Chapter 2254: The Wise
Chapter 2254: The Wise
Tang Shaoyang and Li Shuang watched Dinael leave the room. They didn’t continue the discussion until Origin confirmed Dinael had left the floor.
"So, what truly changes your mind about working together with the Divine Church?" Li Shuang asked, believing there were more reasons than trust.
"You have heard me. I don’t trust them," Tang Shaoyang was confused as to why her wife asked again.
"We certainly can’t fully trust them, but considering how long Dinael took to convince them, I believe we can trust them. If you are worried, we can at least use them for something, apart from the main battle. You said it yourself that we need every manpower we could get to fight them."
Li Shuang still didn’t have a clear understanding of the hierarchy of the God Realm. She didn’t know where the Nirvana Alliance or the Divine Church stood in the God Realm. She didn’t know; she knew that having more people would secure their war.
"We do, but not them. A contract is not a reliable option for commitment. The oath can be annulled. We know that since we have the item to annul the oath. An alliance as big and old as the Nirvana Alliance will have a stock of those items."
Tang Shaoyang didn’t have a way to ensure the Divine Church would commit the betrayal. The contract could only give him a warning once the contract was breached. The oath could be canceled. There was no guarantee that the Divine Church would not betray them.
"Hmmm... I don’t think that far..." Li Shuang didn’t really remember an item to cancel the oath. She thought the oath would solve anything, but not this time. The oath didn’t hold absolute power against a powerhouse like the Nirvana Alliance.
Tang Shaoyang smiled, "You don’t need to worry about the war. I have everything under control."
He burdened Li Shuang with the Empire’s affair. He didn’t want her to be worried about the war as well: "You have seen me fight yesterday, and I can tell you confidently that I haven’t used thirty percent of my power yet."
He would say that he didn’t even use ten percent of his powers. He only used a few skills and a few techniques, even going as far as experimenting with a game. However, for someone like Li Shuang, who didn’t know much about the God Rank, she could not tell the difference.
Li Shuang furrowed her brow as she recalled yesterday’s duels. She was relieved with how the duels went; the scene was quite disturbing for him. She was someone with experience, yet it still disturbed her.
Zhang Mengyao and Kang Xue told her that that was just another scene in a war. She didn’t know if they tried to comfort her, or if that was the truth about a war.
She threw away the thoughts and continued with the reports. She insisted on reviewing the reports because she wanted her husband to rest, and this was also a time when they could spend time together peacefully.

After the War of Worlds, Tang Shaoyang went back to his previous routine. He kept his focus on martial arts as well as developing the Tang Garden. This time, he learned a new technique from the Heavenly Scriptures, his Sword Techniques, as well as his fist technique.
Meanwhile, the Tang Garden’s rating kept going up, and he was now at an 8-Star rating. With a high rating, he received more applicants from the Beast Spirit Applicant skill monthly.
Tang Shaoyang gave the full authority on which Beast Spirits to accept to his Chief Caretaker, Azhug Oogurim. The Ogre didn’t discriminate, accepting all Beast Spirits into the Tang Garden, even if it was a Battle Beast Spirit.
As of now, the Tang Garden could generate revenues by selling the Beast Spirit’s feed. Elnar and Liora developed nutritious feed that could help with the Beast Spirit’s evolution. On top of that, Oogurim sold the formula for variant evolution after the Cladeos Emporium kept pestering him to sell a few of the Beast Spirits in the Tang Garden.
The best example was their Koi, aka Crimson Mist, evolved into Rainbow Mist, Obsidian Nether, and Golden Flamist. Rainbow Mist remained as a non-combatant Beast Spirit, but Obsidian Nether and Golden Flamist were Battle Beast Spirits.
Tang Shaoyang was true to his promise that his Beast Spirit was not for sale. With the additional business, the Tang Garden didn’t require external injection anymore. The revenue was enough to sustain the Tang Garden, even adding more Beast Spirits every month.
He could not feel the increase in his attributes, but he could see the numbers in his skill, Beast Spirit Is My Power, that his stats kept going up. Even the hidden stats, such as Luck, also went up.
Then every two months, he would leave to clear the abandoned world. The Calamity Creatures were his fuel for his Spirits and Skeleton, after all.
Tang Shaoyang told Kaiser to cap the Skeleton Army at fifty thousand skeletons. After capping the number, he instructed the Skelly Family to focus on strengthening them instead. Of course, he instructed them to prioritize their power as well.
At the same time, his Spirit’s number went up steadily as more Calamity Spirits increased in his arsenal. The Calamity Spirit was easier to work with. They didn’t have any other desire but to fight and kill.
The biggest improvement came from his cultivation, as his Soul Palace had become another world. Tang Shaoyang’s physical body was sitting cross-legged on the floor, her eyes closed, with his hands resting on his thigh. He was inside his Soul Palace right now.
*** Tang Shaoyang’s Soul Palace ***
Tang Shaoyang was standing at the edge of the floating island, checking the land below him. The grassland was brimming with life, cities and villages could be found here and there—the dirt roads connected them—caravans pulled by horses or bulls occupied the road, moving between the cities and villages.
That was right, he finally created humans in his Soul Palace and left them on their own. He didn’t really leave them on their own because he had his manager in the Soul Palace.
"I told you that you don’t need to worry about cultivating your Soul Palace with me here."
The mentioned manager’s voice rang in Tang Shaoyang’s head as a massive shadow cast over him. Tang Shaoyang looked up at the dark-gold scaled dragon that had grown much bigger compared to their first interaction. That was right, this was the same dragon that slept in his dantian.
It had reached over ten meters long, twice as big as his body, with branching horns on its head. Its eyes were quite unique as its left eye had a different color from its right eye. The left eye was bright gold, and its right eye was dark gold. The same dark-gold crest behind its horns kept going on its back to the tail.
To him, this dragon was his Soul Palace Manager, but to the people who lived inside his Soul Palace, the dragon was a God. Its voice was absolute in the Soul Palace and among the residents. He named the dragon The Wise.
