Chapter 3742: Leave It To Me
Chapter 3742: Leave It To Me
Yet, just as the Scythes were about to cut through Wergal’s head, they changed direction as Roan rotated his body. The Intent Scythes’ blades increased in length to match the Black Cetus’ size, and now they were each on one side of his neck. All Roan had to do was push them against Wergal’s neck, and his head would fly off.
"All of you, stand down!" Roan ordered.
The Black Cetuses didn’t move. Wergal was very important to their race, and Roan had his life in his hands. "Let him go!"
Rean laughed in response. "Hahaha! If we let him go, you will attack again, now won’t you? Do we look like idiots?" Rean looked at Roan. "You don’t answer that!"
The other Black Cetuses turned to Rean, who didn’t seem the least bit horried. "What, think you can use me to exchange for Wergal? Sure, go ahead, try it. You just need to capture me first." His Element Intent Swords emanated arcs of Red Lightning as Rean licked his lips.
"Stop!" Wergal ordered, making the Black Cetuses give up their ideas. He recognized Roan’s Scythes. There weren’t many, but with his experience, he had seen the Sixth Stage of Weapon Intent before. In fact, Roan’s ones seemed even more impressive than what he had seen in the past. "We already lost sight of Rean once, including me. He is obviously way too fast. If you really try, things might actually get even worse."
"Aren’t you a smart one?" Roan snorted. "Just like I said, experience is truly valuable."
"What do you want?" Wergal asked, ignoring Roan’s words.
"Us?" Roan shook his head in response. "We just want you all to wait here. Our friend should be discussing this issue with Puorton-Le and Vavalia-Hek back in the floating land. Well, Puorton-Le didn’t seem to know about this, only Vavalia-Hek."
Wergal found it strange. "How could Kentucky know about this? You can’t contact him directly. That place is completely blocked off. Only a few purposely built communication methods can send and receive messages there. Forget about the Werdlem Network."
"You just need to wait and see," Rean sat on Wergal’s back while Roan continued to hold his Scythes against Wergal’s neck. "You said it yourself, some purposely built communication methods still work. We just so happen to have one, and we already told our friend. Now, stay quiet and wait. Roan, I’ll be right back. Are you fine to stay here alone?"
Roan nodded. "Celis is far enough. Just go already."
---
Back in the Floating Land, Kentucky was laughing with his parents. They were just telling him about a time when they were forced to dive into a swamp to avoid their enemies, but somehow, it became a comical story.
"Sigh... that was truly a hard time," Ploto-Ume said, thinking about the events there.
Ratria naturally agreed with him. "I smelled like shit for weeks! Even now, I still want revenge for what happened."
Kentucky smiled, then crossed his arms, looking at Ratria-Ket. "Alright, alright. That was a good story. Can I ask something now, Ratria?"
"Are you truly not going to call me mom?" Ratria felt said once again.
Yet, Kentucky’s next words made her whole body freeze. "I mean, you just had those Black Cetuses try to kill Rean near the Great Void Shifter Formation. You can’t really expect me to change the way I think about you now, right? If anything, my opinion of you got quite worse."
Ploto-Ume and Frife-Ni’s eyes opened wide, looking at Ratria-Ket with shock on their faces. "You did what?!"
Ratria was as shocked as they were, obviously. "Wh-What are you talking about, Kentucky? How could I-"
"Yeah, yeah, of course you would say that..." Kentucky shrugged.
*Zush!*
Then, Rean appeared there by Kentucky’s side, much to everyone’s surprise. "I believe there was one thing I didn’t tell you about the connection between Kentucky, Roan, Celis, and me. We just happen to be able to share the same Pocket Dimensional Realm. That allows us to enter it somewhere else and come out by our companions’ side. It is very useful. Above all, we can talk to Kentucky pretty much anywhere in this Universe. You could say that all four of us are the Pocket Dimensional Realm Owners. It’s nice, don’t you think?"
If they were shocked before, now they had almost lost their senses. Shared Pocket Dimensional Realm? Being able to come out of it on any of its owners’ sides? Isn’t this a ridiculously powerful and convenient ability?
But then, Ploto-Ume and Frife-Ni looked at Ratria once again. "Ratria..."
Ratria understood. Pretending that nothing happened would be meaningless. Communication anywhere in the Universe. Coming out on any of the owners’ side. Obviously, not only did Kentucky know what happened, but Rean was now here to tell everything himself if necessary. Well, the ’coming out’ part only worked because they were still within the One Light Year Range... Rean wouldn’t tell them that.
"So?" Kentucky waited for an answer.
Ratria’s expression was terrible, but she decided to speak the truth. "Alright! I did it! I told Wergal that Rean and Roan had to die at all costs, including this Celis if he appeared, and that Kentucky should not know about this!"
Ploto-Ume still found it hard to believe. "But they-"
"I know!" Ratria cut in. "But they also want to take my baby away from me again! They had this whatever shared cultivation, so killing them was the only way I could think to set Kentucky free and convince him to stay here with us! I do not regret it!"
"Yeah, that’s more or less what we expected," Rean commented. "Kentucky, I left Roan holding Wergal’s life in his hand, so before he grows too impatient, I’ll go back. Wergal was basically just following orders, after all."
"Sure, I’ll take care of things here." Kentucky didn’t mind, and Rean left in the next instant.
"So," Kentucky looked at Ratria, "How about calling off this shit? And don’t tell me you have no way of contacting Wergal. I don’t believe it."
"Leave it to me," Ploto sighed. He basically took another one of those tablets, which indeed had the ability to surpass the blockage of the floating land.
