Death… And Me

Chapter 3383: He Must Be, Right?

Chapter 3383: He Must Be, Right?

Suddenly, someone approached Rean and Kentucky. "Fr-Friends..."

His teeth were hitting against each other as his body trembled nonstop. He was circulating his Divine Energy like crazy, but that simply wasn't enough to keep all the freezing energy in the surroundings out of his body. He was at the Initial Stage of the Space Bending Realm, but he didn't have Water Affinity. He was another one of those just crossing the corridor.

"C-Can you h-h-help me? I won't resis-sis-sist much longer..." He truly underestimated the power of the Glacial Overflow during its critical point. That's because he was from the west side to start with. It wasn't as bad when he crossed the first time to the east side. He thought that, at most, he would only need to spend a few more Divine Stones to resist the freezing energy, and that would be it. Oh, how could he be any more wrong...

Rean and Kentucky glanced at each other. They didn't even notice that guy existed until a few second ago. Well, it wasn't in their nature to simply ignore someone like him, either.

Rean waved his hand, and many of the runes of the Warm Boat's protection barrier rushed into the guy's body. Meanwhile, Kentucky used his Sky Energy to drive away all the freezing energy that had seeped into the guy's body until now. In a matter of seconds, the newcomer was completely out of danger.

"This..." The guy looked at the effects, not expecting Rean and Kentucky to help him that easily. He was ready to pay quite a big sum of Divine Stones to have them help, and he definitely didn't expect the help would be that good. Above all... Rean and Kentucky were an entire realm below him in cultivation, so his hopes that they could help were pretty much none from the start.

Rean smiled, lying on his chair. "Gram was correct. The runes of the Warm Boat can indeed be redirected to help with the freezing energy. Oh, don't mind it. We didn't do much anyway. Just make sure to use your own Divine Stones to fuel the runes running on your body, and you should be fine as long as the freezing energy doesn't increase."

The guy immediately bowed, thanking Rean and Kentucky. "I have no words to express my gratitude. If you need something from me, please do tell me."

Rean and Kentucky nodded before the guy retreated.

Kentucky moved to the border of the deck, lying his arms on the railing. "Say, did we really need this boat? From what I can see, we could have just flown through it."

Rean got up and joined Kentucky. "Don't be ridiculous. We would need a lot more energy to do such a thing. Also, we would have to make several stops. It is not worth the wasted time."

Duleti almost vomited blood after hearing that. Rean did not say it would be dangerous; he just said it would take too long! How can that be possible? Even Duleti, with her Water Affinity, would never risk entering this place in the same cultivation realm as those two.

"Fri-friends..." Not long after, someone else approached Rean and Kentucky. Just like the last guy, she, too, was at her limit. "Can you..."

Rean waved his hand again while Kentucky used his Sky Energy. They did the exact same trick as before. "Be careful."

One after another, more experts approached those two, and Duleti was already feeling numb. She wondered if her Water Affinity was really of any use. Those two didn't even have Water Affinity!

"Unbelievable, right?" It was then that Gram murmured on her side. Truth be told, he noticed how Rean and Kentucky didn't seem affected by the harsh environment even earlier than Duleti.

Duleti vigorously nodded and asked him. "Just what kind of freaks are these friends of yours?"

Gram shook his head in response. "I met them here on the deck. I have no idea who they are and how they can resist the freezing energy this well."

"I see..." Duleti took a deep breath. In the end, she closed her eyes again. "Forget it, forget it. If I focus too much on them, I won't be able to cultivate anymore and will lose all confidence in myself."

Gram faintly smiled, but he, too, returned to his cultivation.

In the following hours, Rean and Kentucky ended up helping another ten or so experts resist the freezing energy. Yet, at some point, even they were forced to circulate some of their Divine Energy to start driving the freezing energy out of their bodies.

Another two days passed, and the experts Rean and Kentucky helped were already in dire states again, even with the help of the runes that Rean drove into their bodies from the Warm Boat's Protection Formation. Yes, the freezing energy got even more brutal.

In fact, they weren't the only ones. What Rean and Kentucky did for them was so good that they actually found themselves in a similar position to those with Water Affinity in the same cultivation realm. So, considering they were suffering now, it meant those with Water Affinity who came to train were also in the same dangerous situation.

"Wh-what is happening here?" Duleti gritted her teeth. She was in the Space Bending Realm Peak Stage, and even she was barely holding on.

Gram, on her side, wasn't any better. "The overflow sh-shouldn't be th-this strong..." He looked at the group that he and Duleti joined and they were also in the same state. They were all Space-Bending Realm experts. At that moment, only those with Water Affinity and at the Elemental Space Realm seemed to still be able to hold on, but if things continued like that, even they would start to struggle.

Well, there were two guys who were not in the Elemental Space Realm but seemed to be coping with the environment better than anyone else. A light layer of soft blue light from Sky Energy kept all the freezing energy outside their bodies.

Rean looked at everyone on the deck, nodding his head. "Klinron wasn't kidding. This critical point of the overflow is indeed quite strong."

Everyone felt like crying. Is he making fun of their faces? He must be, right? Right?!

I'm sure he is... =X
