Chapter 3384: A Seal?
Chapter 3384: A Seal?
Suddenly, Klinron came out on the deck, also using his Divine Energy to keep the freezing energy away from his body. "Everyone, this trip is turning out way harder than our convoy initially expected. The Warm Boats' formations are working at full capacity, but they won't be of much help as things stand. Does anyone here still intend to go out of the ship for their own training? If so, tell me now as we are getting close to the dropping point."
Everyone there went silent. That was indeed the intention of most of the experts. Yet, the Overflow was just way too strong for them to resist at the moment.
Seeing that no one spoke, Klinron took it as a no. "Very well. Then, I'm going to tell the rest of the convoy that no one in our Warm Boat will disembark in the Glacial Corridor. Truth be told, no one in the other Warm Boats seems to want to come out either, which is the correct choice. We will also increase our speed so we can leave the center of the Corridor as soon as possible."
Klinron turned around and returned to the Warm Boat's bridge after that.
Rean and Kentucky then felt the speed of the Warm Boat increasing as they saw the other boats following close. They formed a strong front, piercing through the storm and the deep blue clouds. Everyone sighed in relief slightly. They were afraid of dying from the freezing energy, but at that speed, they shouldn't take more than a few hours to cross the central area of the Corridor. Once they are far enough from it, the freezing energy will diminish, and they will be able to resist it better.
Kentucky looked outside, his eyes narrowing. 'Rean, we have company.'
Rean also looked into those deep blue clouds they were passing through. The blue lights still hit the various ships, but their power seemed to increase more and more instead of diminishing. Rean spread his Divine Sense, which could go quite a few kilometers away even in that environment. 'I can't see anything. Are you sure?'
Kentucky didn't have time to answer, though. Suddenly, a gigantic eye opened right in front of the ships, taking everyone by surprise. Then, a head quickly took form, which was several times bigger than the various Warm Boats combined.
*Roar!*
'Is it a Dragon? It has a weird shape, though... Weird, I feel like I've seen something similar before.' Rean asked, seeing the many scales. It's just that the scales were the only thing that reminded him of a dragon.
Kentucky couldn't be sure, though. 'I don't know. I can feel a bloodline, but it is not like the Dragon Bloodlines I've felt in the past. Well, it might simply be a type of Dragon I haven't seen until now.'
The gigantic head opened its mouth, and that same Blue Freezing Light accumulated inside it. There was so much of it that even at such a distance, everyone felt the concentration of freezing energy increasing. Those watching didn't need to think much to know where the giant dragon-whatever head was aiming at.
"Shit!" Immediately, everyone began to jump out of the ships without thinking twice. If they were hit by that, they would be dead for sure.
Rean and Kentucky were even faster. The moment the head materialized, it appeared inside Rean's Divine Sense. At that moment, both Rean and Kentucky understood they were looking at a Divinity Realm being, something that shouldn't exist in the Divine Snow World, so they jumped even earlier than the others.
*Wrahhhhh!*
Finally, the dragon head attacked, and the world went bright with blue light. The freezing energy increased several times, even before hitting the ships.
*Zarrr!*
The freezing energy light hit all the ships, and in an instant, every single one of them turned into a huge chunk of ice. The formations of the Warm Boats were destroyed, and whoever remained inside was now part of the ice sculptures.
*Zush, zush!*
Rean and Kentucky appeared in mid-air several kilometers away from the location of the attack. They couldn't see the ships with their eyes due to the deep blue clouds, but their Divine Senses definitely could, so they understood the fate of those ships.
It was then that the two felt a chill on their backs, and it wasn't because they were now in the open. Instead, they could tell that the giant head was looking at them. They wouldn't stay there to ask why, though. Rean quickly jumped on Kentucky's back, and Kentucky prepared to flee.
However, that sensation vanished a split second later. The giant head began to merge into the deep blue clouds, and its eyes slowly closed. Soon, the entire head disappeared within the deep blue clouds and also from Rean and Kentucky's Divine Senses. It was hard to tell if it teleported away, simply concealed itself, or if it was real to start with.
"Just what was that guy even trying to do?" Kentucky couldn't help but ask. Since he couldn't detect the dragon or whatever it was, it was meaningless to try to flee from that location. First of all, with their cultivation, fleeing from a Divinity Realm expert simply wouldn't make sense.
Rean scanned the surroundings with his natural spatial perception, divine sense, and even his Light Element sensitivity. Yet, he still couldn't detect anything. "I don't know. It was obviously a demon beast... I think. Perhaps we entered its territory, and it got angry? Demon Beasts are very territorial, right?"
Kentucky didn't know. "Who can tell? I'm just hoping it doesn't attack us." Kentucky kept circulating his Sky Energy while speaking. "Still, this freezing energy is a lot stronger outside the Warm Boat Barrier. Let's go back to the Dimensional Realm and review our next steps."
"Seems like a good idea," Rean had no reason to say no.
"Hum?" However, even though Rean and Kentucky could communicate with the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, they failed to get it to drag them inside. "Oh, come on! Sister Orb, what are you doing?"
[Me?] Sister Orb felt offended. [I did nothing! What are you even talking about?]
"We can't enter the Dimensional Realm!" Rean complained.
[That's not possible. Your entrances are working jus- uh? What is this?] When Sister Orb tried to check Rean and Kentucky's connection to the entrance of the Dimensional Realm, she found something. [A seal...?]
"A seal?" Rean didn't expect that. "What kind? Soul Power? Divine Energy? Runes? Natural?"
[No, not that kind of seal,] Sister Orb quickly corrected. [I'm talking about the animal. There is truly a seal blocking your entrances to the Dimensional Realm.]
And as always, any Golden Tickets and Stones are welcome. ;)
