Death… And Me

Chapter 3927: Not Bad At All

Chapter 3927: Not Bad At All

Waving his hand, Spatial Power gathered around all the cultivators and demon beasts in the area, pulling them close to the man. The guy was feeling a little bit irritated, though. The Real Roan finally appeared, but he also managed to kill the two guys who seemed to be the leaders in this operation, Jesesfau and Montre-Ui. Well, Montre-Ui only died because Kristan pushed too far and almost died, though.

Still, he pulled one of the remaining Void Tempering Realm experts, grabbing his hand and sending his Divine Energy and Soul Power inside. Sure enough, he was doing a Soul Search, caring little about whether that could damage the soul or not. He followed with the same action to the rest of the Void Tempering Realm Experts, including those who came with Roan and Kristan.

*Tch...*

In the end, the man clucked his tongue, disappointment evident on his face. Some of the guys survived, but they became retards after the man finished. As for those in the Transition Realm and below, he didn’t even bother checking.

*Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang...*

One body after another exploded, and not too long after, everyone was dead, except for Roan and Kristan.

"These idiots don’t know anything. Even the two from the Divine Military Academy were completely in the dark about who recruited them for this," the man commented, looking at Roan and Kristan.

Kristan still couldn’t move much, but he was obviously shocked by that scene. However, he recognized the man who just saved them. "E-Elder Krue’Suan..."

"Do you know him?" Roan asked, not a hint of fear on his face.

"Yes," Kristan nodded. "Elder Krue’Suan is one of the Academy’s Elders. However, he is part of a small group under the direct command of Principal Ximao, an outsider."

Roan remembered the outsiders. Ximao was recruited from outside to make sure he wouldn’t side with any of the countries, and it seemed like Krue’Suan was the same.

Krue’Suan narrowed his eyes, checking Roan up close. "Different from Ximao, I wasn’t recruited by the countries. Instead, it is Ximao himself who is personally paying a few experts to work for him, so I don’t answer to anyone other than him."

He continued. "Leaving that aside, just what was that thing you created, that copy? It was strong enough to hold its own, and it wasn’t even a puppet."

Roan didn’t give a response. "Elder, you should know better than most that this kind of secret isn’t easily revealed."

Krue’Suan was taken aback for a short moment, but nodded in the end. "True. You are lucky Ximao told me to make sure you don’t die. Otherwise, I would have already read your mind just like I did to all those ants. However, remember that I don’t care if you have the highest level of Golden Radiance or are a peasant. Don’t test my patience next time."

Roan would laugh if he could. Too bad he never laughs. Test his patience? It would be a miracle if Krue’Suan could hold for a few seconds if Roan went all out against him. Of course, Roan wouldn’t tell him that. "I understand. Still, I can not talk about this."

Krue’Suan didn’t insist. "So be it. What about that Dark Red Lightning? Is it also a secret? The raw power of that thing is incredible."

"That one I can talk," Roan didn’t mind speaking this time, though. "There is a Divine Demon Beast called the Red Lightning Hawk. A girl called Foliana is actually a friend of mine, and we joined the academy together. I had time to analyze her bloodline, ultimately understand how the Red Lightning was created. I’m not as good as her, since she does have the Red Lightning Hawk’s bloodline, and I don’t. Still, when mixing it with my own Dark Element, I’m able to create that Dark Red Lightning Element that is just as good, if not stronger."

Why did Roan tell him that? Simple, Foliana’s power wasn’t a secret to anyone. It was her own bloodline, something she used all the time. Not to mention that Roan did indeed join the academy together with Foliana. As long as one paid enough attention and had access to the academy’s files, they would figure it out sooner or later. Thus, it was pointless for Roan to try to hide how he learned how to use Dark Red Lighting.

The clone, however, was something no one knew about. It used both his Dark Element and Rean’s Light Element. Without the two, Roan couldn’t create it, and therefore, neither could Rean without Roan’s Dark Element. It was something that required the twins to explain that they are actually connected to each other, and they definitely wouldn’t tell anyone about it.

"Copied a bloodline-related special element?" Both Krue’Suan and Kristan were amazed to hear that. What Roan just said was definitely much easier said than done. Even Krue’Suan didn’t know anyone who did such a thing.

In the end, Krue’Suan shook his head. "Whatever. I can check this information later. Now, both of you need to listen to me. As far as everyone is concerned, I have never been here. You were not saved by me. Do you understand?"

"This..." Kristan didn’t expect that. Shouldn’t this kind of thing be reported straight away?

Yet, Roan was unfazed. "Understood."

"Good," Krue’Suan prepared to leave. "I like smart kids like you. Make sure to explain that your idiot friend later."

Kristan wanted to cry. Krue’Suan was obviously talking about him. He didn’t think he was wrong about reporting this, though.

Krue’Suan didn’t know what Kristan was thinking, nor did he care. He just wanted to leave. Yet, just as he was about to open a Spatial Gate to leave, Roan asked him something. "Elder Krue’Suan, why did you take this long to come and save us?"

Krue’Suan stopped for a moment. "How do you even know I was nearby?"

Roan snorted. "You said it yourself, didn’t you? You stated that my copy was capable of holding its own, which means you saw everything that happened from the very start, or at least close to it."

Krue’s Suan narrowed his eyes. Indeed, he did say that, and Roan caught that clue. "Because my mission was to protect you, one of the so-called golden newcomers. However, I knew that copy wasn’t the real you, so I was waiting until you appeared. If you didn’t, I wouldn’t have shown myself. Truth be told, I think you were quite the idiot yourself. No one knew that the copy was not you. Shouldn’t you have run away and left everything behind? Well, not that I care about whether you did it or not."

"So you could see through my copy, uh?" That’s where Roan wanted to get. "How? I’m pretty confident in my ability to make it."

"Hehe!" Krue’Suan made a slashing motion with his hand, and a Spatial Gate opened as he walked inside. "You should know better than most that this kind of secret isn’t easily revealed."

Touché!

Krue’Suan shot Roan’s words directly back on his face!

Without waiting for an answer from Roan, Krue’Suan entered the Spatial Gate and disappeared with it.

Roan couldn’t help but faintly smile. "Not bad, not bad at all..."
