Chapter 4077: Poor Guy
Chapter 4077: Poor Guy
C44 was owned by Clafiu Zizinda, a cultivator from a clan of the same name. This was a pretty stable universe, with nothing much going on in it. Of course, considering the scale of a Universe, many things were happening inside. It’s just that nothing of it had any impact on the Zizinda Clan or on the rest of the Werdlem Empire.
Today, the Great Void Shifter found in the Zizinda Clan was quiet as always. As a Rank C Universe, it definitely received more visits from bigger Universes than a Rank F did. Still, it wasn’t that much of a difference. The Void Shifters here, one in the Zizinda Clan, and a few others in some big powers of C44, would only activate once every few hundred years at most. And usually, it was a scheduled visit, so everyone expected those shifts.
However, today, the Zizinda Clan’s Formations Masters were surprised by a sudden contact. Their Formations Master in charge, a man called Rurel, got a call through the official channels. "What?! What do you mean someone from A1 is coming? The next visit shouldn’t happen for the next two hundred years at least! Also, wasn’t it supposed to be someone from the Werdlem Universe instead?"
Yet, the voice of the other side was adamant. -Listen, we are just passing the message over. Activate your Great Void Shifter. We are redirecting the shift there. This is an order.-
"Y-Yes, yes!" Rurel didn’t waste time, passing the order to the other Formations Master. "Quick, quick! Activate the Great Void Shifter!"
"What?!" Everyone was taken with their pants down. "Sir, we are not ready to activate it. We shouldn’t recei-"
"Do you think I don’t know that?!" Rurel cut in. "We have people from A1 coming over for some fucking reason! Forget everything else and make it work! Someone, go and tell Master Clafiu of the visitors, now!"
Clafiu was in his chamber, cultivating calmly, when he received the message. "Hum? A visit from A1? Zentian Empire? What would those guys possibly want here?" He scratched the back of his head, feeling annoyed. Then, he got up and disappeared.
Around an hour later, the Zizinda Clan finally put the Great Void Shifter back online, adding many Divine Stones and activating it. As mentioned before, they can’t select the paths. That part is determined by the Werdlem Empire, which receives the requests and informs both sides with Shifters that they are sending experts between both points. The coordinates for shifters between universes are only known by the Werdlem Universe.
*Zup!*
Suddenly, a small group of four experts appeared in the shifter. Naturally, it was Rean and his group. "Oh! Here we are, it seems."
Clafiu narrowed his eyes. He came here to receive a visit from A1, but it turned out to be a bunch of Divinities. Of course, this Universe couldn’t hold Celestials due to its fragility. It’s just that Clafiu expected to see some Semi-Celestials at least. "We weren’t expecting anyone to come this time. Who are you, and what do you want here?"
Rean turned to the guy. "Ah, hi! Nice to meet you, Senior Clafiu. Please forgive us for the sudden visit. I’m Rean, and these are my companions. We have a few things to do here, but nothing that involves your Zizinda Clan. Don’t worry, it won’t cause you or anyone here any trouble. It’s just that we can’t talk about it either."
Rean felt quite happy, as it was the first time he arrived at a Universe without hiding his and his group’s presence. "Everyone seems to be on edge here. Well, that’s to be expected, given the short notice. Here, take it."
Rean then threw a Spatial Ring to the Formations Master, Rurel. He could tell the guy was the one responsible for this place with a glance. "Inside, you will find more than enough Divine Stones to make up for the Shift expenditure." Then, he turned to the Universe Owner. "Senior Clafiu, I hope you understand my Zentian Empire’s position."
Clafiu wasn’t very happy with the request, but Rean was still treating him with respect. Besides, he couldn’t really antagonize someone who could request the use of the shifters from a Rank A Universe. "Whatever. It is not the first nor the last time those from above will come here without warning us."
Clafiu turned to one of the experts there. "Pala, you go and accompany them. You will be responsible for catering to their needs. I’m going back to cultivate. Sigh... To think I stopped at such a good moment just for this. I’m off." And so, Clafiu left.
Pala, a Peak Stage Divinity Realm Angel, came forward and bowed to Rean and the others. "Hello, friends. I’m Pala Zizinda. I heard you can’t talk about the reason for your visit, but let me know if there is anything I can help you with."
Hick came forward. "You will be of great help indeed. But first, let’s leave."

Back in A1, Zentian Empire, Zafina heard of the twins’ group destination. "They went to C44?"
"Yes," her subordinate confirmed. "The shift has just concluded."
Zafina pondered a bit, nodding in slight surprise. "Zanbril is smarter than I thought."
"You mean?"
Zanfina spoke the obvious. "I know that Kentucky won against a Celestial even though he was a Divinity. That’s why I went and tried to recruit him myself. However, I still had my doubts about it. Could a Divinity really beat a Celestial head-on? So, even though I talked to him and tried to recruit him to my faction, I still thought that perhaps Kentucky was hiding his real cultivation somehow."
"Yet, you just said he went to C44. Other than the Universe Owner, a Rank C Universe can’t hold another Celestial inside. You need to be at least a Rank B Universe. Lo and Behold! Kentucky is absolutely not a Celestial, or he wouldn’t have been able to shift to C44. He might be a hidden Semi-Celestial, but I’m now inclined to believe he is genuinely a Divinity."
Zafina smiled. "That’s Zanbril way of saying ’look, this is the guy I just got to recruit.’ He proved Kentucky wasn’t a Celestial in the most straightforward way possible."
"That’s not all. Kentucky beat a Celestial without being a Celestial himself. Now that he is in C44, he is pretty much invincible there. Only the Universe Owner could possibly do something to him. Zanbril also found a way to keep Kentucky safe from the princes and princesses who might think about getting rid of him because of his potential. That’s not even considering that Rean, Roan, and Celis, who, according to the reports I got, are likely just as strong."
"Well played, Zanbril. Well played."
*Achooo!*
Somewhere else, Zanbril couldn’t help but sneeze. "Hum?"
The poor guy thought of none of that.
