage.”
Jiang Li frowned. “We won’t know if it’s serious until I take a look.”
Saying that, she brought Tong Yi back to her villa. As they stepped inside, Tong Yi looked around and remarked in a low voice, “Your place is pretty spacious, but it feels like no one visits much. Kind of lacking in… life.”
Jiang Li turned around after changing into slippers and asked, “So, do you want to move out of the dorm and live here instead?”
Tong Yi looked shocked. It took him a while before he reacted, “You… you’re serious?”
Jiang Li grinned and handed him a pair of shoe covers. “What do you think?”
Tong Yi took the covers and slipped them over his shoes before replying, “You must be joking. I never even dared to imagine that.”
She hadn’t even prepared a pair of slippers for him—it was obvious she saw him as a guest. No way she’d actually let him move in. He wasn’t that delusional.
Still, he could always buy some basic daily supplies and bring them over little by little. Slowly invade her space until his presence was everywhere.
Seeing that he didn’t take the bait, Jiang Li shrugged, “I was serious, but since you don’t believe me, forget it.”
To make it more convincing, she even sighed lightly and showed a regretful expression.
“I believe you!” Tong Yi blurted out. But when he saw Jiang Li’s mischievous smile, he instantly realized he’d been played.
He quickly stepped forward and cornered her against the wall, one hand bracing against it, the other gently cupping her face. In a low voice, he asked, “Jiang Xiao Li, has anyone ever told you… Men can’t resist being teased?”
Jiang Li looked him in the eye without flinching. “You’re not planning to kiss me with that injured mouth, are you? That’s gross…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Tong Yi leaned in quickly, and in that instant, she felt a warm, fleeting touch on her lips.
Though it was just a brief kiss, Jiang Li felt her face flush. What made it worse was that Tong Yi looked at her with those smoldering eyes and casually asked, “You think my lips are dirty, but my tongue isn’t. How did it taste?”
Jiang Li: “…”
Seeing her dazed and flustered, Tong Yi brushed her hair aside, leaned down, and gently bit her earlobe.
The sensation made Jiang Li shudder all over. She stared wide-eyed at him, stammering, “You… you… you…”
Tong Yi whispered, “My teeth aren’t dirty either.”
Jiang Li: “…”
He slid his hand down from her chin, lightly brushing over her collarbone, and murmured, “My hands aren’t dirty either… so I could…”
Before he could finish, he suddenly realized Jiang Xiao Li was going limp in his arms. He quickly caught her, holding her against his chest, breathing in her subtle scent, and finding himself completely distracted.
This was the first relationship for both of them. Neither had much experience, but some things, especially for a man, came instinctively. And he’d done a fair bit of research beforehand.
Tong Yi lifted her into his arms and carried her to the sofa, gently laying her down. “Jiang Xiao Li,” he said softly, “I really, really want to bully you right now. If you really want me to stop, you’ll have to use all your strength to make me.”
Even though he was completely tempted, he still respected her. If she resisted, he wouldn’t go further.
Before Jiang Li could even process what was happening, she felt his weight press down. She tried to push him away, but Tong Yi began kissing her ear. Her whole body went weak—she had no strength left to resist.
“Tong Yi, if you… if you don’t stop, I’m gonna… gonna get mad.” Her words were meant to be a warning, but they held no authority whatsoever.
She didn’t know why her energy had vanished so suddenly, why even her reflexes had slowed.
Tong Yi blew a warm breath against her ear. “But you’re not stopping me. That means… You like it too, don’t you?”
Jiang Li was trembling all over, her gaze panicked. “I… I have no strength. You’re not allowed to do this to me.”
Especially when he blew on her ear—it made her feel like she lost all control of her body. How could she possibly like that?
Tong Yi finally noticed something was wrong. He sat up and helped her into a sitting position. “Just now… what happened to you?”
Jiang Li moved slightly away from him. It took her a while to calm down. She rubbed her ear and glared at him, muttering, “You’re not allowed to bite my ear anymore. Or kiss it. Or blow on it. If you do, I’ll beat you up.”
Tong Yi: “…”
Why can’t he kiss her ear?
He hadn’t been in a relationship before, but to avoid looking clueless, he had secretly read up on this stuff. Kissing a girl’s ear was supposed to be standard romantic behavior!
“Why not?” Tong Yi asked, genuinely confused.
Seeing his innocent expression, Jiang Li stomped hard on his foot, then added another warning. “Because I said so! We barely got together, and you’re already ignoring my feelings?”
Tong Yi quickly said, “Okay, okay! I won’t do it. Don’t be mad.”
To change the subject, Jiang Li pulled out the rubbing alcohol and ointment that her third brother had bought and began tending to the wound on Tong Yi’s lip.
She was extremely focused, and Tong Yi kept a straight face—but in his mind, all he could see was how weak she’d just looked in his arms.
After she finished treating the injury, Jiang Li said softly, “Let me check your back.”
Tong Yi was startled. “Do you really want to?”
Jiang Li nodded. “Of course. If you lied to me, you’re dead meat.”
Hearing that, Tong Yi took off his jacket without hesitation, then even took off his inner shirt.
Jiang Li: “…”
He could’ve just lifted his shirt. What was he doing? Who was he trying to show off?!
But Tong Yi had already turned around, back facing her. “Help me check near the shoulder blades. The rest should be fine.”
Jiang Li stepped closer and saw that the skin near his shoulder blades didn’t look too bad. She poked it with her finger, and Tong Yi immediately sucked in a breath.
With that big of a reaction, she couldn’t tell if he was faking or not, so she simply applied a layer of ointment just in case.
Once she was done, she set the cotton swabs and ointment aside. “I’m going to wash my hands. Put your clothes back on.”
As soon as Jiang Li walked away, Tong Yi quickly got dressed, then pulled out his phone and opened the search bar.
He typed: “Girlfriend says no ear kisses—what does it mean?”
