Chapter 994: Just Observe [GT Ranking Bonus Chapter]

Hearing Malrik’s words, Wuthenya and her siblings’ lips could only twitch. Just because he had reached the Crownstar Life Rank at the age of twenty-nine, he held it over everyone’s heads. They couldn’t help but sigh as they shook their heads. Even Wuthenya, who was currently the strongest amongst them after him, was already thirty years of age this year, while Malrik was thirty-one.

But Wuthenya was at the Dust Soulstar Life Rank, as she had only recently broken through.

Within the Wargrave family, amongst the Suns and Moons, the siblings’ current power ranking went as follows;

First Sun, Malrik Wargrave, thirty-one years old, Radiant Crownstar Life Rank, strongest of all siblings.

Second Moon, Wuthenya Wargrave, thirty years old, Dust Soulstar Life Rank, second strongest.

Third Sun, Xavian Wargrave, twenty-eight years old, Spark Voidstar Life Rank.

Third Moon, Xavienne Wargrave, twenty-eight years old, Spark Voidstar Life Rank.

Fifth Sun, Apollo Wargrave, twenty-seven years of age, Pulse Voidstar Life Rank, third strongest.

Sixth Sun, Ezekiel Wargrave, twenty-six years of age, Dust Voidstar Life Rank.

Seventh Moon, Mary Wargrave, twenty-five years old, Dust Voidstar Life Rank.

Eighth Moon, Olivia Wargrave, twenty-four years old, Radiant Wavestar Life Rank.

Ninth Sun, Thalric Wargrave, twenty years old, Dust Firmstar Life Rank, current weakest.

Tenth Sun, Asher Wargrave, nineteen years old, Dust Firmstar Life Rank, second weakest.

---

If they calculated based on the current speed of Life Rank progression, only their youngest sibling had any hope of breaking that record. As for the rest of them, maybe only Apollo, if he stuffed himself with souls non-stop.

They could only wait for Asher to step into the Crownstar Life Rank so that Malrik could finally stop boasting. They turned toward him, all eyes landing on him as they silently burdened him with this great mission.

Asher’s lips could only twitch as he saw his siblings’ expressions, perfectly understanding what they meant, but he was simply going to progress at his own pace, not whatever pace these siblings of his were imagining.

Arianna, who was standing with the Suns and Moons, couldn’t help but wonder if this bunch of siblings actually saw the enemies, the Alphabets standing before them.

As Arianna thought that, everyone’s eyes shifted toward the Alphabets. There were twenty-six of them, and they all stood at the Voidstar Life Rank at minimum, while only their leader, the man etched with the letter ’A’ on his forehead, stood at the Soulstar Life Rank, as he seemed to be the leader of the group.

The Thresholds were Crownstar Life Rankers, while the Numbers were at the Soulstar Life Rank, and the Alphabets were at the Voidstar Life Rank.

"It seems we would have to take on a couple more than one enemy since Asher and Thalric aren’t at the Voidstar Life Rank yet," Wuthenya spoke, her gaze turning cold as the smile she had given her siblings earlier was nowhere to be seen now.

The Alphabets focused their attention on the siblings.

"I will take on ’A’, ’B’, ’C’, and ’D’," Wuthenya continued speaking as she assumed command of the battlefield as the oldest and strongest person present. Her head turned to the side as she gazed at her siblings while giving her instructions. "Asher and Arianna, you both are to take on ’Z’, and Thalric... just observe, and as for the rest of you, just take on three each," she instructed, her eyes shifting toward her own opponents.

At the side, Thalric could only remain expressionless. He knew he was the weakest at the moment; there was no denying it. But he didn’t feel bad about it. His siblings were much older than him. It wasn’t as though they were all the same age and simply much stronger.

Thalric simply vanished from where he was. Since he had nothing to contribute to the battle, he had no use being here. He would only become a burden.

Arianna and Asher looked into each other’s eyes, purple meeting green, before they nodded at each other. They understood each other’s abilities well, so there was no need to work on their synergy. Although they were geniuses, they knew Voidstars were a different caliber of existence altogether. They couldn’t take on one by themselves, even if that person was only at the Dust Voidstar Life Rank.

Although Asher knew he had trained for this particular moment, it didn’t suddenly mean he could now take on a Voidstar Life Rank as though it were nothing. Yes, he usually shattered power scales as though they meant nothing, but not this time. Well... he did possess enough physical strength to match a Voidstar Life Rank.

As for Arianna herself, she had broken through from the Radiant Firmstar Life Rank and stepped into the Dust Wavestar Life Rank, meaning she too now possessed the physical strength to keep up with a Voidstar Life Rank.

But they both knew this was a Voidstar Life Rank. They couldn’t afford to hold back. There was no testing the waters with beings of such caliber in their current states. It was either going all out from the very beginning or dying from a single attack.

The moment the order was given, various soul-bound weapons flashed into existence. Daggers, a rapier, a scythe, a hammer, a double-edged axe, a Jian sword, and even a broom.

Wuthenya was the first to move as she closed the distance between herself and ’B’ in a blur. ’B’ wasn’t even able to follow her movement despite being at the Radiant Soulstar Life Rank due to the sheer difference in power between their Life Ranks. As Wuthenya moved to finish him off, ’A’ appeared like a phantom, his own soul-bound weapon appearing, a shield, as he instantly blocked Wuthenya’s attack.

As her daggers met the shield, an ear-shattering sound erupted, forcing Asher and the rest to instantly shield their ears with Astra energy.

Wuthenya didn’t blink. She simply vanished from where she stood as she attacked ’D’, who was already on the move, but she had already covered the distance between them. Yet ’A’ was also there, as though he were an unshakable mountain, appearing just in time to tank the attack. But the moment he moved to block, Wuthenya threw one of her two daggers at ’C’, the attack catching her completely off guard as the dagger tore through her chest, her heart bursting through the back of her body.

Wuthenya’s dagger instantly reappeared in her hand as she stood with both daggers held in a reverse grip. One down, three to go.

’A’ frowned as he hadn’t seen that move coming.

The rest of the Wargraves weren’t far behind, but it wasn’t just them. The Alphabets didn’t wait for them to come. They too vanished from their own positions as they rushed toward the Wargraves like ants swarming toward sugar.

As for Asher and Arianna, they instantly set their eyes on ’Z’, who had been assigned to them.

With a thought, both of them tapped into their strongest ability and skill.

Arianna’s body flashed with green energy as she activated World Embodiment while on the move.

Asher’s body flashed white as he tapped into Star Form.

And in twin blurs of green and white, they closed the distance between themselves and ’Z’ in less than a split second as ’Z’ welcomed them with open arms and a smile.
