Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1863 Troublesome Disciple (4)

Chapter 1863  Troublesome Disciple (4)

"Eeeh?" Feeling herself being thrown outside by her master alongside Baobao and Song Jia, Mui could not help letting out a somewhat surprised sound as she stared back in the direction of her master's cultivation room with a look of confusion. Not understanding how her attempt to convince her master had ended up failing even after she had done her best in convincing him to help widen the Qi Spring Lake a bit so she could attempt to create the formation she had just recently come up with.

Even if it might disturb a few of the sect elders who resided around the Qi Spring Lake and cause some damage to Zu Fei's lotus farm, she didn't think her request was that outrageous. The reason being that her formation would help increase the quality of the qi spring it engulfed, according to her calculations, something that would benefit the entire sect.

All things considered, Mui felt that her master should have happily accepted her request, but… Instead of that, he ended up forcing her to go through Elder Song first…

"Hmph… That old man… There is no way he is going to allow me anywhere near those qi springs…" Puffing her small cheeks as she muttered this to herself with sulky expression, Mui understood full well that there was close to no chance of her gaining approval from someone like Elder Song.

After all, to get approval from him, she would have to demonstrate that nothing would go wrong with the qi spring involved or the rest of the qi springs around.

How was she supposed to do that? She only just came up with the formation for improving the qi spring a few days before her master had returned to sect and didn't have the chance to use it yet!

Elder Song is always so unreasonable, never allowing me test out things without ensuring they are "safe" first. How would I even know if something is safe without first testing it?!

Quietly grumbling to herself as she was filled with complaints towards all the restrictions Elder Song would undoubtedly come up with the second she approached him with the intention of using one of the qi springs, Mui felt herself feeling somewhat helpless when it came to creating the formation she had come up with for strengthening a qi spring.

Even though her good friend was the granddaughter of Elder Song, she full well that the old man wouldn't get any softer with her around, something she understood had already tried in the past.

One of those times that had caused Elder Song to become far more stringent, being when she had wanted to help make the Grand Mission Pavilion a bit more entertaining while waiting around by adding a special creation hers to the ceiling of the Grand Mission Pavilion. Turning the ceiling see through so the disciples and elders inside could gaze at the clouds passing by above while waiting around.

Well… In the end, she had ended up gaining Elder Song's approval back then, as the idea seemed harmless enough in the eyes of the old man, but… This had not lasted for long, as her first attempt at creating a special artifact to make the ceiling see through ended up with the entire roof of the Grand Mission Pavilion being blown off. Landing on top of an unsuspecting group of elders who had just left the Grand Mission Pavilion a few minutes earlier and had not managed to react in time before the roof had landed on top of them.

If that was it, it would have been fine, but the roof of the Grand Mission Pavilion or the entire Grand Mission Pavilion for that matter, was directly guarded by the chaotic qi formation that engulfed the Shattered Star Peaks and guarded the sect. Meaning that, even if those elders attempted to blow apart the roof to escape, they were unable to do so, as the blown off roof was guarded by the chaotic qi formation. The artifact crafted by Mui to make the ceiling see-through having somehow managed to cut the connection between the Grand Mission Pavilion and the chaotic qi formation momentarily before using that short instant to blow off the roof before the connection was reestablished.

Not just that, but after the roof landed on the group of elders and pinned them to the ground, the artifact began working as intended. Making the roof entirely see-through for any of the passing disciples and elders to see the group of elders pinned to the ground by the roof that had fallen on top of them out of nowhere.

Even worse, because of the chaotic qi formation sensing their attempt to first lift up the roof to escape from beneath it as an attack, it mobilized to seal the elders now barely able to move around beneath the see-through roof that had by that point turned into the center of attention for the large number of elders and disciples who were on their way to or from the Grand Mission Pavilion.

Traumatizing to say the least for this group of elders, who ended up being pinned to the ground with everyone from the youngest disciples to their peers and even seniors coming to see what was happening before Feng Chen could arrive to help them out by stopping the chaotic qi formation.

In the aftermath, this group of unfortunate elders ended up becoming rather famous throughout the Star Shattering Sect and could still be considered amongst the most famous elders in the sect below the Soul Ascension Realm… And it was because of this new fame that these elders made sure Elder Song restricted her from ever doing anything to the more public buildings in the sect without an extreme level of cation and security measure put in place beforehand.

Hmph! A group of troublemakers!

Puffing up her cheeks in disdain at the thought of that group of elders who had ended up being the main reason why she could no longer work on some of the more interesting projects she had come up with for improving the sect, Mui leaned over and hugged Baobao floating right next to her before grabbing the hand of Song Jia who was standing beside her with a somewhat awed and amazed expression in response to how they had just been transported out of her master's cultivation room.

Although she didn't question anything that happened and merely thought something like that happening was normal, Song Jia didn't think the same way she did and understood that Xuan Hao should have somehow used the Dao of Space to move the two of them around without either of them having had the ability to sense anything in the process. A truly awesome display of power that had rendered Song Jia unable to say anything after essentially having been thrown out.

Whoosh~

"Huh!? Where… Where are we going!?" Only when she suddenly felt her friend pulling her along did she recover from shock and turn to Mui in surprise. Clinging tightly to the hand that had pulled her along, as she had already been carried up into the sky by her.

"Where are we going? Of course, we are going to the Qi Spring Lake!" hearing the somewhat panicked voice from her friend barely clinging on, Mui didn't show the slightest bit hesitation as she said this, a bright smile on her lips.

"Huh? But… Didn't your master say-"

"Don't worry about that! Master just said he wouldn't help without first getting Elder Song's approval, he never said something about me not doing it on my own!"

"That… But… I… I don't think that was what your master meant when-"

"You don't know my master! This is just him wanting me to overcome a trial on my own and prove my strength by widening the Qi Spring Lake without his assistance!

As for how I will do that… Hm… I don't know… Maybe I could create some artifact for digging or something? Yes! That's it! I will create an artifact for digging!"

"…"

Hearing her friend already starting to justify herself, Song Jia understood that there was no way around it, it was clear that Mui was determined to try out this new formation she had come up with that required a qi spring to function. No matter what she did, there was no way for her to stop her when she became this excited about something. Understanding that she would find some way to accomplish her goal no matter what. Even telling her grandfather wouldn't help out.

Yes… That was the reason! It wasn't because she herself had also become curious about what kind of formation Mui would end up creating this time around and wanted to join in and help create this mysterious formation.

No, that wasn't it…

She just wanted to join her friend to help ensure that nothing ended up going wrong in the process that could potentially damage the qi spring! Yes… That was the reason why she was following along and didn't immediately decide to contact her grandfather about the situation…
